INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

PP, had the dogears removed on Wednesday. Doing good, I took the bandages off yesterday, looking ok. About 3" long incision on each side. Now, as long as everything stays put, I'm done. I need to go post pics on the picture forum. Been almost 2 years, how time flys when you're having fun!
I have one cat who used to cuddle with me just before all this BC stuff started. She was about 5 months old. Then she wouldn't come any where near me. Now all of a sudden she's a lap kitty. Sits on my lap for several hours at a time, maybe she's sick. Weird cat!

just in case I forget, doing this now.

Dutchy we know it's Monday, but we are OCD. Memories are only an inch long. This keeps us from missing it. So today is your Unbirthday---------------okay where's the Mad Hatter -
Lol, thank you Sas.
-
well happy bday dutchy. We had these friends that the mom celebrated a birth week. Yep a whole week.
-
Once in awhile 4sewhat shows up. She celebrates a birth month
-
Did everyone go over to Warm & Fuzzies and get their laugh medicine for the day?
-
wow a birth month.
-
I do a week. Last birthday was the day I started this journey though so idk about this year.
I am the Dormouse.
-
I call it "birthday season". I start mine a few weeks before and it continues a few weeks after.
-
-
Birthmonth (with special attention during birthweek) are good expressions too
-
I have 2 friends, 1 male & 1 female, they celebrate for one month....Over the top, dinners, trips....both never had children. I think that might have something to do with it. My sis does not have kids. She does not celebrate over 1-2 days.
My sis, 2 years older, is having a MRI next week on her breasts. ( or one ? ) Had the mammo, ultra sound & now getting a MRI. She does not know much. I have told her the ? To ask, but she says its fine. I am kinda freaking out, cause she does not "get it" or grasp the big picture, but hopefully she will not need to "get it".
Surgery on my left shoulder ( which hurts more everyday ) is Thursday. I know I am whining, BUT, do you ever feel like if the surgeon comes out & says " it was worse than I thought", you will feel justified for even making the first appt. I know this is necessary, but no one in my social world has health issues. ( thank goodness for you all, my INSOMNIACS Family ) They are fit as a fiddle, I feel like a hypercondriac. Then my DH is a total train wreck. We are "that couple".
Sheesh, sorry for the rant....many of you are dealing with scarier shit!
Super Bowl Sunday, whose playing? ........just kidding.......I am making stuffed mushrooms, that's my contribution.
Had my hair cut, really short. It had finally grown out, but with no left arm, I could not style it, back to my chemo short, comb & go.
Hello to all....I will whine no more, for 1 week....lol....love you all....
-
Hey am here, still in rehab, going 2 another 1 tomorrow bc of insurance issues. Don't know how they know viral they took me by ambulance to the er did chest xray n told me from that then ct scan to make sure i didnt have a blood clot in my lung.
Am ok i guess have a cast, no weight baring for a couple more weeks. So pissed at my self, then pneumonia after that.
I will b ok a nice vacation on someone eles dime,lol..
Big hugs to all, thanks 4 u r prayers.
Patty hope u r better, sas,chevy,mags,hole,smarty,spookie, jazzy n all i forgot (sorry)

Hole, It's not whining when your shoulder hurts enough to even consider surgery, let alone set it up. I know it's going to be rough for a while; get all the help you can. I hope the end result is a comfortable shoulder that's able to do everything it's supposed to do.
Blondie, I hope the new place is as good or better than where you are now. I think not being able to be up and around contributes to developing pneumonia. You can't breathe as deeply sitting as standing.
-
Blondie good to hear from you...hoping you are healing, and your next stop is pleasant, & decent food.
-
Wren, thanks for the encouragement.
-
hi1, it that why you're still up? Hopefully this will take care of the problem. My Bil just had his shoulder done a couple of weeks ago. Doing good. Don't worry about whine, wel'll serve you cheese and crackers with it! Hope your sister turns out with good news.

Now I've gone and made myself hungry
-
Thanks, Smaarty! I'm hungry now too

-
Holeinone- I am sorry to hear about your sister and the MRI. I hope things are clear there, but we know they don't do those unless they suspect something with the other tests. I hope your surgery shoulder goes well this coming week too.
I hope your "fit as a fiddle" friends are supportive to you. I am in my mid-50s and have friends younger and older, some fit, some falling apart and everything in between. For the ones who have no health problems and could not deal with me during the worst of it, I just realize some day they will know. Because as we age, stuff happens and it will for them too. The lack of empathy sometimes is hard though.
Blondie- it sounds like you are about to move again girlfriend. I hope you settle in to the new place and it is as good if not better. I know you are upset about everything, but please don't beat yourself up over this. You are doing the best you can every day. Hugs sister.
-
-
smarty - that looks yummy indeed
2nd - hope you dozed off and are sleeping peacefully ( no cough )
Blondie - great to hear from you. Hoping the new place is like a vacation. Hang in there. Won't be long you'll be home. Have your dk's been able to come by recently ?
Hi1 - hope everything goes well for your sister. Are you all ready for shoulder surgery ? Do you have a lot of things still to get ready ? hoping some of your healthy friends will be around to help you.
SAS - hugs
Hootie hoo to all and to all a good night
