Low WBC's 4 1/2 years after treatment/on Tamoxifen

Options

Hi there!  I was wondering if anyone else had a lower WBC count that continued after treatment.  During treatment it was very low but of course the Neulasta shot took care of that and then some.  However, I have noticed on my blood work that my WBC's stay at 4 which is the very low end of normal and I am almost 5 years out from diagnisis.  I don't see my oncologist for a while and I have heard that Tamoxifen can effect your WBC level.  Anyone else experience this?  Thanks so much!  Emily

Do you know what your WBC usually was prior to treatment?  Is it possible that you tend to be on the low end for WBC normally?  Do you get sick with opportunistic infections often, and did you prior to diagnosis?  I am asking because many of us don't know what we tended to be prior to diagnosis because we were not checked often.  I tend to have low RBC and hemoglobin, and knew this before diagnosis due to blood donations, but otherwise would have had no idea about it.

I also have low wbc since treatment ended. My scores hover just below normal. I feel well and my MO is not worried, but it is very disconcerting. My counts were always normal before bc.

Thanks for your responses!  I do not know what I normally was before treatment.   I have heard that Tamoxifen can cause this and I do not get sick often at all so I guess that is a good sign!  I also read where I could be low in B12 so I am going to ask my PCP to test my B12 levels.  May need some injections.  Thanks so much!
