2nd, good to see you. So sorry about your Mom. It must be just heartbreaking & exhausting.
Ok, I stole this from another thread, no biggie there. But now I NEED choc cake.

Today is Natl. Chocolate cake day. Sheesh, I am in a hotel room, by myself. Not getting back in the car, it's raining outside & I am in my Jammie's. Does look good...
-
OMG who can keep up with this thread--I was reading most of it , but not all of it--my eyes get crossed, so I'm tryin.
So sorry for all the crappy stuff going around with all of u, I really don't understand any letters, or numbers--I never really had the interest to look or learn, Sass u seem like u just can't get a break--well Chevy had one---That reminds me Chevy u don't seem like a very good person to be physically close to now that u'r spilling u'r guts how people are in danger to have u around.
Anyway I see on the news big snow on the east coast--I really don't know where the states are or who they are actually but it looks horrendous--it just miss us here.
Oh I forgot who was talking about Xanax but I've been on them since 1988 hahaha and one time I took my mom to a Dr. and she was having anxiety not sleeping well and just general stuff and she asked the Dr. if he would wwrite a script or Xanax for her and he said NO, u want to get addicted--She said I'm 85, got up and we walked out as she's saying I'll never come here again. Her new Dr. never had a problem getting them for her. My mom was a nutty bitch but wonderful--She loved to shop but when things got home they never looked right to her so she was the Queen of returns and my sister was the princess. My mom ordered a couch from an excellent store and called them to pick it up and she would continue there to look for another, well after 4 returns they sent her her money back and was asked not to shop there again--well thanks to me everyone saw the letter I finally had proof, why I didn't like to shop with her. I never did again, but my sister took over. Oh and she continued to shop there but used cash.
And Thank u all for u'r prayers, I really appreciate them.
Sorry I'm rambling away--can't help it sometimes.
Hope everyone is safe.

Hi ladies- well, you are busy here tonight! I am awake for awhile, seems my insomnia is back this week.
2nd time- I am very sorry about your mom and hospice. I know we have talked about the elder care issues in the past, and it is just so hard to witness this. Like Enerva and her family, we went through it as well with our father. I am glad you mother is resting and appears to be pain free. That is the best thing that hospice can do to help anyone. Keep us posted.
No big issues with the shot. A bit tired and achey off and on, but nothing I cannot cope with.
And I love the blizzard photo. Yum! This thread is making me hungry tonight.
And I am sorry you are having a hard time finding work. Can you find a way to access a job search coach or the like to help give you feedback to get an offer?
Enerva- love the hat, great color. Hugs around your dear departed bird.
Cami- hoping your day went well and you are resting tonight.
I was going to tell you when our mom passed in 2012, my sister says "well, you know what that means, we are walking the plank next!" As though our lives our are a pirates of the carribbean movie, LOL. Then we both got diagnosed with BC later that year, so no more jokes after that. The loss of a parent or sibling does hit your mortality button hard.
Sas- I hope you are hanging in there and getting some better information about what is going on.
Okay, back to bed my insomniac friends.
-
Jazz, I'm with ya tonight. Been up for a couple hours already. Hope you can get back to sleep. I decided to stay awake. Plan is to sleep during chemo today

Enerva, great hat. I bought one similar to that . Have tinted sunglasses to go with it. I think I look cool...lol
Well I hope everyone is in the middle of wonderful dreams

Made spicy fish tacos last night, really good. Want to eat more fish, but can't do it plain. This was yummy.
Chevy, there is a YouTube of a pole dancer, I think her name is Jennifer the butterfly..might not be jennifer, I will check...I am sure you taught her all her moves. I don't know how to copy and paste the link here. Since I am up, I will try to figure it out
-
best pole dance ever by Jenyne butterfly from 2011. That is the title, don't know how to past like here...sorry
I am sure these moves are nothing for chevy...
-
Rosie.... WTH? It sounds like you are falling apart from stem to stern.... You sound amazing to me... And I won't whine about my piddly little falling out of the tub stuff anymore. I can't imagine you still walking around on that leg! I know what a Femur is...But they could "fix" mine at least... What will they do for you now?
I would have more "down" days than good, if it were me... I'm just glad you are with us...

-
http://www.mostwatchedtoday.com/best-pole-dancer-e...
YES SUSAN! I loved that video... I fully appreciate and recognize so many of those moves...Ha! Yeah I wish! I thought for sure she was going to fall that one time!
Rosie.... just move back to Florida! My Daughter LOVES it... And so does the one here, with us, but she gets to visit a couple times a year.

2222222222! That's right! Temperature above my age! That would be perfect... Supposed to be nicer here today, with temps almost TO my age!
Oh? And so cammi's talking about a couch? I mean like a hundred of them? SHE should KNOW! I mean... well never mind....
Yes... I was around danger probably more than I knew... But when I saw that GUN, I just KNEW I had better beat feet, and get OUT of there rather quickly! He was waving it around, but hell-bent on catching her...That's when I threw that car into reverse like a flash! Haven't moved THAT fast since!
XANAX??? I never would have thought! I mean seriously now! Ha, ha! If that what it takes for my little Cammi, I will beg borrow and steal them for you little one.... I have ties you know! I have connections to the Mafia... you do too I know... Anyone around Italians just does. it's a given. We can get you Xanax...
How about weed? You need some weed? I hear it is all over here! Can you imagine us BOTH on weed? I never tried it, but we are getting close to that age where it should be on our bucket list.... I know you are much younge than I, but you are in the same bracket i am... I don't think we NEED it.... Ha, haaaaaaaa!
HiHo! Man, that cake looked soooooooo good! We could eat THAT and drink a chocolate coke WITH it!
-
chevy that is so funny, I have a sister who is always asking me if she should try some w... Or xanax cuz her journey with neuropathy pain is justvtoo much. I keep telling her to take whatever lol
But she never do I feel so sad for her.
Have a great day ladies I am on the train going to my hell job

