Wishing you the best, Terri. And I agree with the Divine Mrs, you SHOULD NOT have to wait long for results! Sometimes they forget how stressful all of this is… grrr…

Best of luck to Nancy and Musiclover too!! All of you ladies are in my thoughts…

    Rose.

Hi all, I forgot to come back and tell you the outcome. I posted an exegesis on the Faslodex thread, but the end result was:

Onc gave me a zillion options, of which only two [we agreed] were viable. (1) do nothing. (2) layer Ibrance onto the current therapy. My onc and my husband both read the scan report as "basically unchanged". A pessimist would say it was slightly (but only slightly) worse.

So I opted for choice #1. Scan again in four months. Fun times!

Thanks everyone. I met a friend for sushi and we talked a lot. She's also a Speech Language Pathologist, and she saw nothing wrong with me tonight, which made me feel better. I feel much better after dinner tonight, but will feel even better after the MRI results.

Good luck, Terri! Sending best wishes to you, fingers and toes crossed your scan looks good.

Results for me tomorrow. I should be used to scanxiety after nearly 6 years, but my mind is playing tricks on me. I keep telling myself I can't possibly go from running a half marathon 10 days ago to having major liver progression, right? Here's me and my amazing sisters-in-law crossing the finish last Sunday - total highlight of my summer!

We have a big cruise planned, leaving in about a month (bucket list trip for sure, Rome to Istanbul!...I need to post on the travel thread), I will be so sad if we can't go. Hoping for the best, but bracing for bad news just in case.

I have lost track of everyone individually, but best to all waiting on scans or results.

    Nancy,
Even in the best of health I was never a runner, so I tip my hat to you! Great pic. Since I am a cruise nut, I have faith that you will make the trip and have a wonderful time. I would love to do a Mediterranean cruise one day. Every good wish and thought is going your way.

Excellent photo, Nancy. All best wishes for clean scan results, for you and for everyone.

Speaking of which, how do you all do with lying still during the scans? I am quite good at being very still the entire time to the point that all that's moving is my diaphragm as I breathe shallowly. But of course, the very second the scan starts, and I'm told not to move, I get a very strong itch somewhere, my nose, eye, cheek or something wants to play a game of, ha, ha, you can't scratch me now!

Nancy...beautiful, strong, strong willed,  determined, powerful, joyful, fun...all things that describe you (many more, of course), but just know the energy you give the world..all the while staring down a cruel disease.  I hope you go to Istanbul & send amazing pictures!!!!

    Terri, Best wishes to you.

Nancy, Cool picture and I do hope that you go on your trip. (& all that Ronnie has said too.)

Mrs. M, Yep, nose usually starts getting itchy soon after the scan begins.

    nancy, enjoy that cruise!

Terri, so happy for you. Those little quirks or whatever they might be called sometimes happen to me, too. I will be looking right at my deodorant on top of my dresser and still open the drawer where I store it and look for it. Or sometimes reach up to turn off a light on the left side of the wall when the switch has always been on the right. In this Information Age, we can wear our brains thin processing it all and need to reboot every now and then.
