Mags tent reminds me of Harry Potter

Oh yeah, getting more abnormal by the minute. Oh, to have a chiropractor in the cupboard.
I love the stupid comments thread. It'similar to Shreks thread.,but the gals are snarkier. Lot's of juicy comebacks. Except I read'em and can't remember them.
Great now my face is turning numb. GreAt to pretend being normal.

In the hotel room, OR BETTER BE!!!!!!!

I used to love camping, did lots of it my teens and 20s. But now I must have a bed. Rustic cabin okay, but need a mattress to sleep on!
-
I love camping. We did it with our kids and soon our grandkids. In Bend, OR we stayed at a state park and had a yurt. Cooking was outside, but it had actual beds inside and was really comfortable. Best of all, they had solar heated showers with enough hot water for the whole campground to take long showers. Can't beat that after wandering around the desert.
-
I remember these cabins we used to stay in... They only had beds, curtains, bedding, table & chairs and a coal stove. I learned how to bake a Prime Rib in that thing....! That was after I put my soaking wet flip-flops in the oven when it was heating the cabin up, and I forgot they were in there, and melted them! Hah! But we had so much fun without all the "modern" stuff....
We even brought our own dishes, pots and pans and everything we had to use to cook .... like sugar, coffee.... etc. We would make coffee in a big camp coffee pot.... boiled water with coffee grounds... on top of the coal stove.... My Grandma made coffee that way....Never had an electric coffee-maker....
No phones, only in the nearest town.... about 10 miles away. We would walk down to this creek, and lay in the sand, and pretend it was Acapulco, and eat our picnic and laugh the whole time!
There was bathroom, but it was in the same place as the shower house... And none of us would only walk down there, unless we REALLY had to go...
And listening to my BIL SNORE all night! I don't miss that at all.....
-
My mother's idea of camping was going to un upscale hotel and opening the windows! She was just like spookiesmom... "Mankind spent millions of years camping in caves and tents to survive and we have now evolved where there are structures with running water, food, heat etc.. I am not going backwards in time!" It must skip a generation because I like camping, but was never taken camping as a kid. The cabin is the perfect middle path... rustic with electric, and water and toliet. nice. We did lots of BLM campng when the kids were little, diapers and bring in your own water even! That's hard core, loved it saw some wild and lovely places.
-
camped last year....couldn't stop laughing in the morning, cause I couldn't figure out how to get out of the tent....crawl forward...back out....and then of course once you get out...now we have to stand. It was pretty funny. Body is not the same....beds are bette

So did you gals ever make a fire under an upside down tomato juice can? You cut the top off, and poke a hole in the side at the top... cut out a square around the top, and turn it upside down, and put sticks and paper under it, light a fire, and when it really gets going, put your hamburger patty on top and cook it?
Don't remember how look THAT took, but I leaned that in Camp Fire girls...
A coal/wood stove is a little better... just don't put rubber ANYthing in there to dry off... Ha! And listening to the coyotes howl at night when you had to sneak out back to tinkle in the woods? And hope to DOG that no-one else was out there?
-
Oh I forgot... Mike, Carol's Son wrote back and said they are maybe sending Carol home next FRIDAY!!! MAN, I never thought that would happen that SOON....
I wrote back, and asked if someone will be staying with her..... She still can only answer "yes or NO".... But can scoot around using her left foot from the wheel-chair...
Sass, I asked her if she could write something down, and she said "NO!!!!!!".... So either she can, or won't... but there is nothing wrong with her thinking. She knows what we are talking about... and nods her head, or laughs, or says NO...
I'm sure Mike and her team know what is best for her... And her family IS big enough to come around, and take turns caring for her.... There is also home nursing care, and rehab....
-
I think someone tried to hack BCO last night. Look at a couple three pages of the active topics. Bet the mods were frantic. Why would someone want to do that?
-
Went to my 6 month check-up with my BS yesterday. Everything is good and my LDex test was good. Won't see her again til Dec.
-
Oh Wow! I believe anything can happen anywhere... The Mods will take care of it....
-
I wouldn't click on any of those links either.... Guess I'll wait until tomorrow to post again....
-
LilBratTeka sent me this! Hah!

-
got your number!!!!!

Hi ladies- feeling more like March and a final blast of winter today than mid May in the desert! We have a cold front/wind that came in. Strange weather.
I went to the herb festival early this morning before the weather got bad and got some herbs and a few more plants for the gardens. They are inside until it warms up a bit, maybe after the weekend. Where did spring go?

-
Amazing technology!
-
where is everyone? Lol I must be lost here again
Hope all are well
Happy mothers day to all the mom here

I sure miss my mom.

Saw this picture and had to share with u all.

-
hey enerva, how you doing? When are we going to see you and your bike on the road?
Got my results today, all clear, so that's good. Doesn't explain the pain but that has improved a lot the last couple of days. Maybe it was a good thing to sit at my sisters and not do much. I'm back home. Got to meet Lover and had a nice lunch yesterday. Again, call if need a ride.
You guys have a nice Mother's Day. Blondie, have a nice day tomorrow. If your kids aren't there for you, we will be!
-
anybody brave enough for these? (Not me!) I was looking for flowers and owls and found these. Ouch!

-
smarty how are you? Rode my bike to work this week but traffic downtown Toronto was brutal.
I also want a tattoo
I want these

In the middle of my back right under my neck lol
Love horses wish I could marry a farm guy lol
-
love that. It would make a great tattoo. Nice and clean and wouldn't take very long and not too painful. I have 2 tattoos, once when I was 36 then a touch up at about 55. It's on my hip so only can be seen when I'm in a bathing suit
-
My Daughter Janie has this on her leg.... Has had it for 30 years.... Also little cat foot-prints on the side of her neck, and THEN a rose, or something on her chest.... She loves them.... but just not on this body.... Ha!
When she first got the Nymph on her leg, I said "Honey, can't you just carry a picture around with you instead of having them tatooed on yourSELF"?
-
lol love it but looks painful lol
-
Hadn't been to the movies in a while, so hubby and I went to see the new Avengers movie. Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Ms. Chevy, I got a good chuckle after reading about you forgetting your flip-flops in the stove. What a mess! Good thing you didn't cause a fire. I don't like going to the rest room at night either because of the fear of snakes.
Jazzy, nice choice of color.
Smaarty, again thank you for the kind offer. Enjoyed our chat over lunch. Hooray for the clear report!!!!
Enerva, love the horse pics including the drawing.
Mommy, my 16 yo daughter wants to see Avenger with my DH not me because I'm not much of anaction movie person...mostly drama and comedy.
Ms. Sass, I found the Odd Couple on YouTube finally. Will make time to watch it after surgery next week. I am trying to clean up the house and getting things in order b4 sx. It's my therapy for anxiety/OCD.
-
Loveroflife- I always has to get things ready so I will have what I need when I get home from any surgery or procedure. I hope it helps you to feel ready for this coming week. It will be good to be on the other side of this.
Today was all about pink flowers. I have all colors in my garden, but today's choices were pretty in pink!
It is very cold here and going down into the 30s tonight. Umm, old man winter, it is May 9th so you can go take a big summer nap now!
-
-
Wow!!! Beautiful pics of the owls. Angle and lighting are perfect. Thanks for sharing
-
Ms. Sass, hope you get your laptop back soon.