-
Morning Enerva! "Hell job" eh? Try and make it fun.... do something silly or inappropriate... Make yourself laugh... Then blame it on me... Ha!
I think weed really helps some people with pain! Something to do with the blocking the something in the neuro whatevers.... So she should at least try it! Tell her to move here! It's rather abundant.... I hear. Tell her I said so too! See, I am older, therefore I know everything....

-
Gotta go and put ice melt on the steps so mom don't fall when she gets here.
-
Good morning insomniacs- I was able to get back to sleep, but of course, waking up tired. But I am up and may have a call coming in by 8 a.m. about some new consulting work, so I am guzzling coffee.
Susan- I hope you can rest well after chemo.
Chevy- NM may be legalizing mary jane here because of a budget crisis with the drop in oil and gas revenues. Their general fund which pays for much on the state, county and city level is drying up because of the drop in prices. I never knew this until the drop occurred recently and it's all over the news about the coffers running dry. Although I am no economist, it is a bit surprising that they have so many eggs in that one basket and now the hen has stopped laying. They won't do it willingly, but may may not have any other choice short term. It's before the state legislature.
Hoping everyone has a good day and will check in later!

Susan, I've tried all the usual pills for fibro, nothing there really helped. The best thing for me was to retire. No more stress tensing up my muscles. Then I started digging, noticed I am more sensitive to barometric changes, lights, noise, crowds. Can't do anything about the weather, stay home, ibuprofen. The rest, haven't been to the mall and places like it in years. Don't shop certain stores, publix, PetsMart. They make me absolutely crazy.
The D3 was a big help because I was sooooi low in it. Can tell if I'm out of it, more creaky.
Go to About.com, type in fibro. Get a large coffe and prepare to stay a few hours
-
Spookie- I have noticed lately I too am more sensitive to the weather changes. We have another storm coming, so I am going to be anticipating the change.
-
Low pressure systems can flatten me. We haven't had a hurricane in years, I don't know how I'll cope when we do get one.
There are over 100 symptoms of fibro, and a lot of good research IS going on. A good pain doc who will work with you is a rare find!
I had trigger point injections, Botox too. They did help, but didn't cure. Telling my work to take this job and shove it was the best for me. Johnny Paycheck
-
Morning Owlettes, just waking up. Busyb Busy
Jazzy, NM is likely looking at Colorado bounty of tax money from pot. There was a TV special. 53 million in taxes. Oops another sleep wave. BBL L&H&P's
-
Sas- I talked to a friend about this today whose children live in Denver and they said they are doing all kinds of things like fixing broken infrastructure, etc. with the revenue from the legalized pot in Colorado.
Everybody is smokin' it here anyways, I say why not (okay, not me though, just in case you were wondering. I have asthma so nothing in the lungs please except oxygen!)
-
Hi jazzygirl, I think they should let it go here in Ohio and legalize. Those that smoke, do it anyway, might as well collect the $$ from them. And the cops spend a lot of time chasing it. I think it would help the system.
-
BB- I think it would help too. I won't be surprised if it goes down the path similar to gay marriage. They began legalizing that state by state and now think it is before the supreme court. Pot will be done state by state and eventually the feds will approve it too when they see how much money will come from it. Let's face it, they are all smokin' it up on the hill too! LOL!
-
Good Morning gang-----
Excuse me Chevy but if the temp. was more than YOU'R age and the electricity would go for A/C, then there would be a blackout and everyone would be miserable. so we don't want that. Besides my age it would be lovey outside.
OK it's pot talk now-----I "think" it helps to relax u, therefore the pain part o u'r brain is relaxed, but now some big clinic and I did forget the name has also found that pot freezes cancer cells. So they can get them out fast and it shouldn't spread But I don't know the amount o pot u have to use or eat, All o a sudden they are researching pot--Well Willie Nelson has done OK with it. Now if they legalize it the government would make a fortune, plus it would lower all these deal that are going on the steeet corner, Yes Chevy not on the corner u use but close that's goin to hurt your business tho, not as many people will be out.
Fibro is supposed to be so painful, I would take anything to help--I take pain meds now and it takes the edge off at least, I'm to old to be a martyr anymore.
(((SAS)))
I hope everyone has a decent day today--stay safe from this weather, we're not having it but many states are.
-
Camster! You sound like yourself!!! Yay!!!!!
-
Cami- pot freezes cancer cells? Well, then I am ordering a round for everyone! Going to research that, thanks for the tidbit.
Glad you are doing better today.
-

Noodleburgers Recipe.... Hamburger, chopped up and fried a little.
Add cut up celery and onions.... cook with hamburger until tender.
Add 1 can Rotele Tomatoes, or diced tomatoes, and 1 can of tomato sauce. Add 1 can of water... Salt and Pepper
Add to cooked pasta.... 1 # is too much, unless you are feeding a family... Use maybe 1/2 bag... or 12 ozs...
Let all sit a minute or 2 and then serve... ! It's really good, and easy.....
