Rose, how did you sneak above me...back door just like HI1?? Man, I need to learn how to type faster. It is like texting. If you don't get your message in fast enough, you have to re-do everything. Sometimes I have to go back to my post and edit because of that. Boy, what do you do with your situation? Choose quality of life or weather the terrible side effects of drugs with no guarantee. SIGH. With my first pathology report it came back as DCIS. Upon the request of another oncologist( we know him personally) to exam different area of the tissue sample, they found microinvasion; but, because it is in a small area no chemo or radiation is warranted. I am ER/PR- so can't take SERMs like Tamoxifen. Herceptin only gives you one year of protection( while you are on it) per another oncologist. That leaves me no insurance for recurrence. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful I don't have to do chemo or take any meds, but just the thought of not being protected from possible rogue cells that wasmissed. I have been having bone pain on and off the last few weeks possibly due to changes in the weather, but boy you know that thought in the back of your head sometimes doesn't give you peace. Yes, that is another thing that cancer robs you of....peace.

No nice garden near Sacramento that I know of. I heard about the one in San Francisco and I have been to the one near San Jose.

My girls are 16 and 12...teenagers already!!!!!

Morning girls! So now SEE? Spookie is going to wake up any day now, and comment on me just posting a link! She will infer that I am sluffing off, and ridiculousness stuff like THAT!

But you must note, that SHE doesn't even stop by when she CAN! If I had a glass of water, I could go over there and pour it on her head and get that lazy bones OUT of bed! At least I'm HERE!

Good morning friends- I was thinking about Cami yesterday and wondering if anyone has heard from her in awhile? Maybe on other threads?

Cami, I hope you are doing okay.

Hi gals.... Morning Spookie.... I mean good-afternoon almost...Ha!

Yes, Cammi posts on the drinking thread... appropriately enough, and she sounds okay! Sometimes I see her on FB, or when I email her and raise 3 kinds of hedoubleL, and then she sends a link or something back.... She has a lot on her plate.... er, phone, and I think she is still fighting with that....

I'll track her down pretty soon!

Chevy- thanks for the updates on Cami. Glad she is around and it cracks me up she is on the Drinking Thread.

Patty- I heard from Blondie late last week and she was okay then. We trade PM's sometimes. I have not seen anything from her since, but hope she is doing okay. I like to know how some of my long time friends here (Blondie, Cami and Teka being part of that tribe) are doing. I see Teka around various threads. We both have a love of gardening.

My asthma has been bothering me off and on for a week or so and yesterday was not a good day. After some inhaler treatments, I am better but made an apt to see my PCP tomorrow. It may be time for some Advair. All this spring moisture (good for the land and my skin) is not so great for my asthma so I think I need some corrective action. Will let you all know what my doc says......

Oh I had too be bright eyed and bushy tailed. I got to meet a new doc today. He talks fast , doesn' t listen real well. BUT- he was right on top of a thorough diagnosis plan. He did a biopsy. Results in two weeks.

Lovely in your pocket tomorrow for surgery. Btw I'm not getting married. I love the guy,but Chevy described it well. It's good to leave it the way it is.

Mommy yay your moving along after your surgery.

Anyone wanting to chat call ;)

Ms. Chevy said she will be in my pocket tomorrow too. Could u keep an eye on her for me? The resident assisting with surgery usually is very young and cute!

    Biopsy??? Waiting game. Sigh

Oh??????? Young and cute? I might be too busy to watch over YOU.... Ha!

Yes! I LOVE mornings! Always have.... Is there such a thing as an "early morning" gene? I have that! Both my Grandparents, and Mom & Dad, AND my Brother are all the same! I love to watch the sun-rise.... that is of course when it is not snowing....

Oops Loverly, not Jazzy, I' 've reached the point the waiting doesn't mess with me anymore. The irony though is this is the doc I wanted to go to last fall and Jan. But he's strictly referral. Total three docs didn' t know what to do--one GU and two gyn. The last gyn doc was willing to make the referral when she didn't know what to do. So, when this one today knew what he was looking at, and had a thorough dx plan within about twenty minutes, which will be based on pathology results, I was tickled. Tickled. Happy ;) It's analogous to finding bigwig thyroid doc.

Chevy, when I was young and the cutie residents were tantalizing. It was a shock one day to realize I could be their older sister, then a few more years I was treating them like sons............

