    I have been on tamoxifen for over a year and am really frustrated with the side effects.  The worst for me is constipation.  I have tried changing diet but it doesn't seem to help.  The muscle cramps have improved since I started b-12.  Any recommendations?

    C can be very uncomfortable. Have you tried Metamucil? My doctor recommended it, and it did help me when I took it for a short time. Before Tamox I had issues with Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Tamox and other drugs have balanced things out for me... my mother used it for years as well. I found the pill palatable - I could not have drunk the powder mixed with anything... I eat high fiber diet but Metamucil helps balance the soluble... best wishes

    Tamoxifen gave me horrible constipation also. I began taking probiotics every day, and also a Fiber Choice tablet with prebiotics every day as well. As soon as I would forget a day, I would know.
