    Yes, Ducky, I agree with you! It's unfortunate that this year's vaccine is only 30% effective. My entire family got the shot immediately when it came out. I know that even if you get the flu after the shot, the illness should be milder and shorter. I only mentioned the nasal delivery for Lucy because her arm swelled so badly the last time she got a flu shot.

    Poppy good......I hope you all stay healthy.........even though its not full blown it is still uncomfortable and as I said the cough you r left with is the worst......

    I just wish they had gotten it right.......there are a lot of sick peope out there.........hopefullly people next year won't say "well look what happened last year, so why bother even getting the shot"......that could be a huge mistake, but face it.........it could happen........

    Yeah, been telling my mom for the last 5 years to tell my brother to get a place of his own. Mom and stepdad are getting older and don't need their kids or grandkids living with them forever! Been telling mom that she and my stepdad raised their kids and should have to be raising their grandkids. Can't wait for Princess to meet her Gramma.

    I am getting the fire going this morning ladies. Please toss some more things on!! It needs to ROAR for us today! It is 8 degrees here in the usually sunny south! I cannot get my doggie too go outside to do her business. She puts her brakes on and starts crying. So lets warm the area up so I am not cleaning puppy poo out of my house all day!!!!!!!

    Geewhiz - I end up putting puppy pads out when it gets that cold. My Tigger dog wouldn't go outside either. Even though she is not with us anymore, I keep looking for the puppy pads in the kitchen when I get up in the morning. Sure do miss her.

    Can I just take the rest of my problem boob and put it on the fire! Pinhole opening in the nipple decided to go to pea size and the open wound is having issues healing. Now the PS wants to see me next week. My husband is going on a business trip and I haven't driven since my surgery. Trying to figure out how I'm gonna get there and find someone to take me. Its a 3.5 hour drive each way from here. Where are all those friends that say, "Anytime you need me, just call"..

    Good Morning Goddesses,

    Ducky, Can't your grandchildren/children drop food at your doorstep?
    They don't have to have contact with you to bring you supplies.
    Seems so torturous telling you about the chicken and dumplings!!
    It made me hungry just reading about it.

    Poppy, I was so exhausted by the end of rads.
    I would be happy to pick you up and take you once in awhile when you need a break.
    You may want to keep that in mind as you get more tired.
    I think I'm about 45 min. from you.

    Geewhiz, I hope you all get some relief from the weather soon.

    GMA, I'm so sorry no one will help you.
    Maybe DH can postpone his business trip??
    I would take you if I was closer!!

    Has anyone heard from Kracker??
    I saw on the news that PA was having such bad weather.
    There were bad accidents all throughout the state.
    I hope she is safe and able to check in soon.

    Jo, my DD has been crocheting like crazy.
    So many cute things.
    It made me think of you and all your projects.

    Tomboy, I'm thinking about getting a new trench!!
    Just looking for a good deal.

    Poppy.. Thinking of you.. Hope things improve with your son.. I can only imagine how distressing all this is for you.. And to be going through Rads at the same time is just too much..

    Busy today.. Bought a large turkey after Christmas on a huge speciial. It's been taking up so much room in the freezer , so. invited some friends over tonight for "Christmas in Just anuary ".. Hmm..Seemed a great idea when I invited everyone a week.ago....Now that the day has arrived cooking Christmas dinner again seems like a lot of work.. HaHa.. Me and my big mouth.!!

    Slow........I'm ok.........today my daughter said the Cx and dumplings looks like "gel".......LOL........told her that is the starch in the flour causing that........

    I think by tomorrow I should be able to go shoppin;g..............today I went out to start my car. (concerned about the battery dying) and could not get the driver side door open...........did manage the passanger door........turned it on....put the heat on high........then went back inside......came out about 15 minutes later, and it was all cleaned off...........see..........I'm an indepent bitch...................

    Will go to the store tomorrow............I always say "the best help you can get is at the end of your right arm".............taught that by my mother...........cough is still bad, but I will survive.............using my inhaler 2 times a day, and keeping the chest loose............

    It is 17 degrees here at 3pm...........brrrrrrrrrr.........

    Slow, you are so kind to offer to drive me. I'll keep it in mind. When I go, I take my son to his treatment center, then I go to mine. I have energy in the morning, but usually am tired in the afternoon.

    Slow........OMG yes.........forgot about that.....LMAO.......

    Lucy....my daughter said the first day with the dumplings they were delish " but then since I didn't get any[ I can't swear to that.............

    It was the 2nd day after being in the fridge they turned to "gel"......I told her......heat the damn things , it will go back to normal............It did........but then I can't vouch for that either, cause I didn't get any leftovers either.........LOL..............

    Lucy.............that was in the summer (of course)......now it is all covered up and put to sleep for the winter.......not to be seen again until Memorial Day.................boo hoo...........but like they say.....image

    Am keeping your Brian in my prayers, K. ♥ You went to a Thomas Jefferson High School, I went to a George Washington High School in San Francisco. Loved that school........actually, I left my heart in San Francisco.....♥....loved living there.

    I have read back a ways, am sure I have probably forgotten some comments I wanted to make.

    Tomboy~I hope your brother, Larry, is doing well.

    Joan~You saying your grandchildren didn't want you to leave on your last visit & want you to come everyday is so special. The morning I left my DD's house after Christmas, (we had been there 8 days) my granddaughter came running out of her bedroom, stopped & looking at the luggage by the door, asked, "Are....... you....... leaving??" & the look on her face..... she ran to me & hugged me so tight & got a bit teary. I had such a wonderful time with both G-kids. It was priceless..... my heart is full.

    GmaFoley~I was very happy to hear your Path report was negative. Yay!! What a Christmas gift! Hoping your wounds begin to heal correctly. Please take it easy, okay?

    ducky~Hope you are feeling much better. How is Stella doing? I hope the meds have her seizures under control. She is such a cute doggie!

    Poppy K~I am keeping good thoughts for your son & his treatment. I hope this year is much better.

    Lucy55~Your comment about relatives pissing us off & drinking & throwing them into the bonfire (in no particular order!) made me realize I needed to do the same to a certain relative of mine!! I laughed when I read what you'd written & re-read it again.
