-
Mags,
Your coffee is for Me!
-
-
Hey Teka! You've been AWOL a bit! Missed ya!
-
I deleted My cup of coffee for Mags cup of coffee!
-
I continue to be busy busy with family and way overdue housework.
-
M0mmy, hope your recovery is going smoothly.
Teka and Mags, good to see you two. Enjoyed the pictures.
-
Housework? What's that?
Sally, thanks. My shoulder/rads issue has made me have to limit how much typing I do. Even the iPad puts a strain on it. 3 more weeks.
-
Mags, my iPad cursor doesn't go to the right spot when I try to reply on BCO. When I get it in the right area and get a message typed, it won't submit. Today I could not add a new event to my Yahoo calendar. Are you having any issues with your iPad. Thank goodness I have a desk top computer to use.
-
Hi!
Bippy, I found rads exhausting.
Onco, time for My weekly weighing.
(
PS is keeping MOmmyof2 on a short leash. ;o)
Pleased to read that Lily is feeling happy.
)
Sally, nice that Grandma and GD got to enjoy some shopping time for Great Grandma.
Foot/Faith and Blondie stay warm and cozy!!
Cami, sure that Joey is keeping You busy.
Jazzy, I wish I had Your gift of gab. Thank You!!
-
Yep, she is!
-
Hi hermits- hope everyone is doing well this week.
I am having a not so good week on social media between some weird stuff on Linked In and a personal attack today on FB. So I am going to stick around here more and less there. The world is a strange, if not outright angry place, sometimes.......
I have some apts today and also going to the gym!
Hoping everyone has a reasonable day, especially those in treatment.
-
Sally, I do have the issue with the iPad not showing the entry in the right place. I have found a couple of things that help that. Before I start typing, I hit "return" and that gives me a good starting place. If I try to correct something in my first line, it jumps the entry up under the edge of the box, so I just touch and pull down until it shows again.
It wasn't always this way, I started having the problem at some point in time when they changed something. I don't usually have problems with submitting, unless my wifi disconnects in the middle of the submission, which happens more often than you'd imagine.
-
Jazzy I cant imagine anyone being foolish enough to ever attack u---Let it bounce off, u'r way to good to say anything negative about you.
Mags that coffee looks so good and Teka there can never be enough coffee, u know that.
Wow Mags that shoulder of u'r is causing all kinds of crap--bad enough u have all the other problems, then that. I'm so sorry. No sooner did u call Teka she came. Good timing.
-
Cami- there were not people I know, so I am letting it go. I had some weirdo trying to make a love connection with me on Linked In (but I reported it and think it was a fake profile and he is gone now). Today, I posted something on an NPR post about the whole vaccination debate with the measles thing going on. And someone came out of nowhere and nailed me for that comment!
Like religion and politics, I am putting that hot topic in the out of bound bucket now!
One has to be careful on social media, I was just reminded of that again this week.
Teka is lurking- he he!
-
Jazzy,
SCORCHING TOPIC!!
-
Yikes!
-
Cami & Teka, I'm home from rads and sitting here with a big cup of coffee with peppermint mocha Coffeemate in it. Yummmm. My cousin found what must be the last bottle of the season, at least around here, so I'm enjoying while I can.
-
Mags- glad you are home from rads and enjoying some coffee with the flavored coffee mate. Three more weeks after Friday, counting down with you......
Took some things to the home consignment shop and she took about four things, less than I was hoping, but I have some ideas for the rest. I will tell you, I could end up bringing too much home from that place, it is a really cool store. Took myself out to lunch after, ran an errands to the health food store, and then a two hour work out at the gym. Now I am home and setting in and have work to do tonight for my biz tax prep and continuing to work on the house.
It has gotten very warm here all of a sudden, which is nice of course, but I see things starting to green up and popping out of the ground. Too soon! I was talking to some in the hot tub at the gym and people say their tulips are starting to come up and one guy said he sees buds on his rose bush. We have a winter thaw going on here, but this won't last and we will get another freeze/storm and that may damage things.
I know what you are thinking, shut up about the nice weather already, Jazzy!
-
foots, wishing you well. So sorry you are struggling.
I am on 14 of 25 rads tomorrow. It will be good to finish.
All of my hermets in the snow....stay warm and safe. My Maine pal arrives here in a few weeks, she will not want to go home. They keep getting hammered.
Bippy is movin slow,,givin in, not givin up. Resting when needed, sleeping alot, whatever I need. Never been a late riser till BC. Now, well....I stay warm and cozy in bed as long as I wish. It is lovely to have the kittahes snuggle up. Animals are so intuitive about us. They are so loving. I am enjoying it while I can.
Hoping to get back into gear workwise in early March. Thanks Jazzy for your experience. It means so much! Am working on getting in with the county or the state. Hmmmmmm....a government job! Well, why not.
-
Getting a bit of snow today. Only going to be a dusting to 2 inches. I can deal with that!
Princess is really growing up. she has lost all her baby fangs. Three of them that she lost are already growing into place. She was trying to nurse from my finger when the fourth one came out.
-
OK Jazzy u said it first--shut up about the nice weather, we're piled with feet of snow and cold wind, wel I don't go out much so I can't complain really. But as usual u are always busy.. so happy about that.
Mags that has to be the last of the peppermint so savor it as long as u can.
Bippy u are about 1/2 way thru and keep on doing what u'r doing, those darn things exhaust u, but u'r doing good. It will be over soon.
I hope everyone has a decent day and enjoy u'r WARM weather if that's where u live. No I'm not bitter, not at all.
-
Mommy- I am glad you have enjoyed your new kitten so much. They do get big fast. How old is she now? She sounds very cute still.
Cami- okay, no more weather reports from the Southwest for awhile! LOL! Yes, very busy and enjoying my break until I return to work again. I think next week, some things may start happening on that front.....
Bippy- a gov job is a good idea. Not as stressful, good benefits, and regular hours. You will be back to work before you know it. Like Cami says, half way there with the rads.
Mags- I hope your rads go okay today and you are home resting comfortably soon.
Teka- hi
Footprints- hope you are doing better girlfriend.
Onco- hi too
Monis and Maiden, where are you?
Wishing everyone else here a good day. More things to do on all fronts today.
-
She'll be 5 months on the 20th. Hard to believe that she's growing up so fast. It just seems like yesterday that she was a tiny ball of fur that we adopted.
-
-
Today will be 16 of 28 + 5 boosts. Cousin is my driver today, my son will be over this afternoon for an overnight and back to Florida tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow's rads in the morning as they are doing machine maintenance in the afternoon, so my Tuesday driver will take me. DH and DS both have meetings.
I'm having a great time with my drivers, they are the best. My Monday driver was having some blood pressure issues and couldn't get in to his doc, so his wife drove and he rode along. Turns out she retired from where DH works and she knows him. So we have a lot of mutual friends, from there and church. When all this is over, I'm taking all my drivers out to lunch.
DS's birthday is Sunday, so we picked up a nice Italian cream cake at the bakery and we're taking him out to eat. I've never gotten to celebrate his birthday before.
-
Mags- glad you have something nice to look forward to with your son. If I remember correctly, he was adopted by someone else and you two have more recently connected, yes? How nice you will celebrate a birthday with him for the first time ever. That is very special.
I like the idea of taking everyone out to lunch. I did things for my support system too after the help they gave me. They don't expect it, but certainly appreciated the gesture. It makes us feel good to give back too.
-
Yes, Jazzy, I placed him for adoption as an infant, and his adoptive mom died of cancer shortly after I told him my dx. It's been a rough year for him but we have good talks.
