Ms. Blondie, I am excited for you too! Two weeks will be here before you know it.

Ms. Smaarty, love the pic of Tahoe...so serene and relaxing. I know you are having a wonderful time doing what you love. We still need to go to Crepeville when both of us are free. When is your trip to Ireland? August?

Ms. Chevy, I can't believe you are painting your fence and then your house?! Inside or outside? No falling, ok? I am glad you are keeping busy doing what you love. Rosie looks like she could be related to one of my friends' mom with the high cheek bones and sweet smile. You reap what you sow Ms. Chevy...good for you! You both are blessed. I learned from a friend a few years ago that life is about relationships. You can have all the things that the world has to offer and not find joy if you don't have love. Hoping that the appointment will go well next Wednesday. The word "biopsy" will scare anybody. Almost forget to answer your question about where I live- I live at the border of a rural area and suburb. There is a nice trail near my home that separates the community and a large open field where cows graze.

Ms Spookie, hope your insulin pump is fixed by now and the Uti is long gone. It seems like when it rains it REALLY pours.

HI1, glad you had fun on your cruise. Moving is so stressful until you get everything in its place, then it feels good. I really want to downsize to a smaller house. I am tire of spending precious time cleaning. We would need to give away a lot of things. It seems like the longer you live in a house, the more stuffs you accumulate. I wish I could live like a minimalist.

Susan, hope your arm is better. NOthing is slowing you down tho right?

Rose, love the hide and seek story. The DD with her love interest, is that your DD1 or DD2? I think my hubby would freak out if our daughters date someone with tattoos. For me, I care more about characters.

Jazzy, what's next? I can't picture you with dreadlocks haha.

Goats, I thought you would have your blender I mean disposal installed by now. You must live in no man land for service to be so slow.

Marlana, pudding and bacons, sweet and salty go together. I have been thinking about you and wonder how you are doing? Sorry to hear about your lack of energy. You are half way done with chemo right? Two of four or six?

FrenchFrey, thinking of you also. Saw that you had your chemo finally. Hoping that the chemo kicks those mets where it hurts!

Pattycake, thinking of you too. Miss your hootie hoo.

Ms SASS, got a good laugh with dummy Annie. Man, I would pee in my pants if I saw and thought what you thought. I used to have nightmares about the basement in the hospital because I was told that is where they keep expired people. I know I am off haha.

Anyway, we had a good time in Yellowstone. Saw many animals in their natural habitats. The scenery was spectacular....so serene and beautiful. Oh and the smell of the forest and wild flowers....I wish I can share that with you. You just have to be there. Will post pictures soon.

Hubby got a speeding ticket on our way back. Do you see the name of the court on the left upper corner? Yeah, they hit the jackpot with him haha. It is crazy how the speed limit changes from 70mph to 35mph in a short distance on this long stretch highway. I wonder how many people get pulled over. Oh well. He is overdue for a speeding ticket

Hi my lovelies! Okay, about that mysterious rash? You know, years ago, I would get these rashes, and then hives, for some un-godly reason. I tried EVERYthing I KNEW to figure it out. Went to Dermatologists, and Allergists.

I finally figured it out on my OWN, after 3 years of this! I would get this worse, like every month... I kept track... I finally asked for an estrogen shot... because the once a month thing just seemed to point to a hormone imbalance. I had a hysterectomy 3 years before, and this all started about 3 months after that.

That shot wound me up in Emergency! My face blew up like a tomato, I couldn't open my eyes... Man, that was miserable... I was even scared to see what I looked like! But THEN I figured out if that ESTROGEN had THAT much of a reaction, and made me WORSE, then it MUST be some sort of imbalance! The Dermatologist put me back on THE PILL! And it all got better.

So THAT skin problem came from "inside".... The LAST time, was from using "Hot Spot Spray" on our little Lacee! THAT took me forever to figure out. I would spray it on her... with gloves... BUT then when I would pet her, I got it all over my hands again... I was allergic to Mercaptaben-something in the spray.

Both times I had to figure this out on my own.... because THEY don't know what we are doing...

Fence almost finished on one side! Next comes the house.... then the car! Ha! Actually I already touched up my car... and it turned out pretty good! See, I scraped the paint on my lower right quarter-panel.. on a wire-mesh paper shredder! But I finally sanded, sanded some more, then sprayed on primer... then the actual color, THEN the finishing glaze...

I should open my own paint shop business...

Loveroflife- what is next? Hopefully a juicy new contract. Having fun until I get some new work for my biz. Got a couple good things pending. In the meantime, I am embracing the time to do some things I enjoy, get rested, etc.

My hair is not ideal for dreadlocks, but there are caps with fake dreadlog wigs that I can buy. Ya mon!

good morning ladies. Checking in and saying hi.

