Patty- I hope too the tumor being frozen and removed takes away your pain. Rest well tonight.
-
I went in this morning and had the dogears removed. Done in the office with local. Other than getting numb it isn't too bad. Taking half pain pill for now. Seems to work ok. This is the end of the boobs story. Now everything is done! (I'll believe that when its been 6 months after). Back to sleeping on the couch for a couple night.
I can't remeber everything, but caught up on everyone. Be good and careful out there. Especially you guys on the east coast
-
So, does anyone want to hear some celebrity gossip?
-
-
This is GS#2 at bros track practice tonight. What's wrong with this picture?

-
Spookie.....Judging by the clothes hes wearing, it appears too cold for Flip-flops and barefeet.
On my way home from work today I saw someone hit by a car today. The runner was no more than 10 feet from me when she was hit. I can't stop shaking.
-
Patty, sounds promising...prayers your way for painfree healing....fingers crossed too
Hubby set up his back surgery for next month......one of us has to get in better shape...and I raised his hand for him....straighten, fuse, and be in less pain.....back to work in two weeks. The guy can hardly walk and he is in a ton of pain. Over the last 4 years he has tried everything but surgery. So here we go. Wish us luc
-
Dutch- that is a horrible thing to see. I have seen some bad car accidents, but never a biker or a runner hit.
I hope you can feel better. That would have me so upset too.
-
Spookie- you see all kinds of weird get ups here in the desert. It has been mild here lately, but a few weeks ago when it was cold, I saw several people in the store with shorts and flip flops (and usually a winter jacket on). Hello, it's winter!
GS #2 is a cute kid!
-
Oh Dutch, that's scarey! Feel better.
Yup, flip flops. Just a normal Floridakid on a winter night
-
Dutchie, so sorry you had to witness that. Try to forget if possible
Spookie, looks like flip flops don't match, otherwise normal. DD was teased for wearing them to a Patriots home game a year ago. She was freezing but always wears them. GS2 is a sweetie.
-
They are normal for here! And him.
-
now for the gossip: DBIL and DSIL live up in the hills of Malibu (they have money, we don't.) He was eyeing this property for years as it has one of the best views of the ocean in the area, lots of celebrities live in the area. He approached the owner back before 2000, asked him to contact DBIL when he decided to sell, which he did. When they bought the property, they gutted part of the interior, gorgeous property (almost 2 acres), beautiful inside as well (DBIL owns a construction company). Anyway, they've been trying to sell it as kids are grown and they've decided to split (DBIL has been living on the Gulf Coast since Hurricane Katrina). He called DH today to say house has been sold. Sold to Robin Thicke (apparently his soon to be ex lives nearby).
-
Chevyboy - I'm still trying to figure out how that car hit that angle. Even for Colorado that's extreme.
Dutch - what a horrible thing to witness. SO sorry you had to be there.
Spooks - loved seeing your thermometer. Enjoy it for us.
Stay warm, everyone.
-
2 nd time I have not idea who you are talking about ha ha ha I am so ignorant with celebrities names.
I am taking a pill tonight it's Wednesday and enough of the walking up at 3 I need to sleep till 5 am lol
Good night fell better everyone.
-
Robin Thicke sings Blurred Lines. Some brouhaha about performing with Miley Cyrus
-
Enerva- he is an American singer and the son of a well known actor from the 70s. This is his big song called Blurred Lines as noted above.
There is a similar video to this with these same girls where they are dancing nude. The wife left him.
Oh yeah, dancing with the Miley in provoctive ways-the death blow to that relationship.
-
oh lol that Miley citrus kid is nuts. Lol
-
not exactly wee hours where I am, but I wasn't sure where else to post this. (New, and only two weeks into my journey.). So today my supervisor, with my blessing, told the sales team and naturally the word has started to spread. I attended a dinner tonight where spouses and SO were invited. With the women that now know my status, I see genuine care and concern but I also see fear. I think I know what they are thinking. I am 43 but most people forget that and assume I am still in my 30s. I have always been incredibly healthy without even trying to be healthy. The first questions are how did I find out and how long have I known. When I explain how this all just started two weeks ago, I think that increases the fear. The next question is if I have family history. They seem to be thinking if it can happen to her, it can happen to me. I am her2+ and will start chemo first, this coming Monday in fact. That's goes against what most people know or think they know about breast cancer. Ten days ago I had not even heard of HER. I think I could given a darn good presentation on it to today.
-
hi and welcome sugarcake, I heard you I am turning 42 this year and I also look younger or at least I have been told lol my journey started at 38. I hope you will stay here.this is a busy tread but lovely ladies. Lots of advise and great humor. Also support when you need it.

