sorry you guys had a hard time in Vday. We don't do anything. He went golfing and I helped GD sew. Worked for me.
I'm seeing a friend's friend who will get her implants in March. I sent her pics and if she wants, she gets to feel me up! She's thinking saline, I have silicone. I told her about Whippetmom but don't know if she's on the forum.
You guys have a good week

For mommy2
-
amen, Smaarty!
-
The heart cloud was lovely. It got up to 60 degrees today - in February? Weird. I'll take it but weird. Crocus are up, Camillias all in full bloom.
-
Thanks everyone for the wonderful caring notes and hearts,
Sending positive thoughts for mommy 2 and other that need
alittle help. Thank You all for being so caring, L&H& Footprints
-
Footsprint- Hugs your way too. How's your dog? Your mask a better fit? Sleeping better?
I just wanted to ask if anyone has ever put together a murphy bed that's been disassembled? I was looking at one on Craigs list, but I am afraid of messing it up. I have never put one together and don't know anybody who has. My college kid could use one. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Pm me or shoot a message if it's doable or not.
-
Rose, have you googled how to assemble a Murphy bed?
-
Sure but they are all different and this has to come a part in 6 pieces to be able to get it up the elevator. Since it was installed, I doubt the installers left instructions on disassembly and reassembly. It's expensive and I guess I am afraid of screwing it up. so I wanted to ask anybody if they have done it. I mean sometimes you get something all taken apart only to find out.. geez how does this go together again...?? I guess I could take pictures..
-
Faith my dog is better, My sleep is not good, My strength of
air is to strong and the new masks are less rubber around the mask
so at 11, 1, 3, etc it leaks and I tighten it. cheaper stuff more work.
Take care L&H&P footprints
-
Hootie hoo all. Lurking and wishing I could remember to respond to everyone. For now. ..hugs to all
-
Rosie.... just a thought, but is there a brand name on that thing anywhere? Maybe you could google a name, and maybe find the right picture, and find the same one? Or maybe call a place that sells them? Or even makes them?
Although this place is in Denver, maybe they could talk to you about what is possible, or not...
It SOUNDS like a good idea, but you might need help with THAT project!
-
Thinking about treating myself to something very soon.
-
Spookie, it's 5:30! Are you SICK? How come you aren't up yet?
It's just cold and snowy here... 28 degrees, and still snowing... we got about 6 inches since yesterday and overnight.... Darn weather! But it WILL be good for my gardens... just not for me... don't want to get out even ANOTHER day... Did you guys see I said DARN, instead of Dam? I'm trying to act more lady-like....
(Where IS that Cammi? Oh I KNOW she would have something to say about THAT one! I haven't seen nor heard from her ANYwhere! )
Boy, the only thing that keeps me out of Walmart is the WEATHER... Hah! But we really don't NEED anything.... I don't know how those people out East, can maneuver around with all their snow... and they can't GET anywhere!
-
Sass! did you MISS this? Ha!

-
M0mmyof2, did you decide what that treat will be?? Bath and Body Works is having a big Sale here, buy 3 get 3 free. But there is always a Sale someplace!! I think that is half the fun, finding the best deals. Happy hunting, I hope you find something wonderful!
-
New Week Good Morning!. Chevy yes, I saw that sassy thing. Fun. Sassy's a fun word. My maiden initials spelled SAD. Now that's no fun at all. Icky. DDAM-Hated those initials. Had a workmate one time. She had no middle initial. Her intial was BM. That's way worse than SAD. Names and initials can cause trouble. Those Murphy beds are fun too. Certainly not like the earlier beds@t22222Ta nice you are here. I deleted those post b/c I did LOL. Nothing fancier in an excuse than I Just did. Okay, in one I got way off on talking about my Dad. It was okay if someone needed a renal diet. Otherwise, just rambled on. That Ca++ supplement -Hazelnut liquer was way too strong. It's off the list.

