Spookie- mother forklift. LMFAO!

It's so interesting reading about the girls Rosie! When I put my hearing aids in, it's like "turning on" the world.... But when I take them out, I can't hear anything...
And DH still thinks it's funny when I suddenly jump when I realize he is right behind me... He is quiet, and I've asked him over and over to PLEASE don't sneak in the house, or up next to me... because even with the aids, you CANNOT hear things as well! But you know, it could be worse......
And then HE has super-sonic hearing, and can hear a flea fart in a wind-storm! He wears ear-plugs at night...
Going with our daughter "from another Mother" July 1st. Going for a biopsy...... Rosie is so afraid... She called last night, and I just KNEW something was wrong... The Mammograms, and Ultra-sound "think" there is something "different"... and of course like all of us, she is afraid.... But I told her I would be there with her, on that Wednesday, then we'll see what comes up... Her Husband has to work... After, we will go to breakfast....
She was with me and DH and the girls for my surgery, and after... She is from Viet Nam.... and just had her eyes "opened"... They did this on her eye-lids... because they were "drooping"....
Boy if it ain't one thing it's another.........

-
Chevy- I hope your friend's biopsy is negative. Many things are benign, had a few of those along the way as long as the lovely surprise in 2012. It is good she has you to go with her. I had my first biopsy at age 39 during a baseline mammo and was terrified. It turned out to be nothing and hope the same for your friend.
It hit 101 yesterday, ugh. Like walking into a blast furance when you go outside. But the evening was lovely and the skies did their magical display last night of the moon, with Jupiter and Venus near by. I love it when the plants start lining up (in ever sense of that phrase).
I have a friend who moved to town coming for dinner later today and must get to getting some house things and food things done. Wishing your families a good Father's Day for those of you who celebrate, as well as a happy first day of summer.
-
well I'm off to Tahoe this morning. Have to finish packing. I'll post some pics when the reception allows.
Everybody stay safe and sane this Father's Day.
Chevy, sorry about your "other" daughter. Hope it's nothing. My friend who is triple negative just got results that it hasn't spread so she scheduled for a bmx on Thursday. Too young for this crap. We're all to young for this crap.
Take care
-
Happy Summer solstice friends.

-
Blessed be.
-
This is Rosie!!!!!!! She brought over Father's Day Dinner for us! Salmon, Lobster, with all the goodies.... Wow! Her real name was Vothi Twyet Hong.. Have known her for over 35 years.... She and Janie met each other, and have been "Sisters" ever since.
-
Wow! Chevy, that's a real friend. Nice dinner! And so sweet.
-
Cheesecake looks yummy!!!!'
-
sas, just got back home...don't think I will ever catch up...you guys have been busy...and not all with fun stuff....geeeezzzzzzz.....hope everyone is feeling better....I will try to catch up...or maybe someone could give me a bottom line account of all injures and ailments......I'm going to have a glass of wine now and toaston everyone's healing

-
Chevy- that was some kind of dinner! wow! Looks yummy and I bet it was too. I hope Rosie's biopsy is just nothing and she lives to be old old old and happy. That generation has been through enough. I laughed so hard about your DH hearing a flea fart in wind storm! What a Hoot! My Dh has sonic hearing too! The rest of us... not so much. I take my hearing aides out and it's lovely... everything gets turned down to nearly nothing.. ahhh. We headed up to Portlandia for lunch with DD and her love interest this afternoon.. tall fellow from Montana. Nice and friendy. It must be my generation but I simply can't get used to tattoos. sigh.. I'm an old fart I guess. I had to admit I liked him, not the tattoos. We walked around the city and I kept up with the family, but just barely. My one leg is painful in so many spots that it's just a relief to lay flat and not move. Gorgeous weather this weekend. It's supposed to be 101 by next Saturday. Yikes. Hope ya'll had a great weekend.
-
When DS and DIL got married, they got matching tattoos. They were from an aboriginal painting I bought in Canada showing outlines of 2 birds intersecting. They had the same picture on their wedding program. They will never be able to discourage their kids from getting inked.
-
Chevy- what a feast. Was it good? Prayers for Rosie and that she does not have anything to worry about. I know you will be there to support her no matter what. She is a lovely lady.
-

