After chemo and radiation I took tamoxifen for five years and then arimidex for five years. I will finish the arimidex in a week. Its exciting on the one hand but I am also nervous about having no cancer treatment. Anyone else been there?

    I'm not there yet, just finished five years of tamox and been on arimidex a month.  Best wishes!!

    I did 5 years of Arimidex. It was scary to be done, but also exciting. I did fine on it, so was surprised that I felt really better once I was off awhile....maybe it was a mental thing, but it was almost a lifting of my energy and mood. Now, it would take some pretty strong evidence for me to go back on! First, congratulate yourself for completing all the recommended treatments, and then celebrate your freedom. Enjoy!!!
