Good Morning Hermits!
-
Mags- what a year for you. One like no other. No one understands what we go through with this, except for those that go through it too Thank god for BCO and sister here to talk to.
So glad you are finishing. I will look for the Snoopy for you.....
-
For you Mags. I think you will like this!
-
Mags - You are a victor. So amazing that you made it through (well, technically Monday?)... if you read back through your early posts regarding radiation, you will smile and know how strong you are. Prayers of thanksgiving. {{{hugs}}} - just virtual cause anything else would hurt... Prayers for Healing.
Teka, I laughed - Thanks!
Jazzy, Love Pharrell Williams' "Happy" song - good choice
-
-
Teka- so happy to be to this weekend. SPRING FORWARD my hermit friends! Then we can complain about our sleep changes this next week!
-
Jazzy, heard anything from duckyb1 and FireKracker?
-
Are you sure its clock changing time????? Its normally last SAturday night in March................
I am struggling big time, feel like cancer has stolen so much from me and now been advised to apply for disability (I am not even 60 yet!) adn just feeling really really low..........avoided posting here, tired of feeling tired and tired of hurting all the time thanks to radiotherapy.............now research shows the radiotherapy increases the chances of mets......soooo angry with myself for accepting radiotherapy...............sorry, i do think and care about you all but really in low place energy wise...all round
-
Teka- no, not from either. Dwill seems gone too. I have not seen them on any threads and hope everyone is doing okay. Say hi folks if you are out there lurking!
Lily- I am sorry you have received this news. Maybe it will help you for awhile until you get stronger you can find something PT? Look at our Cami, she works PT. But I know everyone's opportunities may be different.
You sounded so good after you moved into your new place, I am sorry things are down for you again. Hugs sister.

Ducky posted yesterday on STFU

Bippy- are you out there still? Are you back to work?
-
Mags - you have proved yourself to be one tough cookie..........hope you are celebrating tomorrow..xxx
-
Hope everyone had a good day and wishing everyone a good week.
Attached is a photo of a close up of my blooming gopher plant.

Lovely Photo!!

May I please join the club? On an introvert scale 1 to 10 I showed as 10 - it was some personality test I once took at local college.
I love sitting at home, don't like going out much. I don't even like talking on the phone, I prefer communicating at my own pace, via email, text, etc.
BB
-
BB- welcome! Of course you can join our thread. We have lots of hermits here and share as we like to. It is a slower moving thread, so I think you should enjoy the pace and share with us whatever you would like to.
It looks like you may be in treatment right now, so do let us know how we can support you? We have some who have completed treatment recently, some of us who did awhile ago (2 years out for me), and so many of us have been down the pike and around the bend on this stuff. We will help you as we can.
We hope you like it here with us!
-
Thank you, Jazzygirl. I'll be popping in to read and to ask questions maybe.
Yes, I am in treatment, started chemo a few days ago and I'm still mostly scared
-
BB- it is very scary when you are newly diagnosed and just into treatment. I had to work hard to let go and trust the process and the doctors who do get you through this. I did not have chemo, but know other on this thread have and may be able to help with any questions specific to that. I will help you however I can.
-
BB, Welcome!
*Good Morning*
-
BB, welcome! I did have chemo, you can see in my sig what all I had, and today is my last rad. No bell to ring, but DH is taking me, and we are going out to dinner tonight with one of his colleagues. It has been a long journey, and it's not over yet, but I have survived, and you will too.
-
Mags- Enjoy your dinner tonight. Good to celebrate the milestone of being done with rads, even if over a biz dinner. Whoot whoot!
-
Magdalene51 - congrats on the last rads. Great milestone, enjoy your celebratory dinner!

Wow and to think I have been thinking that I am the only one who has holed up in my house and decided that watching life go by outside my window isn't all so bad. Well really, it's all I have energy for. I suppose that I should have reached out a lot sooner, but was being too self-absorbed to do that. The surgeon said that I had maybe 25 months of live ( 10 months ago) and I just believed him, but after reading a few stories of other women, I realize that I might be able to live with this diagnosis for lot longer than the doc's are saying. Unless my diagnosis is different. It does get pretty lonely sometimes. I also get a little jealous of other people with " normal" lives. My husband is taking classes to change his type of job after I am gone. Should this make me feel bad???
