*Waves* Hi everyone =)

I am a chemo "quitter". I was able to handle 4 out of 6 rounds of TCH, but my oncologist was very supportive of my decision and thoughts on the matter.

He cited a study which showed that ovarian suppression and exemestane(aromasin) was noted to decrease the risk of recurrence in premenopausal women VERY effectively, and I am willing to try it. I was 100% ER+ and pretty much the same PR+, as well as Her2+.

Pharmacy said they will have it tomorrow for me. I am having a DEX scan to check out my bone density on January 5th.

Hi! How are things going? I had a left side mastectomy at the beginning of December 2014. I was on tamoxifen for a year before surgery as I have other health issues that needed to be dealt with first. The tamoxifen stopped working in October which forced surgery.

I see my onc on the 26th and have been told that she is thinking that ovary suppression and an AI is how she wants to treat me. I'm 43 and premenopausal. My surgeon probably read the same study on the combos effectiveness.

Anyway, I would love to hear how you are doing!

    Hi Violet,

I also quit chemo after just half a dose when I had an allergic reaction. It was already a dubious benefit for me at an oncotype of 20, so instead I am going with OS with Zoladex injections and we will add AI when my estrogen drops. So far I feel fine but its only been three days....

Hi everyone, I'm looking at starting aromasin soon. I've researched and see lots of issues 're joint pain and bone damage.

Anyone have experience with aromasin? What SEs did you have? Hot flashes..weight gain...other? Do they lessen after a while?

I'm freaking out a little and not sure I want to go on hormone therapy. Words of wisdom would be welcomed.
