LVI present after chemotherapy
Did anybody still have LVI present after chemotherapy?

I had LVI after chemo and am pretty sure I have seen many people on this forum have the same. I think it is quite common especially with Er Pr +ve cancers.

Very common. I did as well.

thanks for answering gals, I feel like freak. If it's still in the blood and lymph system, does it mean the chemo did not work or partially worked
-
I think I read somewhere that complete response rates for your type of cancer is only like 20%. You are definitely not a freak. Did you have any nodes that showed that they were previously positive but only had dead cancer at the end? That was the big boost for me - that the chemo killed more nodes than it left positive.
How did your tumor respond?
Ask your oncologist about clinical trials for more chemo after incomplete response. I'm currently in one. The trials aren't hardcore chemo either - there was also a Halaven trial I was considering, which is chemo-lite (I ended up in the TDM1 trial instead).

Dancing, Badat is right, it is rare to get what is called a "complete pathological response" (cPR) to chemo. If everyone got a cPR from chemo, chemo would be a cure or something close to it. Not getting a cPR does not mean that the chemo didn't work. It does mean that it did not work 100%. The point of hormonal treatment is to keep any remaining cancer cells in check.

thank you ladies. I had 2 surgeries...lumpectomy which left me with multiple pos margins and then after chemo and BMX I just had a teeny bit found so it seems to have shrunk whatever was left after the first surgery. No idea about the nodes....no PET scan and CTscan showed nothing but I don't think it shows nodes anyway.
When I look at all the trials, it seems u need to have no chemo done in order to get into a trial.
Thank u for giving me some calmness

How many of us including myself did not have any scans for LVI after chemo? I had no PET or MRI after treatment not that it would have showed anything anyhow. My pre-surgery PET & MRI didn't show any positive nodes !! Shelly

I only had breast MRI before surgery, no scans or tests of any sort after.
