    Lisa how is the arm?

Wet day here we are pleased about the rain but sad the storm has caused extreme damages further north of NZ. it is now heading for the East Coast where it should hit about midday.

Real bad pain in back today so now have to see what can be done about it.

It is time I got up.

Here's our Anna, age 19 months.  Copy/paste job, so I didn't know how to make it smaller.  Her world's going to be rocked in about 3 weeks when baby brother arrives!  Love the overalls.

Jeff Thornton's photo.Lisa, I hope the surgeon's the best there is and that all goes well for you!  That was a heck of a thing to happen and I'm so sorry.

SoCalLisa, I hope you are feeling no pain, I bet you are staying away from writing here, I do hope you are alright, and can peck with one hand soon and let us know.

Wilsie, i am thinking of you, and praying for you too. I hope they are taking very good care of you while you are doing the adriamycin, and i do hope it blasts you back to a good semblance of health... I am going to try and keep you in mind today.

Hope everyone else is okay too.

Love it Lisa. Autumn is coming in our part of the world.

One of our strange birds a Takahe. They are actually quite large and they are real clowns. They were thought to be extinct but a few were discovered some years ago and through a breeding programme there are now quite a number but they are still endangered.

oh lisa, are you calling us "wild women"?

I've been off traveling and having some fun before coming home to a skin biopsy on my leg which came back B9!!!!!!! But then got infected.

Aly, that looks like a character! looks like fun to watch. Here we have Heath Hens that they are trying to "bring back". I'm not even sure how "they" are doing it since I don't think any exist. My island has the reputation of where the last Heath Hen lived. Makes you wonder why they died?

Great shot of lovely tulips Lisa! Such a gorgeous flower!

Aly Autumn has arrived with a vengeance here..........I arrived back from my trip to Cairns to find the temperatures have really dropped. Today the top temperature has been 19 degrees Celcius and tonight is supposed to drop to single figures.........i'm just loving it!

Nancy, what a bugger that the biopsy area has gotten infected but yay!!! for the B9 results.....that really is great news and makes the infection so much less.

I'm still unpacking my suit cases and putting things away.........it's the down side of travel........lol......but I'm sure it won't stop me from doing more of it. France is next on my list for this year, tickets are booked and paid for as well as accommodation and transport while we are in France. Now we just have to sit back and wait until September rolls along..........roll on Spring!!!

    Have a good day all!

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Oh Wils, I'm really saddened to hear that all is not that good with you although I'm happy to hear that you are at least home and getting some nutrition all be it liquid. No pain is a really good thing and I hope it stays that way for you for a long time yet and you never know, things may improve once you get the body going again now you are getting nutrition to build it up.

Hang in there lovely one we are all sending prayers your way for strength.

Well hell yes, Nancy, we ARE wild women!! Glad for the good results but sorry for the infection.  Hope it will clear up soon.

Wilsie, I wish you had better news,  but  I'm thankful that you have no pain and are getting some nutrition even  though in liquid form.   Is there any particular reason you're sleeping so much?  (Medication, etc.)  Perhaps your body simply needs rest to heal and your sleep needs will eventually decrease.  Like Chrissy said, we're sending prayers and good thoughts your way.

Lisa, you may be hunting and pecking but your pictures are still gorgeous.  I love the tulips!

Aly and Chrissy, here you are getting into fall and we're trying to get into spring, with the pollen and all the allergens in the air.  (Well, you probably have them in fall too, because we do.)  And Chrissy, I know you're as excited as you can be!  September ill be here sooner than you think, too.

DD is going to the ob/gyn weekly now and there aren't many weeks left to go.  Due date is April 8.  She's supposed to sing at a church on Palm Sunday and then at our church on Good Friday, but we shall see.  She really wants to do the Palm Sunday one because she'll be paid for that!

Hope everyone's having a good week.

Good to hear everyones updates. Willsie, I too am glad you are home and able to eat. Lisa your photos are something I look for every day and Aly and Chrissie the chance to see birds and animals native to the southern hemisphere is super.

We have black bears, bob cats, squirrwls, raccoons, and attack owls around here. My husband got hit in the back of the head by one while he was walking. They often follow him but now he wears a hat on his walks. He did get a good gash in his head from it though! They are called barred owls.

Cathy, aren't we all wild women?

MAcatack sorry about your infection. I think I used to heal faster myself. I am in week 4 of this cold and cough. It is petering out now but the cough hangs on.

    Hugs to all

Ginger, Look for their nest. I watched 2 mockingbirds persuade a large parking lot to go the long way round to get to their cars. Defending their nest. Maybe a hard hat would be even better than a regular hat.

lol, Lisa, I feel that way sometimes, too. Love the photo.

I hope your arm heals quickly.