Missing summer
-
welcome and sorry sugar cakes. Gonna be a tough 2 weeks. Hang in there and my prayers are with you. Please keep us updated...we will be nice at first, then chevy will start to tease you, and give you a nickname. She calls me sweet sue.....not sure I am all that sweet, but I will try to live up to the name. Are you married? Kids? If so how are the hanging in too.
Well ladies, if I stay up for 3 more hours, that means I have done an allnighter...should I try ?
Dutchie, so sorry you had to see that. Prob will be in you head for a bit. Get peaceful sleep tonight

-
No peaceful sleep has come yet. I have to be up early.
-
Patty Peppermint - I hope you are doing much better, and you get the results you so need. Sending love and hope your way!!
-
Welcome Sugar Cakes. Sorry you needed to find us, you are too young, not fair....
Dutchie, damn, that is trauma fueling, PTSD. I was witness, involved in a pile up a few years back. Total white out. Winter storm, snow 50 mile wind. The 15 year old in front of me drove over a 49 yo man. Traumatic Brain injury. Just devasting. No way to erase the memory or visual. My good friend tells me "think happy thoughts".
Just heartbreaking for them both. We were all driving at a snail pace, 5 miles an hour or so. He had gotten out of his rig to check on another couple that was hit.
Rose, not sure if I told you how sorry I am about your latest scans.... Stinkin Cancer....
I had pre op ( chest X-ray, ekg, blood work ) for my up coming shoulder repair ! Not happy about this, I had my right shoulder repaired 10 years ago. Very painful. Like most of us, I have reached my tolerance for pain. What do you do? Smile & hope it goes well. Elective surgery, I feel like Humpety Dumpy, only skinny. The nurse checking me in , gave me a do not eat sugar pep talk to keep the cancer away. She knew nothing about Breast cancer, had never heard of lobular. Smile, thanks for the tip. Arrrrgg.
Patti, did he freeze these externally or internally? Hope it relieves your pain. Or at least take it down several notches.
Night all.....

Welcome SugarCakes, We are all here to help you. I am triple negative, so I know more than I ever wanted to know for sure. There is a lot of info here, just ask. And if you haven't heard, avoid Dr. Google, a lot of the info is outdated, and simply wrong. Here you get the info in real time, with very real answers. No candy coated truth here, a great thing. I want to know what I am dealing with, and this is no time for surprises!
I have family in Lenoir, very beautiful and the Blue Ridge Mountains are enchanting! I hope you can enjoy the trails there for a very needed walk. Spring will be lovely. I live on Lake Erie, and I enjoy the water and the beach.
Let us know what you need - we have your back!
-
Holeinone-thanks. I suppose the progression is my own fault since I stopped taking the afinitor AMA. Dreadful SE. This doc suggested I go back to take afinitor again.. no way. So that leaves 2 other options, one doable one icky. Always something, choosing between the lesser of two miseries. Thank goodness I am off that plane.. Good luck on your surgery and I hope it goes well.
Yay PAtti- hope it works. Smarty hope you are all put together the way you like. Dutchie- ugly accident I am sorry. Years ago a drugged out man ran into my husbands car with his body, smashed the windshield, flipped over the car and landed in the middle of the intersection. I was behind my husbands' car having just picked mine up. I thought the crumpled object was a dog. The guys arm was bent the wrong direction, he was bloody and never lost consciousness! The cops thought he was high on PCPs - he fought like a lion with the ambulance crew. My poor husband was a nervous wreck after that accident, literally trembled. Some things you need time to soften.
Welcome newbies! Hi to all i missed. Chevy wish I could pack and go. I don't have the health to start over.
-
Good Morning! Okay, I'm back on the last page, where Spookies Grand-kid got his wardrobe habits from his Grandma! Remember when those were called Thongs? Yep, they WERE! And when my Grandson had his on when he was younger, I commented on his "Thongs" and he looked at me, like I had lost my MIND!
He said with that embarrassed look on his face, "GRANDMA, they are not THONGS...they are FLIP-FLOPS!!!"
So he must have known they would move to Florida some day! Flip Flops they are, because those other stupid little "panty" strings are now thongs.
Also, he had on his Parka, AND another hat! Wow! Temp must have been around 65??????
But he IS a cutie! All Grand-kids are....
Dutchess.... Wow... I'm so sorry... I have never seen anyone hit like that, but witnessed a car-crash, and had to go to court as a witness... What I SAW, was not how I thought it would turn out...
This car was smacked as he was crossing the intersection.. on a BUSY street... I thought it was the guys fault that HIT him, but it was the guys fault who "took the right of way" from the guy driving down the through street.... Sorry Dutchess... Have you heard how she is? Did the driver stop?
2222222222222! About TIME! That horn-dog was the one "performing" with Miley the tramp on that one show! I would have divorced his a$$ a long time ago... Man, that "performance" they did was rank! Made you embarrassed to even WATCH it!
Enerva.... it's okay... You would not have liked it... Miley is the Tramp of the year... and now going or doing Arnold and Maria's Son, along with the whole 6th fleet. It's just one of those embarrassments we have in these parts... She has this bionic tongue that is somehow dragging on the floor. She needs to put wheels on it, and have it licensed.
Hopeful! I just found that picture from Google Images... I think the snow/ice was so deep,it just held the car on it's nose!

