Yay for all with good news! Diana, boo for the liver lesions. Still normal says a lot though. Musiclover, sounds like you are hanging out with Reggie (regression). He is a cool guy!
-
Diana - Celebrating the good with you (yay kidneys!) and hoping your new treatment plan fixes the less good news (boo liver!). I agree that "super normal" bloodwork is great news and an indication that your liver is perfectly happy, despite the little fiends. Keep us updated on your next treatment plan

Had my Muga scan last Thursday and passed once again....which is great because I am not NED

That's always a relief, isn't it Beatmon? Glad you had good results.

Partyoffive, I will be thinking of you tomorrow as well, praying for you to remain stable or even better NED. I'm feeling anxious today as well but have been keeping busy outdoors. Sending you all the positive thoughts, prayers and virtual hugs that I can.
Linda, MusicLover and redwolf, thanks so much for your prayers and best wishes.
Hugs to all, Annie

Hugs Diana sorry for the progression; glad the kidneys are better though. I hope your MO can line up a new treatment!
Thanks for the squirrel guys. Guess I'll be back when the next scan time comes....otherwise I'm on other threads.
-
Had CT scan this afternoon and seeing MO tomorrow...found a new lump on the scar line of the original lumpectomy so they're checking that nothing else has sprouted either...so over all of this!
best wishes and hugs everyone! x

After having 2 CT scans and a bone scan, today I am finally having a PET scan. We know I have a bone met in sternum. MO still trying to figure out pathology since biopsy showed different pathology from original DX. My question, do PET scans normally show more accurately where activity is? I'm scared to death they're going to tell me worse news after this PET scan. Thanks girls!

Hi ladies,
I am new to the site. Just had liver progression and put on taxol. My onc has scheduled a second liver biopsy for June 5th. It took me about a year to,agree to a second one- the first was a circus and I really was upset after. I am pretty stoic, but ugh! So now I have a month to fret about the impending date! Great!
Diana50, it seems you had/have decent experiences with biopsies so I am going to hope mine will be uneventfulaswell....then the wait for the results- another topic another day! Lol
I will be taking Ativan this time, I can assure you!
Wishing the best to all,
Maureen

good luck to. you modum, Ativan is my go to with each scan and when I had a bone biopsy. It has been a great tool for me.
North texas good luck with your scans. I love/hate pet scans because they provide such good information. I will be thinking of you and wishing you peace.

Annie and Patty good thoughts going out to you with hopes for positive results.
-
blondedoloris, Northtexas, & Modum - you're all in my prayers. Keep us posted.

Onc appt yesterday. Tumour markers still going up so I get to have another CT in 4-5 weeks. I just had one on the first of April.... (Lung had progressed a tiny bit last time- hope it's not getting worse)
Congrats all of you getting good news & thinking of those who are waiting for results.

Having a CTA tomorrow morning, Onco thinks the Faslodex is causing pulmonary embolisms (A rare (less than 1%), but serious side effect of fulvestrant is blood clots, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolus.) Also having another bone scan on Thursday, because he thinks I might have progression also.
*SIGH*
-
blondedoris, Northtexas and Modum, thinking of you and sending positive thoughts.
Kt1966, praying there is no progression for you at your next scan.
terric-c, best of luck tomorrow morning and Thursday. I'm praying there is no progression.
Hugs to all, Annie

Thanks to all- you are all in my thoughts and prayers for good results!

Thank you everyone! I'm still stable and the biggest lesion has shrunk...the new lump on the scar apparently has always been there but not palpable until now, and the MO didn't mention it being there before; she said there were a lot of smaller lumps there but they're not the ones to be concerned about. No growth in the lung mets either and no new ones anywhere else. So hugely relieved and staying on xeloda and vinorelbine.
Thoughts and hugs to everyone waiting x

good news blondedoris!
My CT-A is done, was told to go home and stay off my feet. He was trying really hard to not show anything in his face, so I couldn't read him.
He said they will have the results to my onco by 10:30am (EST).
Sitting here freaking out.
-
PET/CT scan tomorrow afternoon. Feeling nervous. Need to sink into a big comfy sofa with a glass of red wine and some dark chocolate covered almonds.
-
bosco19,
I like your prescan prep! Mine is one month- maybe I can start pre-prescan preparation now!!! Lol and best of luck, both for scan and results!
-
Weekly bloodwork - liver enzymes up again. Now almost 300. . Thank You, Lord, for carrying me.
- Penny
-
Not sure Modum if it was the pre scan prep but had the scan and results yesterday - and it was good.
I have mets showing in chest lymph nodes but they are shrinking and showing less uptake. Nothing in brain (hurrah) and my one bone lesion also improving. My wonderful onc said it was a great scan and was v pleased. He's reducing drug dosage (which he hopes will mean drugs will work for longer). Only bad news was v low Hb/platelets count so I am sitting waiting for a blood transfusion.
Wishing good results to others.
-
kt1966n & terri-c, Hoping for no progression for you.
blondedoris & Bosco19, Happy for your good news!
Penny - I'm praying too that liver enzymes improve.
-
Bosco...choc covered almonds are my go to for everything. Hope platelets are having lotsa babies! Yahoo for shrinking, Blonde. Terri...so hard playing the waiting game...praying for positive news. Penny...you know you have prayers unending. To all...hoping, praying.
-
blondedoris & Bosco19 - great news! Thanks be to God!
:-) Penny