I fell while on vacation and injured my left hand/ wrist. I actually fell into a hot tub. lol! I watched a little kid jump in so I thought it was a step but it was a seat and when I stepped in it was farther down than I thought. My DD was mortified. I laughed. What else can you do? So I get to start physical therapy this week.

My leg is much better! Thanks everyone!

I have found out that my blood sugar has been creeping up. So I am back on my strict diet for a while. See if I can get it back down with diet and exercise.

Oh Chrissy, what a great trip to look forward to.

wislie, hope your strength is coming back.

My Aunt was in the hospital last week. Scary! She had gotten a UTI which affected her heart, put it into Afib. She is home now, tho. Still a bit weak. We (my DD and I) took her lunch today. She insists on being on her own. Bless her heart. Keeps me busy, checking on her.

Our Easter has been shattered. DH's cousin is the first (and only so far) road fatality of the holidays. It was her mother who died two weeks ago. Yes I know she is a cousin once removed but the cousins were brought up together as my MIL and her SiL where both widowed early and DH and his siblings regard their cousins as older sisters. Jacque was so looking forward to a holiday as she had been Joyce's main care giver. The girls were in one car and the boys in the following vehicle. So her husband and son saw it happen.

We are also trying to move MiL's stuff out of her house. I can't believe how much there is. And it is being complicated by DH's brother who lives in Spain and wants to keep everything. It's not much to store he says. Grrrrr. He is so unrealistic.

My back unfortunately is a real problem. So many discs have collapsed and vertebrae not good. Never mind shouldn't complain too much.I have gone to bed and DH who is so tired trying to move stuff has gone out for a take away meal as neither of us have any energy.

    Lisa how is the arm?

and Mac hope to get to your part of the world in September.

    big hugs

Alyson, So sorry for the bad news. Please accept my condolences. That's just too much for one family in such a short time. Tell the brother in Spain to come get it if he wants it. I know what an overwhelming amount of stuff it must be.

Oh Aly no!! I'm so sorry to hear your sad news on top of everything else...........just so much to deal with in such a short time.

I agree with Wren, tell your BIL to come and get what he wants ASAP or it will be all gone! If they want to leave all the work to you, they can also leave the decisions about what happens to all the stuff as well!

Sending (((((((((hugs)))))))))) although I know they are small comfort right now.

Alyson, I'm so sorry to read of all this sadness. Hope things will be better soon.

Still on baby watch here.  Today was the due date but DD was 10 days late with her first, and then had to be induced.  Dr. said yesterday that if nothing's happened by next week  they'll set a date for inducing this one.

I saw something on the weather report tonight I hope never to experience.  A pollen storm!  It seems that wind gusting caused a visible thick swirling of pollen in the air, not unlike a tornado moves.  Oh how miserable that must be.

Alyson, I am sorry for your losses.

It is so difficult to be in charge of disassembling someones houshold. If you can afford it hire an estate sale service to help you. They know what to do with "stuff".

My husband and his 5 siblings have met to decide certain fiscal issues for my MIL who is in early dementia and has had to move in with one of the SIL. I have chosen to not be involved with the discussion or decision making. There is so much that can get difficult, I think the suggestion that you tell the son to come get what he wants, or perhaps he could hire an agent to take care of the estate. Your back is not fit for the work involved. Be good to yourself.

    Hugs Ginger

The baby's here, 7 lbs 12 oz of boy, Shaun Lewis!  Some of you already know since I posted it on FB.  He was born Sunday and with the exception of 1 night we've kept his 19 month old "'big" sister every night to help the new parents adjust.  Tonight they're all together and Grandpa and I are taking it easy!

Very quiet here this week.  Hope all of us are well.

Congrats Kathy!! Nothing like those bubby snuggles that come with new babies! Glad all went well with the delivery, even in this day and age it's a worry until they arrive safely.

    Lisa love the sailing ship!

Did my little stint as a guide for our old Railway Station today and stepped in through the front door and promptly ended up down on one knee as the opposite foot slipped out from under me!! Yup, it had been raining and the floor is polished wood and the grip on my shoes was a little worn..........perfect combination for what happened. I'm afraid I was not very lady like in my language and thank goodness there were no visitors there at the time! Needless to say, it is a little swollen and bruised tonight and I'm sure it will be even worse by morning......sigh.........oh well, at least there is nothing pressing for the weekend and I can just take it easy.

    Love n hugs all! Chrissy

My biggest fear Chrissy, going down with my butt in the air, and my undies exposed to all and sundry! Since I started doing some practice falls a while back....I only wear slacks/leggings when I leave home these days. I hope all is well tomorrow, if not try some 'Pain Away' on it; might take the worst of the sting out of it.

Thanks Sheila, it is ok to walk on thank goodness just tender to the touch. I live in jeans so there was no knickers on show.......lol........thank goodness. I'm usually oh so careful about where I put my feet when it has been raining but I guess this time it was off doing its own thing.

Take it easy! Love n hugs. Chrissy
