On the Roller Coaster Again
Hi all,
Looks as though I'm in that dark, scary place again. I've been having rib pain (and a strange red "rash" right where my left love handle is, not itchy) for the past couple weeks that seems to be getting worse, not better. Had xrays done today, along with a pelvic US b/c of fibroid pain and thickening of the uterine lining. Just to add to my issues is that Percocet no longer seems to work on my pain as I've been on and off of it since my dx.
I'm trying so hard to not fear the worst, but that's where my mind is going. Sure could use some prayers and words of encouragement . Havent shared w too many people as I feel like a Debbie Downer........
Hugs to you all,
Sharon

hi Sharon - I am not stage III but wanted you to know how much I understand about that dark scary feeling. I hate it and wanted to send you a big hug and that I am hoping everything turns out ok for you. I really dislike how BC does this to us. Hang tight we will all send prayers and mojo for you.
Hugs
Nancy

I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. I had a rash last year that scared me. It ended up being nothing. Hoping the same for you. -
Thanks Nancy and Carol

It is a very hard place to be. Hope you get an answer soon, and that it is a good one.

Hoping and praying for a good outcome! I can truly imagine what you must be feeling. Our diagnosis are almost identical. Hugs

Oh gosh Sharon, I'm so sorry!!
It is amazing how quickly our minds scream "cancer, cancer, cancer" when we have anything wrong. It is so hard and so scary.
Hope this just turns out to be nothing.
-
Sharon, lots of hugs to you.
-
Hugs from here, too, Sharon. Get a big "delete" button installed in your brain, and when your thoughts wander to the dark places, think "DELETE, DELETE, DELETE!" It sounds silly but it worked for me.
Have you been checked out for shingles?
Sorry you're worried and not feeling well. Prayer headed your way. Hang in there.
-
I'm so sorry you are going through this Sharon. As hard as we try to be optimistic, our brains now have an express switch to the dark place. I hope your tests find a source for your pain that is fixable.
-
Hi Sharon, I am sorry you're visiting the " dark side". We all know it well. Hoping an praying it's nothing.
-
Praying for you Sharon! I had a rash very recently right near my mastectomy scar. It turned out to be nothing. I hope its the same with you.
-
Thanks girls,
This has always been my "go to" place in my time of need.

I hope you get answers soon. SElizabeth mentioned shingles. That is as good potential diagnosis since it causes pain and a rash. I hope you are seeing your doctor soon. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think a rash is a common manifestation of mets
I understand the dark places your mind goes. Fingers crossed

sending you lots of good thoughts and positive vibes. Hope this is something minor. ((((Hugs))))

I hope the tests show it's something unrelated to BC, if anything at all, Sharon. I know that scary place—I haved visited there many times this past year. Prayers and good thoughts are coming your way

Sharon - Hugs and prayers for things to show NAD.Just a thought as the nursie side of me sets my mind puzzling. Your rash and chest are pain could possibly be related to Shingles. Has a doctor checked it out. Shingles only effects one sideof the body and can be extremely painful. Hugs.

Hi Sharon, I do know how it is so easy to go to the dark side. Wishing you the best. Hugs and prayers going your way.SharonMH

Sharon, I know from a family member's experience that shingles doesn't always "wrap around", and pain can be felt deep inside. I hate to wish shingles on anyone, but at least it has an end and is not fatal. I sincerely hope you are feeling better soon.

I haven't been around much lately, but I'm sending positive thoughts to you. I'm sorry you are going through this stressful time and I hope you find out that your pain is caused by an aggravating but benign condition.
There is no need to apologize. We're all here for you, especially when you are feeling worried.
I hope to hear some good news soon.