Good Morning.......CHEVY, where are you ?
I am still getting settled, kinda slowed down on unpacking. We got what we need in place.
-
Hol- I am a big yogi and think that must be the morning coffee asana? LOL! Glad you are setting settled in.....
-
Yes.... I've been busy painting our fence! And going to Walmart, and getting more paint.... cream color to paint our house! I have brushes, rollers, AND a paint sprayer! Ass soon as I finish all this fence, I'll take pictures.... Then start on the house!
I LOVE that picture.... I can do that..... just so you know.
-
yes, of course you can. Photo PLEASE
-
Chevy LOL, I can do that too! As long as I don't get near a 2 inch step. Painting the house? At your ADVANCED age? WHY? Should I send some of my staff over? Beautiful picture of Rosie
Sweet that she brought dinner. Very nice that you are able to go with her for her bx. Blessing really.High Ho One----hope it's fun
Once the basics are done it's nice and easy---do it when you want, if you don't , you don't. Love that stage. In the 70's we made 4 moves in 5 1/2 years. Learned fairly quick make sure the bathrooms and kitchen are done first First priority was the TP. I still have boxes never unpacked from the move in 1992. Blistering heat here, how they survived in Florida pre air-conditioning and bug control.
-
Not sure if I posted these before. Jeannette glass Jersey Swirl Lemonade/ Sangria set. Got picture and 6 glasses for 40$--Laurel Farms(great site) Has glasses @ 70$ and picture @ 40$. The texture of all the cuts is very fun holding the glass.

Anyone with a Sangria recipe, it would be appreciated

Well, I got another call today from a credit card company with something trying to apply for credit with my info. The first one happened a couple weeks ago right around this time before I went on my biz trip. I immediately put a fraud alert with the three credit agencies the same day and passwords on my bank accounts. Today I went to the credit union and was asked for a password and went "oh crap" but then remembered it!
Anyways, got another call today from Discover whom received an application and with the fraud alert, they called me so I could say "not me."
It is going to be a wicked 103 here today so when I am done with my business work, I am going to the movies and then music class. Trying to stay cool!
-
Jazzy, How did they steal your info? I know you told us, and we had a big discussion. But I forget.................. I have fraud alerts until July. I have it on my calendar to do a freeze for August 1st. -
Well, I'm too busy right now.... Later on maybe....
Oh wait..... I found one taken yesterday.......

-
Wow!! You look great on that pole Ms.CHEVY! On our way home from Yellowstone and got stuck in standstill traffic near Reno, Nevada in 90+degree heat for 1&1/2 hours! This was what caused the jam

I don't believe the driver was hurt according to traffic report...thank God!!
-
Need to use restroom now and toilet seems so far away. Hope we find one soon

-
Loveroflife- holy crap, how could anyone survive that? Please be safe. Men have it easier when it comes to pee-ing in certain situations.
Someone said it is 100 plus satan degrees here. I believe that!
-
This pooch may have the right idea. I'd need shade

-
Wow, that's AWful Loverly! Don't you just hate to see the left-overs of something like that?
It's only 78 right here now! That's about perfect..... Be CAREful Loverly....
Yes Jazzy, men DO have it more convenient... Ha! I told DH I am NOT pulling over for you to get out.... So from then on, we carry a plasic one of those things, under the seat..... Just in case..... They must have a bladder the size of a dime!
-
as promised, my view from my seat in the sewing room.

It's really that blue here. By the lake, it's 78 here

-
78 sounds wonderful. Supposed to rain about midnight. We'll see. Won't help.
-
