mustard (my secret mac and cheese ingredient). Here is my son's recipe:
MAC AND CHEESE:
8 oz macaroni
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
1 cup light cream
2.5 cups cheddar cheese (2 cups mixed in, 1/2 cup for top)
1/2 tsp salt, pepper to taste
1 tsp mustard
1/2-1 cup panko breadcrumbs + 1 tbsp butter for crustDirections:
Preheat to 400.
Melt butter on stove, stir in flour gradually until smooth.
Add salt, pepper, cream, and milk.
Stir until thickened.
Add 2 cups cheese and mustard.
Combine with macaroni and move to baking dish.
Cover with 1/2 cup cheese, then breadcrumb mix.
Cook around 25 minutes.
Eat until you feel like your veins are pumping gravy.

I make it in a pie pan, indent the middle & add a mashed potato/velvetta cheese/parsley mixture on the top for the last 10 minutes.....very, very sinful!