Lovely, still on kindle..... hp should be back in a few days. Hope so, this sucks lol.

    Off to help dbf...bank. :)

Love- here is hoping you end up with a McDreamy or McSteamy during your procedure. I care most about competent surgeons, but if they are cute, that is fine too.

Competent tops my list. I remember the young East Indian Pediatric Surgeon who did my DD1's lap biopsy.. all I could think of was he looked like a soccer star all easy going, handsome and fit, old enough to be a professor how??? My DD1 is a very good judge of character and she loved him. I liked that he was exceptionally good with a disabled child, no ego - all about making the kid comfy and relaxed. Everything went great.. except I felt very old.

Lovlife- it will go well; we will it so! Somebody will keep Chevy from falling out of your pocket and behaving herself. Glad Sassy that you found someone to have confidence in and has a plan. May the road ahead be smooth for you all.

I had someone email me that thing about aspargus curing cancer... sigh. I can't believe it. I remember reading the posts on thread "OMG they found a cure for stupid!" I laughed my tail off the first part of that thread... so funny. I don't know what to make for dinner... not aspergus.

Rose- well, those experts don't stop coming, do they? There is a thread here about Stupid things People Say. I have a list a mile long and still hear some doozies.

I may have shared this story before, so forgive me if I have in advance of sharing it again. When my mother had her stroke, her neurologist came in to talk to us the next day and he looked like a movie star. Both my sister and I just dropped our jaws when he came in the room and talked about him later too. My mother, who was particular to handsome men, was a bit agitated and more focused on us than him. So she missed the whole thing. We told her later she had a handsome doctor, because well, that was just really important to her.

I work a lot in hospitals a lot with my consulting work. Most doctors are not good looking, but I am not hiring them to be a model, but to fix me.

Oh, but it's okay if they can "fix" you too... Ha! I remember one Doctor came in to see DH when he was laying there in Emergency, and Sheri & Janie saw him, and nearly fell on the floor!

Sheri said ... "I think I feel a head-ache coming on."... I just watched those two.... as they tried to act normal.... Ha!

    Yes. George was in ER

Blondie, good to see you ! Hope you are eating well, and are comfortable. Sorry the vision is being wacky.

Loveroflife, I will keep CHEVY under my big feet, in your pocket. That way I can peek around, keep a eye on the whole process. Those expanders sound uncomfortable. I had a power port, was very happy to get it removed, almost a year ago.

Rose, I do love asparagus. If it could cure us, lol, it should of prevented those of us that eat it regularly to be Cancer free..... Crazy ideas.... Wish it was that easy....

HOOTIE Patty P, thought of you today. Wish you were still feeling on top on the world, sorry to hear about your headaches. I get a kick out of you telling us you live vicariously through us. Not today.... I was a total klux....I put ear wax removal in my eye...OUCH...stupid, grabbed the little bottle, did not look. Then a few hours later, I bit my lip.

Hello to all you fine ladies, I am BUSY.....house is torn apart. Storage is filling up. Next few weeks will be a whirlwind....

    Has MammaRay checked in lately?

HiHo! You were the only one UP! It's like you were talking to yourself.... Like I am NOW... Ha!

So you used ear drops in your EYES? Do you know some of that stuff has peroxide in it? Well you probably do NOW, right? So see, this is what you do.... Like I just did for my poor little Husband, who cannot see much without his reading glasses on, much LESS at night...

You get those labels... That stick on envelopes... And with a black magic marker, you write on there WHAT it really is, stick it on the bottle, and then tape it on, for good measure... In YOUR case, write EYES.... or EARS.....!!! How can I stress this enough? Get your glasses on girl!

You two, need to turn a light on when you throw those pills down the hatch.... In OUR case, I wrote STOMACH on one... for Ranitidine... Then ALLERGY for Claritin.... DIAHRRHEA for Immodium AD.... And I left the ALEVE alone, because he KNOWS that one.

We HAVE night-lights on all over the house.... Like we are going to get up and fix a complete meal or something.... But older people, case in point, NEED little "helpers" along the way....

So good morning to Smarty, and Blondie! All the others are still sleeping, it looks like... Doesn't anybody get up early around here?

Man, it's so terrible about that Amtrak train wreck last night!!!!!!!!! Just makes you sick....
