I had Lasik in 2001 (before b/c), and one issue you can have for a while after it is dry eye. I didn't have that particular s/e after Lasik but they did warn me it might be possible.

But, my eyes did have some dryness and latticing issues while I was on AIs. I don't know whether those issues were caused by the AIs or not, although they have gotten better since I've been off AIs for 18 months now. I would work closely with your ophthalmologist to make sure you're not having any eye s/e from the AIs before you consider adding Lasik to the mix. I'd make sure you have a VERY experienced Lasik surgeon - someone who has done at least 3,000 of them - so that they're very skilled with the surgery and will be on top of any complications that may arise.

On the good side, Lasik is truly a miracle surgery. I've worn glasses since I was 8 years old. I'd tried contacts but never could tolerate them. Since I had my Lasik surgery, I have 20/20 vision and love not wearing glasses for distance. I do have to wear reading glasses since I opted to correct both eyes for distance, but since my eyes are pretty much the same, I can get away with cheap drugstore readers and don't need prescription readers any more.

    Good luck!