I've been in a depressed fog. DSS still in tx with meme. 3rd week missung them like crazy. They are supposed tobe home sat. The time I thought Dh and I would spend as a honeymoon has turned out not to be. With me miserable all the time and dh just completely exhausted and beat down we've barely spoken at all. Hangung in here but often wondering why.

    Hootie hoo

Patty- I am sorry to hear you are missing the kiddos and things with DH are not easy. Hugs to you and wishing you better days.

Can you get out for a movie or something? Or if not well enough to do that, watch some rentals/netflix at home? Movies tend to take my mind off the hard things for awhile. You need something uplifting or funny if you do watch a movie. Nothing depressing!

Lovely - Oh install service is fine. I just scheduled it for a day when DH is off so he can deal with any complications. I have the AC checkup service for the same day. For years DH has been unreachable at work. Try having major reconstruction done with unexpected problems. And you know I always make the wrong decision lol. So if I can I make those kind of stuffs happen on his day off. Oh speeding tickets. I spent 3 years doing hospice nursing. So, so, so surprised I never got one there. Now the rural hospice esp. at night I might have talked myself outta one, the hospice was well known in the area. The other 2 years were metro so prolly not. DH did get us thru a construction area one night about 1 am. Talked guy into letting us thru. Well come to think of it I did get stopped twice, once for no license plate light and once for speeding just entering town. Both warnings.

Oh want to see pic of Jazzy with dreadlocks.

Low and behold DH did bathe the dog last night. But dumb dog tried to hide all night from us. I understand hiding b4 a bath but after??. I do believe she's getting a bit senile at 8. Have you seen ProPlan has a "bright mind" dog food for seniors? Wish I could find a trial size. But not for just a bit, she just got a new bag of her food and geesh at the price it is I have to use it up. She is still barfing occasionally. And turns up nose at food occas. all day. And it's not like lots of excitement around here disturbing her routine.

Oh Patty wish I was closer to you. We could at least hang out by your pool and shoot the breeze. Know that I'm thinking of you and praying for you and your family.

Oh Patty, chit chit chit...........Hugs... Look things suck, but even if you don't go to ESSEX, get in bed naked and just cuddle. They're is this thing called skin brushing. Just lightly run your hand over everything. It's the lighest form of massage with little energy expenditure. It has the same effect though. It is so relaxing and you have all the benefits closeness can bring. DBF is so funny when he asks for it " Do that thing with your hand." (Chevy shut up). If you end up going to ESSEX, that's  :), but if not, you will still be smiling

Loverly n  Marley, One time I had  resusi- annie at home. Company coming. DH put Annie on the counter in the small bathroom. Light was off. BIL opened the door. We almost had to resuscitate him. There is something about diffuse light and the unexpected.......Twilight zone? Stuffs everywhere, been decluttering for several years now when the mood strikes. Doesn't strike too often. Then I work for hours. Very cut throat in that mood. Stuffs that had a home for years, ends up out and gone.

Littlegoats, Yes, my nursing uniform and badge has saved me a few time. Hate those speed traps. Love the owl pic. I cleaned out lots of old files yesterday. Lots of old lab n image reports, if they weren't baselines and necessary. Filled a large bag.... Wonder what they put in the bright mind dog food? Probably Omega3.

Loverly you are just like JWoo. You both catch everyone. I read and then forget. More forgetting going on these days it seems

Blondie we should tighten down how we are going to accomplish our short visit. Do you want to do it here or by PM?

Spooks I got your message. This afternoon maybe?

Patty I hear you. The QOL thing just keeps getting narrower... tinier. I never feel good any more. Right now it's constant digestive gut issues. I look pregnant.. belly distended. Stool is getting through, but eating makes me feel like I swallowed a brick. I didn errands yesterday and crashed. Saw onc Monday labs are fine except, white count (which would be up because of resovling spider bite- which is taking it's sweet time). Anyway CT and MRI Friday no news until next week I am sure. ILC can mets to abd and lining, stomach etc.. Something is definitely wrong. Cancerland is just so much fun fun fun.

I did eat the best blueberries yesterday... they went down well. Huge heat wave expected here by Friday 99-104 and record breaking is forcasted. This is the driest and hotest June I can remember. We are having folks over Saturday for BBQ and taking the kids to a festival in 104 heat.. OY. We will see how long I last.

Maple bacon donuts just gross me out, can't figure out why they are so popular. We have a popular farm stand/ orchard that sells apple spice donuts.. to die for warm with coffee or hot cider.

