Trip to see Vinnie

Misty! I was dx at age 38! And I have two eight year olds! Well, they are almost nine.
-
jenjenl- it's great that you had such a positive experience! I'm heading there to see Vinnie in 4 weeks- I cannot wait! I'm trying to finalize our plans for the weekend.... how long after the start of your appointment were you out the door?
-
YAY, bobogirl and mistyb! Congratulations on your respective appointments! I know just how excited you are. (I remember well when my 'date' with Vinnie was seven months away... now it's four DAYS away!)
-
Happy 2015 to everyone!
I'd just like to know if it's possible to get areola tattoos done by Vinnie. I live in Australia and would be happy to make a trip to the US to have them done. I called several times about 6 months ago and also sent emails but didn't get a definite reply. I'm holding off having my tattoos redone (I had them done in Aust. several years ago and they've completely faded) because I want the best result that I can get. Any suggestions will be gratefully received! Thanks
-
Farrah - try this email address: nactattoo@gmail.com or (443) 905-2695. I got a reply fairly quickly. You might also wish to look into tattoo artists in Australia - not in a doctor's office. Since your tats have faded, I am assuming that it was done in a doctor's office. Apparently they use different inks. I had my original tats done by a doc many, many years ago and they did fade completely. I think that Vinnie might be spending some time on the west coast of the US this spring. Also, I understand that there are several artists on the west coast that are doing amazing work in 3-d tats on nips and areolas. Just might make your quest easier.
-
Thank you MartyJ. I'll try those contact details.
-
Uds17...exactly 1.5 hrs.
Good luck, the nips had a showing last night with my girlfriend's. They were so impressed. Makes me giggle...
-
farrah, when i was getting mine done trent said the week before someone had come in from peru! Good luck
-
AZ, I am SO excited for you! I almost feel like my appt is four days away! Where are you staying? Mistyb and I are looking for hotels, right, Misty?
-
YES! AZ- how exciting! Please give us an update of how your apt goes!! I am wondering about the facility as well as the actual tattoing... and where to stay... Very excited for you!!
Bobogirl.. my girls just turned 8!
-
OMG Misty!
What are we going to do??
-
bobogirl - I'm staying at the Marriott BWI just because it won't cost me a dime (by using hotel points I've accumulated over years on the road). I'm flying in on Wednesday - because I couldn't get a flight that arrives early enough to make it in time for my appointment on Thursday and I am NOT missing that appointment for any reason.... And of course the last flight out on Thursday was before my appointment would be over, so I'm not leaving until Friday anyway.
I hear a lot of the girls have stayed at the Hilton Gardens in Ownings Mills which is just down the road from Vinnie's shop in Finksburg:
And here's the link to the hotel's website: http://www.hilton.com/search/gi/us/md/owings_mills...Good luck!
-
Ooh! AZ! You are so good with the maps!
I am going to NOLA, not MD. otherwise I would follow your instructions exactly, since you obviously know what you are doing! I can't wait for your full report! XXX
-
Guess what I did today?
-
Oooooh! Congratulations AZ!!
-
I see posts mentioning NOLA. Who does them there?
-
bobogirl - I posted pictures over on the picture forum last night. Please let me know what you think...
beatmom - Vinnie does tats in both Maryland (three weeks of every month) and then goes to NOLA to do them for the remaining week.
-
OMG, AZ, I totally do not know how to get into the picture forum!!!
-
Does anyone know what's going on with the picture forum? When I try to go to it it says the server is down - the page is completely gone! This has been since last night that I know of. Anyone???
-
I had no problem. Just went on the forum. Maybe you need to clear your browser cache.
-
AlexaP - I didn't have any trouble getting on either last night nor this morning. Deleting your cookies as MartyJ suggested is probably a good idea!
-
Tried clearing my cache, using different browser even went from iPad to laptop. Still get message webpage is unavailable
-
Alexa, I have never been able to get on the picture forum!
-
I just got on. Are you sure you're trying the right link?
-
Probably not lala. Am not exactly tech idiot (well, not tech genius), but I have just never had good luck with that.
-
This is weird. I've been on for months and all of the sudden the link I have doesn't work. I asked whippetmom and she said she couldn't get on either. I've emailed 3 different admin emails and no one has answered. This is getting frustrating!!!
-
Well for whatever reason I CANNOT get into the picture forum. I'm VERY upset because I've made some really good friends there but hoping that they fix the issue. Some people can get on, some can't, no admins have answered emails...
So anyway, I had my uni PMX and SNB on right side in November. I had a mx 19 years ago with tram recon which we are doing our best to match. Had my last fill today and am at 800cc. I don't want saline so we will try the silicone route, so 800cc is the highest we can go. Ps said let it settle for a while and we will see. I think the symmetry will be VERY close so I'm excited that maybe I'm going to have exchange in 6-8 weeks! He said the exchange is much easier than the TE, it is done outpatient NO DRAINS (those who know me know how much I HATE DRAINS) and recovery should be pretty straightforward. Once I decide I'm happy with the symmetry from there I can book an apt with Vinnie! It's a happy day today. Remembering how miserable and scared I was all summer while my Drs dicked around trying to figure out a course of action I'm glad that it's mostly all done and I can start getting back to the business of life. I have about 50 pounds to lose and I'll be all the happier lol. Cleared togoto back to the gym. Now if the flu would just go away maybe I will go out!

since the administrators are volunteers with full time jobs, it might take a few days to get a response. One also lives in Japan creating a challenge with time zones. Just remember the picture forum is a privately owned, volunteer run site and not affiliated with bco. They do a great job! My usual link to the site continues to work
-
Thanks Marty. I've actually been private mailing nowheregirl (admin) here on BCO but now it says I've done too many PMs for one day so I can't do that anymore. There are others here who are having the same problem all the sudden can't get in, it's not just me. I meant in no way to disrespect admin, I know she's in Japan and there's a big time difference. My bff lived there for years...
On another note, I want to apologize as I totally hacked someone else's thread instead of starting my own. I truly apologize to everyone. It was thoughtless and rude. I ask your forgiveness
-
Is anyone going to see Vinnie in August? I just booked my appointment with him for August 4th. Can't wait!