Oh HI Sugar! You know, all of the women are just afraid! Probably even the guys! When this one friend of mine had Breast Cancer, I/we...were all afraid for her! We didn't know what would HAPPEN to her!
But she MADE it... Lost all her hair from chemo... then a year later, it happened to her AGAIN with her other breast!
I think you could help yourself, AND them, but showing how beautiful and healthy you STILL are!
My friend has since retired, and is leading a happy, healthy life... It's been 15 years now!
You can help them all, by showing that early detection, those dreaded mammogram's, and self exams are what has saved so many of us!
You can be their mentor... that's what I think of Chris... She made us all more aware, and in charge of our own health.... You GO girl!
Oh, by the way, I am a tad older than you...
STOP LAUGHING SPOOKIE AND CAMMI!!! I CAN HEAR YOU BOTH FROM HERE!!!
Yes "Sweet Sue"....Hah! But we all know better....
.... I LIKE "sugar-cakes"! I have to leave that one alone... So does your Husband call you that? The guys from the club? See, we have to know all this stuff. My name from a previous past was "Billie-Jean-Bodine."...... Just because..........
Oh wow HIHO! That's just awful!.... It's just hard to try and "erase" those things you saw... no way to do it...
Do not eat sugar??? Is she NUTS? WTH? And I suppose no chocolate cokes either? I would go somewhere else.
Your shoulders.... eeeeeks! I went through that rotator cuff repair with my Daughter.... Stayed all night with her the first night... and that "thing" that was connected to her.... the ice thing.... OMD! And then the therapy! But she had me..... I kept her laughing... maybe it was the drugs.
Morning Beaches and Rosie....
Rosie, so what's this about? You think the "progression" is your own fault? No... don't think that... It just happens... It's a wonder he didn't say it's because you ate sugar....
We are with you kiddo.... love your sense of humor... Sorry about what your Husband saw...
You might not THINK you have the health or energy to start over... but you COULD you know...? I could help you...
No.... don't start over.... I almost DID once.... Way to hard to even think about.... Give it time.....
-
-
The car did stop. They didn't slow down at all until after they hit her. The driver didn't see the runner and the runner didn't see the car coming. I doubt the runner knew what happened. The runner look 18-19 yo. I thought of my own daughter who also likes to go on long runs.
-
Oh, I know.... I saw a little girl in the store one time.... sitting, waiting for her Mom... And I smiled at her, because she was my little Daughter's age.... and when she got up, she only had one leg... I just turned around and started crying.... Things just hit you like that.....
Even walking on sidewalks.... A car can run right up there and hit you.... Driver isn't paying attention....
