Gma, Glad your neck, clavicle and shoulder are feeling good. Sorry you have an open wound and are in pain from the surgery. Hope this heals quickly and you get relief from this pain.
-
Gma, working, really
-
Yep Blondiex, almost out of PTO and if I don't work, I can't pay bills.. especially now that I have this hospital bill to pay . It's ok, home computer job and I just set a few extra pillows on my office chair, recline a bit and I do ok. Today doesn't hurt much.
-
How cool is that
-
G'ma, sounds like you are on the mend with the exception of the wound. Hopefully that will clear up soon. So happy that you will finally have some relief!
Wanted to stop by with a quick drive by post to say Happy New Year to my sistas and love to all.

Prayers 4 brian

Week 4 post op - Emotional floodgate opened... It hurts to cry... My sternum hurts when I cry or when I move my left arm. Good news is my nipple hole is not growing... bad news is the open wound seems to be at a standstill. PS wants to double check next week - means a total of 7 hours of driving time. Hubby has a business trip and can't drive me and I am not driving yet. I might just go spend the week at daughter and grandson's place - they are closer - bring my computers to work from their house.. Just feel so emotional today....
-
Gentle hugs GMA!!
I wish I was closer to help.
Saying prayers for quick healing.
Hang in there - it will get better!! -
Praying FK and Brian are ok...
-
Gma.. Hugs and prayers.. My gosh.. I' surprised it is week 4 for you already !! Time has flown... Probaby a good idea to stay at your daughters..
Slow.. Hi !!

Just got lectured by one of the neighborhood ladies a bit ago because I was out shovelling the snow we got this morning. The snow was the fluffy kind that you can just push with a shovel. At the time I was halfway done with the driveway and she told me "You should just leave this for your husband to do when he gets home or hire someone to do this for you, because you shouldn't be outside exerting yourself because you have had cancer."
I told her that as soon as I was done I was going in and taking a break. I didn't feel like I was doing any harm to myself by doing some snow shovelling. Nor should my hubby have to come home and do this after working all day on top of his commute.
-
Mommy, oh dear, I am betting if it hurt you would stop but also think it is good exercise as long as you did not overdo things. Dang but if your snow was like mine in NJ then the soft fluffy stuff is good for you. Ignore her as I am sure she meant well
-
If I knew I was going to hurt myself with doing that I would have stopped. The snow was very easy to move with just pushing it with a shovel since it was fluffy. I enjoyed the excercise and took it very easy while I worked. Hubby called me a short bit ago and I told him what I did. He was pleased that I got a good bit of excercise.
-
Mommy, I think I would have told her "you're right! Thanks for volunteering", handed her the shovel and gone back inside the house. Even if she didn't do it, I would have had a good laugh!
-
Poppy.. HaHa.. Tooo funny 😃
-
hahaha Poppy!
Nice of the lady to be looking out for you. The exercise is good for us though.
-
Yep.

Had a new resident on rotation with my Radiation Oncologist today. He came in a introduced himself to me and tried to get to know me and make small talk. Poor guy, it really didn't work. He asked how old my boys are. When I told him they are 17, 15 and 12, the new doc asked if they all hate me. Considering my oldest really does hate us right now, it was awful. But I chose to keep calm and inform him that only one of my boys hate me. Oh, and he's yet another person I got to flash my boobs.
It's times like these that I think my antidepressant dose might be a bit too high!
Happy Weekend Everyone!
-
Poppyi its like if you do if your kids like you then you're not doing a good job your kids aren't supposed to like you your parents your mouth your friends it's really ok.
Hope everybody else is doing well hang in there big hugs to everybody