Mommy have fun buying something. My sister's ex when they were married would take these pretty expensive hunting trips. She would plan for months. While he was gone, she'd remodel something and refer to it as her hunting trip. Her awful husband objected , but she still did it.
Have a wonderful week BBL

Sas - when I was married my ex would go camping all the time with his 2 sons that lived with us 24/7. That's another story but, he took them on vacation camping and I bought myself a new truck! And after he went shopping for new tools for his wood shop, I bought a horse. Then I got smart, and hired an attorney. He wouldn't stop shopping and spending money. LOL

Funny stories! My dad must have had a really good year, he bought himself an 18 foot boat, and a 59 Caddy to pull it. My mom bought herself a new dining room set and a mink!!!!! Last time anything like that ever happened. Wish I still had the Caddy
-
Spookismom, I bet, that Caddy would be fun! I bought a mink as my chemo present, just too tired to go out and wear it. But is is cold enough here, zero yesterday. Spring needs to get here soon.
-
Heh heh, yeah it was fun. I turned 16 while he still had it. Gawd that thing was huge!
Pulled the boat up to PortClinton, went perch fishing frequently.

Love the shopping stories. My favorite story was about when I worked in an executive job and was the only female in a male engineering group. They would give out some pretty hefty bonuses there sometimes, and one time one of my co-workers said he went out the following weekend and bought a used BMW for himself. Then he said, "now I am going shopping downstairs at the nice women's clothing store (we were adjacent to a mall) and get my wife something." Well, I had shopped in that store many times and although it was on the expensive side, nothing equal to the price of that car he bought.
So I asked him "so what are you going to buy your wife?" and he said a sweater. What I knew about his wife was that she was a stay a home mom raising three young sons and not working. And taking care of him when he traveled quite often with his work. I laughed and said "so you bought yourself and expensive sports car with your bonus and she gets a sweater? Wow, she is one lucky woman!" He just stared at me as I walked away.
Men have no problem spending money on themselves!
-
Well, we may be collectively on to something here. We now know this buying thing ranges far a wide. IMHO I think we should do it. All special days. B-day, Christmas. Mother's day, V-day, add what you will. We buy our own gift and give the DH & DBF a kiss and a thank you and perhaps even a thank you card. The thank you card could be devilish worded with multiple double entendre's.
Love the stories keep them coming

-
I remember my folks had a friend, and her name was Jean Hore..... I was just old enough to think she should probably CHANGE that last name!
And the Principle of our grade-school was named Ms. Queerie... All of us kids had a ball with that name.... what brats we were!
Spookie! What's this? You are getting yourself a Caddy? I mean REALLY? Can't hurt! You go girl!
-
Jazzy, did that idiot BMW guy still end up buying a sweater?
-
Hey ladies-
We are back home. What an emotional roller coaster.
I heard from Netti- she is doing ok cancer-wise, but having some other things happening in her life. She said hello.
Will try to catch up this week.
to you all!jeni

Thinking about buying a couple of plastic canvas projects to do. Been buying kits off and on of a village setting. I usually get at least a few kits a couple times a year. Its my guilty pleasure.
-
I saw one at JoAnn's that was a tote bag with kitties all over it.
-
I worked with a Gal who managed a bunch of Cardiologists who handed out lovely bonuses (not BMW sized type-normal). So one year we went shopping and got a really nice well made couch, 8x10 oriental rug and I forget what all. But at any rate we blew through her bonus in a weekend. It was so much fun to help her find things that matched the photos she was trying to copy.
When my DH was in consulting and the company did well they handed out bonuses. I would let him have a little and then squirrel everything away in college accounts for the kids. Poor guy. The practice paid off! My DH's weakness is electronics.. I remember our Apple computer died and shorted - burned. I went to work and during my lunch break called home- He had already gone a bought a new computer in the few hours I was at work! I couldn't even get mad. Wife gone - no one to say "no". Computer busted - EMERGENCY! Shopping in QUICK order!!
Chevy it's 66 degrees here and sunny... we are all walking around somewhat stunned.. this is not normal. Lovely, but not normal. I came back to edit this since I saw the news and we broke records! 66 degrees and the same for tomorrow. Warmer then Florida.. but so scary because our snow pack is 10%... no water this summer. ugh... stay warm everyone else.. I am so sorry!
