PattyPeppermint/LoverofLife: I'd probably end up using them as replacement suction cups in the sort of dart set my sister's kids would use. Only I'd have trouble explaining why I was giggling uncontrollably.

Sas-schatzi: I know you're right about where to go for a proper second opinion--my PCP did also mention that we'd be better off going to a teaching hospital or research center, as they're the ones who specialize in specializing in cancer treatment, as opposed to being out in the field.

Emotionally and physically the facility in Chicago is the obvious choice...but... Cost is an issue for us--I'm effectively unemployed, as I've been trying to switch careers (librarian to editor) only these bleep medical problems keep getting in the way, and my husband's cobbling together two part time jobs that don't add up to full time. It does come down to "How much am I willing to pay for my own peace of mind?" I don't know how much of a difference being at the extreme early end of the spectrum makes in terms of appropriate treatment.

Sigh. Must put off further worries until after the appointment with the surgeon tomorrow. (I know, I know...)

Queenie Well, that put's a different color on the horse. Stage 1 grade 1 Er+ PR+. That algorithm has to be on the site. Plus, you mention an ovarian thing? Cancer. Were you tested for BRCA? your Mom had Ovarian didn't she? Her BRCA status? Your BRCA status? HMMM. How'd you find this buggar? Other family history?

If I didn't have great insurance wouldn't have done half of what I've done.(whatever--who knows). But I understand money. My parents lost everything when the three of us had polio in 1952. Figuring how to get all the answers you want without breaking the bank is important.

There's a thread on BCO re:Color Genomics. Genetic testing for BRCA's and about a dozen other genetic breast issue combo problems. 249$ whole shootin match. But the wait time on return is about 12 weeks now. Getting longer b/c they are so cheap. FarmerLucy is the lead on that..

In the calls to kalamazoo today. Breast surgeon @Bronson is Nancy Kalinowski and Daniel Barnes @ Borgess. Which ones yours. OOPS , you didn't have sx there. What town are you in. I figure you are in the deep southwest corner of Michigan? Coldwater is that way? Niles?

Patty, I'm not angry. What happened is I think my post was only partially read. Takes it from funny to not funny. I like funny. Chattypatty

BTW have you noticed the girls getting perkier? The backstroke is my go to swim stroke b/c of bum neck. I guess all that windmill motion really works the pecs. Girls are sitting nice. I should be doing some weights---2 1/2 lbs for upper arm. Mistakenly gave them all away. Now I need them.

Patty- thanks for sharing the info about the fake nips. My sister had a mastectomy and never got a nipple done, but has been thinking about doing a tatoo or other things. I will tell her about these because she might be interested. She is a swimmer so having one on with her bathing suit might really help her.

I got my crown done, and it was quick and painless. Just have to take it easy with the whole food thing for 24 hours.

I am going to see Steely Dan and Elvis Costello in concert tomorrow night. It probably going to rain, but I don't care! I have loved Steely Dan forever. Like Elvis a lot too. SD was here last summer at one of the casinos, but I was out of town so I missed it. I have missed them every time they have come here through the years. This concert will be awesome with two headliners!

Sas-shatzi: PM message sent so I don't completely hijack the thread.

Jazzy: I'm an avid swimmer myself, and looking at least passable in a lap-swimming suit is one of my concerns. My sympathies to your sister?

jazz. - enjoy the concert. I never wore the nips in the pool but I wore thema n the shower and they stayed on. I don't use them often but love them when I feel like it.

SAS. - thanks for back stroke firm girls suggestion. I had breast reconstruction surgery years ago. They still are firm and upright. No drooping possible . yea.! Now if I can work on this drooping lower belly. Not sure whst caused it : age, lack of exercise lost elasticity ,etc. I am the skinniest ever in my life and I didn't have this bottom roll even at me heaviest. Gotta fix it though. It certainly makes me self-conscious. Hoping swimming laps will help. Any ideas to get it off quick? My back does not allow sit-ups.

Hugs all aound my dear friends

We had lunch up at the Lodge at Echo Lake! It was VERY good....! Then stopped in Idaho Springs, and walked around into those cute shope.... Had an ice cream cone, and man I am sooooooo tired! Ha!

Tomorrow we are going to a movie.... Magic Mike whatever....! First to lunch, then the movie.... It is a secret.... I'll tell George we saw Minions.... He would be perturbed, and jealous, and probably P.O'd.... EVEN though I am in the company of our 2 grown Daughter's and one of Sheri's friends....

Oh guess what? So we get home, and out in the alley were these gallon glass jars.... You know, with the rubber on the lid, and the wire closures? The girls smelled one, and there had been marajuana in one! Haaaaaaaaaaahah! I smelled it, and put that one back out back. I can wash those huge jars and put something in them for SURE! So then in Idaho Springs, this one shop sold those glass pipes, and "bongs".... cute little decorated blown glass things.... Janie explained what and how a bong is used.... WITH WATER yet! I mean what the HELL? WHAT will they think of next? What does the water do? They didn't SELL weed, but they had the "fixin's"..

    Kind of like this....

Okay.... guess that's enough of a lesson for you gals.... Talk to you tomorrow.... xoxoxo

Had to back off laps b/c neck got unhappy.... always something lol.

Bongs. Chippendale men. Suction cup nips.

O-kay. Is it telling that I recognized the bong, having grown up in the Haight-Ashbury, despite never having smoked, or otherwise ingested the stuff?

But I will go to bed distracted and amused