Yup Sassy - EPA, "enhanced botanical oils" and glucosamine. One reason I haven't even thought about trying it. Mobility is not one of her problems but then she's tiny 16-18#. She can jump at the fence/door all day long. Easily jumps up on the goat bench, thinks she's hiding there. I may just have to break down and schedule a vet appt. Just as it starts to get hot/humid here. She's on Blue Basics already, think it has lots of stuff in it. And when I remember I give her a fish oil. Doggie derm. wanted her on high dose but I kinda worry about pancreatitis esp with her delicate digestion. She may start getting krill oil, I have an extra bottle lol. Her food is salmon/potato, shoot she gets plenty of EPA in that. I think Rosie said she feeds the same stuff. I just have her wheat/chicken free hoping it will help her skin problems.

Umm I think I could eat maple bacon donuts. Donuts is one thing we just never have. I get some snacky type stuff for DH's lunch but I rarely eat them. Reminds me I have some frozen mini muffins. Maybe have more tea and muffins here in a minute.

Texas has peaches and canteloupes. I have trouble getting any local stuff around here. Occasionally the grocery will make a buy of local canteloupes that are wonderful but very short season. I think right now we're getting mexican ones. I did buy a 1/2 watermelon and it was OK. I'd bought a small seedless a couple weeks b4 and it was not great. It's 25 minutes to another town with a farmers' market. Occas. I catch a roadside stand. DH won't eat tomatoes and that seems to be the great draw. I would be in heaven with all those berries Rosie.

Is this what you guys are talking about?

    https://www.proplan.com/dogs/platforms/bright-mind...

Also Peppermint.... SOMEtimes wouldn't you just like to walk away from all the drama, and stay away for awhile? Like all night, or just run-away somewhere.... if even to Starbucks.... Then CALL while you are gone, and explain that you are NOT having any fun, and that you hope things will be better whenever you get back there. I don't understand this....." DSS still in tx with meme"..... What am I....... DENSE?

My DH is getting older, and hating it.... He swears he will not be here long enough to even WORRY about having the house painted. I know he is depressed, but HELL, aren't we ALL sometimes? He would NOT take anything either.... Would rather be crabby and complain.

Does this come with age? Because I'm sure not worried about getting older.... We are just plain lucky to even BE here! And I have things to DO.... and not worry about getting older.....

I have to paint, and water my gardens, and enjoy it ALL. I just hate to always be facing a Debbie-downer..... Sometimes I can't help but laugh when he says something so whiny and "poor-me" crap. Oh well..... I have too much to do to worry about it.

Chevy translation "Dear son's in Texas with Grandma"

Everyone I invited a newbie Bex83. She's a hoot. Will make a good hootie. Can't say hooter bad connotation.

Thanks Chevy for the proplan link.

Litllegoats interesting, Is your dog on it or you want to put him on it. My Schatzi is 8 y/o she is becoming an anxiety basket. Today she was afraid to go outside with me while swimming. I had to drag her by he collar. Lot's more stuff. Mainly she's really sensitive to  changes  in barometric pressure. There was a dark cloud coming in and two hours later  we ARE ready to storm. She has a thunder jacket. But she just can't wear it outside when it's 89* and sunny. Decreasing her anxiety would help allot. I used to put Omega3 on her food then got away from it. Expensive. I did it for her coat and vascular stuff. But if it helps her brain too, I will go back to doing it.

Newbies, Loverly, Frenchfrye, Marley, the (Chevy shut up). Cami and Chevy would always tease each other that way. I just figured that Chevy would seriously find something risqué to post or say. But she just blew right by it. Now she'll come back and say "What, what did I miss?"

Will call after 7 from dog park if not raining. Phone working? Chevy, your DH sounds like Eyeore.

Ya'all need a giggle? Background. DDs friend, 41, extremely obese, over 400#, was dx'd with DCIS this week. Her BS, who was also mine, is recommending mx. She wants recon. So yesterday we had a chat. She claims she heard that MAGNETS can be implanted in the chest wall, then used magnetized prosthesis. It was all I could do to not bust a gut. BTW,she is an RN.

Yes I would think about putting her on the Bright Mind stuff. But like I said just bought Yikes another $55 bag of dog food so not gonna be soon. She seems back to her old self today. Sometimes she will try to hide if she's pooped in the house - a very rare occurrence for her. She's been sleeping all day on her blankie pillow. No barfs, eating like usual. I give her only about 15-20 little bites at a time so less she can barf.

    Nope can't say hooters.

Hmm Spookie. Tough going thru airport screeners with those implanted. I knew little about BC b4 I got it but pretty sure I wouldn't have thought of that.

