Mags I'm sorry you're struggling with rads and your shoulder. I hope the last treatments go fast and they give you some good pain meds.
Daisy my oldest is a sophomore in high school, so I get 2 more years with him. I want him to live at home while he's in college to save money and admittedly because I can't imagine not seeing his face every day. My little one is 7 and growing up way too fast.
I get so mad at the cancer disrupting my life, I feel like I lost the last year with all the surgeries and treatments and many months to go yet. I know that discouraging feeling, like it will never end, but it will and life will go on.
Hang in there gals. I'm thankful I can check in here and not feel so alone in all this.

This came out of my favorites, i will go back n read tomorrow. .miss u guys
-
Enjoying my hot cup of coffee and praying that I see some melting today. Supposed to see 40s.
-
Maiden- we like to hear from you and know how you are doing. You are a busy mom and know it will not be easy when your son goes off to college. I think back on the year of diagnosis and the year I finished treatment and feel everything went on hold and I missed much too. With time you introduce everything back. It just takes awhile to find your way to a new normal.
Blondie- good to hear from you here as well as other places. Glad we are back on the favs list!
Mommy-wow, the 40s is a real heat wave. Glad that bitter cold has gone.
-
I saw this on my FB feed today and thought of you, Mags. I think that it speaks to all of us dealing with treatment or the aftermath... We are strong and courageous.
-
Nice Daisy.
-
It was very nice to see warmer temps today.
-
Bippy and Mags,
My severe radiation burn, up under (L) BC breast, started after the last radiation treatment with 31 days of misery.
RO gave a prescription for Silvadene Cream!
I'll be reclining while watching the Academy Awards this evening!
-
Teka- I wonder if GC and new bride will be there?
It is not on here yet, so don't spill the beans......
Wishing all my friends here in treatment or recovering from any of this glorious ride a good week.

Blondie,
Easy to lose a thread with so many members posting on the same threads.
-
Jazzy, lovely photo!
I haven't seen George and Amal so far.
-
Teka- me either. I think he was at the Golden Globes because they did a tribute to him. He has no big movies in this year's oscars. Off making a new one no doubt.
Loved Lady Gaga's performance of the songs from Sound of Music. Really outstanding.
-
Hi Teka and Jazzgirl, and all the others here.
Been a long couple of week and the cancer dr

week but with my God and service girl life is good, my asthma
don't help. My prayer and thought are with all of You and my
You all feel peacefulness and know You are special.
-
blondie!!!! Glad to see you again.
Daisy, Teka, Jazzy and everyone, today is my LAST RAD. It does suck and my little arm is even uglier now. But, my best friend is here, our weather is nice, and we have wine!
I also have pain pills now but am not using them much, only at night. It makes it better though, knowing I have them.
Mags, I am so with you in spirit. I am over all this chit, the endless doctor visits, the RO who is THRILLED with my horror of an armpit, all of it.
-
Been a busy morning here. Got house work for the day caught up and now its goof off time!
-
Bippy- good luck with the last day of rads. Doing the happy dance for you today that this is now coming to a close.
So glad your friend is there too. Enjoy your time together.
Mags- good luck as you go into the new week. I know your spirits are down. Hugs sister, this treatment is almost over for you too.....
Mommy- goofing off sounds good to me!
I was supposed to go up to Santa Fe today for lunch with a friend (a play day), but we have a winter storm here that is moving out by noon, and another one that is coming in later. So no reason to be on the road today if not needed. They said with the wind chill and artic air, Santa Fe feels like -8 today and who wants to go into that? We are going to reschedule to do something next week instead. So now I have the day to myself and know things I want to get done. Next four days are super busy with biz meetings and a training class (tomorrow).
Hope everyone is having a good start to the week.
-
Waiting for my ride to rads. Hubby's working from home but went out and got these
-
Oh nice Mags. What a thoughtful thing to do! Your DH gets a in my book!
-
Very nice!
-
He does indeed.
My driver today came in his 4 wheel drive jeep. It's been snowing all day. Just as he pulled up I saw a voice mail from the cancer center – I hadn't heard it ring. I listened to the first few words – from a tech, wondering if I was coming in. Didn't listen to the rest, but should have. They were having machine trouble. Calling to see if I could come in later. By the time we got there, they had decided it wasn't going to be fixed today. So we drove home – in this:
I officially have the best driver possible.
-
Indeed!
-
Mags- sorry you were not able to do the treatment today but glad you are home safely. That drive looked a bit scary.
-
Cami- this is for you and Joey. You will love this young man's horn playing. Not Joey's instrument, but just fantastic to watch!
-
Interesting news in the local paper. There is a day long breast cancer symposium here in the city next month featuring a luncheon with Joan Lunden as the speaker. I know she has been in heavy duty chemo treatment, so I am surprised to see her on the speaking circuit.
