Blondie.. That's beautiful..!!
-
Blondie, That is lovely! My friends here have given me support and encouragement... and mean so much to me!
Alyson, I immediately thought of your photo from Christmas when I was waiting for radiation today. The cover photo on the magazine was of a pomegranate/raspberry pavlova! I've wanted to try one for a long time.... ever since I helped my son learn about Australian traditions in preparation for his trip down under.
Gma, I hope you have an easy trip. Hope you feel relief from the staple removal.
I can't think of any funny stories.... it's been pretty stressful around here. It did snow here in SoCal last night.
Happy New Year Everyone!

I never questioned why me, why not me

Had my second post op today. Nipple stitches out and Dr. Kim said everything looked great for being 2.5 weeks post. He was amazed that the radiated side is healing better than the non radiated side. The open wound is better but still needs care. Said it should be fully healed by next visit in a month. Told me to rest one more week, then let the pain be my guide.

Slow......wish that was the cash......caught a horrible, cough, fever, chils, body aches.....from my SIL which he caught from his daughter, then my daughter got it.......now my grandson......been back since yesterday......I have not been sick with cold in years........they are thinking Type C flu........all got our vaccine, but this is a different strain..not as bad as A and B......thank heavens...........
My nose feels like a running fountain........but the trip was fantastic........
Funny...coming back on the approach to Philly Internation we hit an air pocket...........my ears were plugged, so of course I could not hear myself................I said "holy shit, what was that".............everyone around me on the plane was laughing their ass off.............I almost died...............my daughter said "Mom its like being on a roller coaster"..........I said "what roller coaster have you been on that went 15,000 feet in the air"...........LOL

Thank you for all the well-wishes - Here is a copy of my update for today to one of my LE topics:
Sorry for not updating sooner - I have had alot of pain since surgery. I ended up with an open wound on the left breast and have to treat it everyday. The right radiated breast is healing fine (that so confused the doc. he was sure that is where my complications would arise) I am starting to feel better. Just really tight across the torso and the breasts are starting to wake up. Arms have not had any swell, but my torso is a mess. Until the open wound is healed, I'm at a standstill with treating the LE, I think. A month post op this thursday and barely moving, doing my home computer job and sleeping the rest of the time. I am not able to pull on sleeves without pulling on incisions. So not wearing my sleeves. Not sure what to do at this point except rest and keep arms as elevated as possible. Now for the good news - my neck, clavicle and shoulder pain are basically gone. Still waiting judgement on the horrible nerve pain I've had in the breast for 3 years. I think the other incision pain might be overpowering it, but atm, I don't feel the nerve pain anymore.
-
Yay GMA.....no more nerve pain!! Sending good thoughts for speedy healing!!
-
well
GmaF...finally
I'm very happy for u
For as long as I no U...U HAVE BEEN IN PAIN
It's painfree time
Yay