We have so many implantable things ---I'll look

LOL, these folks are the future

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/08/tech/forget-wearable-tech-embeddable-implants/

Pacemakers have been controlled by magnets for years as have implantable pain thingys. They're now pacers for the stomach about ten years old

    http://www.uptodate.com/contents/pacemakers-beyond-the-basics

You all know when we go for MRI's we have to sign off on oddles of things in the body. MRI is Magnetic Imaging Resonance. Twin back in 1996 had TE's in. When in the MRI tube, she started to feel a pull on her chest. She screamed for them to stop. She had no clue why. They're was a metal strip in the TE . I went to our imaging department and they had no clue. They researched it and added it to the check list. No idea if the alerted the FDA. But here's a link talking about TE's

    http://www.mrisafety.com/SafetyInfov.asp?SafetyInfoID=165

This link is to a case report about how the TE was dislodged and the external magnet couldn't locate the internal magnet 2001.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11192033

Spookie, take it easy on the gal, I'm guessing something was explained that she didn't quite get what was said. When I was working, things were  presented frequently, that changed are total way of working. Get her to explain what she was talking about

Off to counselors, I most often take Schatzi. It's therapy for her too. Anxiety about being in an office i.e. vets. Strange people in an enclosed space. She's great with it now. At first she would hide under a chair, for years now she just wig-waggles.

I just started my chemo yesterday and feel pretty good. Went up today and got my neulasta shot Stopped by a health food store and bought some matcha tea.

In my jammies now and plan on taking it easy. I feel good!

I guess I need to read through the thread to find out about boob magnets.

Not to add fuel to the fire since I have never heard of a magnitized boob - cochlear implants are held in place with a magnet against the mastoid on the skull. That's the only "prosthetic" I have ever heard of that uses a magnet.

Frey- glad you are on the other side of the first infusion. I hope the SEs are minimal for you and it sounds like you are taking it easy, which is a good thing. You have lots of ladies here who have done chemo and can help you with great advice.

Some good news on the work front. I went in on a teaming arrangement with a tech firm here in town on an RFP for some work with the state and we won! Now I am busy getting some work done to be ready for the subcontract agreement we need to get in place next so we will be ready to go when they start sending new projects our way. Whoot whoot!

correct on the MRI???? I had to take my pump off for the last one, my MedicAlert bracelet has gone in. I told the tech I had a 4 level cervical fusion, lots of metal there, and a vena cava filter. Nothing blew up or got de-maged.

I'm guessing she saw it somewhere with DrGoogle.

    Boob magnets---huh???? Haha

Patty, my dear, so sorry things did not turn out as planned....bummer. Rough road you are traveling on. With little or no quality of life, I think even saints would become like Eeyore !! Who wouldn't? How is your thyroid level now? Sometimes we just need a little help from conventional drugs to help us function as normal as possible--whatever that is. As mom with young children, we are not only fighting for ourselves, but for our kids. As human, we only have so much strength to endure the brutal battle before we feel defeated. I think the sex therapist, aka Ms. Sass, has a point in regard to skin to skin contact. If it leads to more, then embrace it gratefully. BC is hard on our spouses also. They tag along with us down the same path. Some bail out because it's too much for them to handle. Keep your focus on the Savior. It has helped me during my difficult times. To Him be the glory. Wish you were nearby so I can give you a real hug.

FrenchFrey, glad to hear you are feeling good. Hoping for no bone pain with Neulasta.

Goats, have you tried giving your pup Bison? My Sis' dogs has/had allergies. The poodle mix used to get chronic ear infections and skin rashes and the dachshund would get skin problems until she changed their food to Bison. Salmon did not help....I am not surprised if they were farm raised fed with GMO junk and contaminated with antibiotics and other chemicals.

Jazzy, ThumbsUp for trying to enjoy life. Sounds like you have an ideal job which allows you to have down time so you can find joie de vivre.

Talk about Bison, here are the pictures of Yellowstone. Sorry the pictures don't do justice to the actual beauty of the National Park.

Talk about boops...yes Rose, I confess I'm adding fuel to the fire. Haha

"Good Laugh       about this Biology exam"

This is straight from Scotland.  Students in an
advanced  Biology class were taking their mid-term
exam.  The last question was, 'Name seven advantages of
Mother's  Milk.  The question was worth 70 points or
none at all.  One student, in particular, was hard put
to think of seven advantages.  However, he wrote:

    1) It is perfect formula for the child.
    2) It provides immunity against several diseases.
    3) It is always the right  temperature.
    4) It is inexpensive.
    5) It bonds the child to mother, and vice versa.
    6) It is always available as needed.
And then the student was stuck.
Finally, in desperation, just before the bell rang
indicating the end of the test, he wrote:
    7) It comes in two attractive containers and it's high
enough off the ground where the cat can't get it.

    He earned an A.
