hi! I'm a bit freaked out, I had a bi-lat mas in Oct 2008, my last bloodwork 4 months ago was great my last MRI in March 2014 was clear, on Thurs AM I felt a pea sized hard lump just under my reconstructed nipple. This would be in my non cancer breast which I had removed also it literally appeared over night I'm due for my annual MRI in March, could cancer grow this fast? My gut is telling me no but needed some feedback. Thank you!

I had a mammogram in Feb. 2013 and 10 months later found a 1 1/2" x 2" lump. That's how fast it grew in 10 months. I am now Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Had a lumpectomy Tues. 2/17, waiting on test results from Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy. Call your doctor!

    Dear Fairy53

What you describe may be a small cyst that are not uncommon post surgery or years later as the tissue has been considerably disturbed. That is not to say that you shouldn't have it looked at by your Doctor. Your MRI will give info, but if you see your doctor before that as they may order a biopsy at the same time (depending upon facilities there). This may decrease waiting time for results. Sometimes the biopsy just pops it, and nothing is left.

We hope that it is something simple like that and you can relax again.

    All the best,

    The Mods
