I had been approved, but went back to work. so much stress, now I am wishing i would have stayed off. if you were approved for it, how long have you been on it? is it difficult to remain on it? thank you!

Hi living, I was approved for the entire period of treatment. So almost 8 months or so. I think it depends on your doctor, as long as he certifies it, you'd be entitled for it.

living, I was approved for the entire treatment all the way to the end of radiation.  My policy allows me to work when I can so it pays based on what I am able to do.  If I can work 32 hours, it pays for the 8 hours but if I am off all week it pays.  I like that because you don't know from week to week how you will feel.

Yes. A LOT of scary paperwork to fill out, an initial denial, then approved. My minor children receive benefits as well. Feel free to PM me if you have any ?'s.

    Hi again,

I'm trying to recall what I did, but it's been quite a while. What I do remember is that I did the appeal on my own, filling out a bunch of papers. Also, there is more than one opportunity to appeal if you are denied, including reqesting a hearing. Mine never got that far though. If you've been to a lot of docs the documentation they have would really help.
