Too true. I ADORE this thread. Let's take another trip. This time to one of our homes? Anyone want to start or have a better idea?
-
wow! We'd had to cross a lot of roads if we visited everyone's homes
-
Good morning. I'd like to welcome you to the city of Kitchener. Part of the tri-cities including Waterloo and Cambridge. There is a broad variety of things to see and do here and it is home to the largest Oktoberfest celebration in North America. Yesterday, I took you to our local Santa Claus parade and as all the floats started winding down and Santa himself appeared on the horizon, I got to do something special.
I introduced you to two of my grandchildren, Dayton (14, walking) and Faith (12, in the back of the van)
Here they are with Santa.
I will introduce you to some other great experiences in our city over the next week, then it is someone else's turn.
Hugs'n'kisses,
Deb

Thanks, Deb! Your town looks like lots of fun. I'd love to attend the Octoberfest festival. (My city has Summerfest, which is the World's Largest Music Festival) Gotta love a good festival!!. Your grandkids are adorable. Does Faith ever braid her beautiful blond hair?
-
As a matter of fact she does. Since you mentioned Oktoberfest I have some pics of us all attending.
This is Onkel Hans, the official mascot for our festival.
Here is a variety pack - notice all of us in the middle picture? Just off to the right.
Of course, all this merriment comes with a ton of Ride Programs - outside every festhall and on every ramp to and from the highway. Even a few raids in the seedier section of town - yes, unfortunately, we have one of those.
Tomorrow, I think I'll take you for a walk down some of our nature trails, maybe Beaver Pond.
Have a good night.

this thread has been quiet.
Red, have you kept a diary of your travels and adventures?
-
Tis the season to let my fairy out to play
-
In my world, bride, it is the season to let my DAIRY come out and play. Eggnog and cheesecake and ice cream oh my.
-
There are little HAIRY animals scurrying about on my park walks...perchance they're hiding from bride's fairy.
-
OK well that idea makes all the HAIRS on the back of my neck rise. To think that all the other creatures can see the fairies, but not us. How sad.
-
With the start of the new year, hoping each and every one is having a wonderful year! Wishing good fortunate to all, may we all SHARE a big lottery win
-
Ohhh! Winning a Kindle would be great for anyone who READS!
-

-

Maybe she READS Debbie Macomber's books! She was a friend many years ago, when she first started writing
-
Reading fast is better on a Kindle. If she reads a book too fast, she may shred the pages.
-
I like Debbie Macomber books. I remember one had a picture of the sea SHORE on the cover. Hmm bad grammar.
-
Sometimes I score a free e-book. Most of them are cookbooks though.
-
liking cookbooks. Is there a recipe in one that would make a great scone
-
Yes there is! You should SCOPE out Good Housekeeping Cookbook circa 1980. I bought one for all 5 of my girls!
-
Capes and masks, Batman! I have one of those in my collection as well as a recent edition. My go-to cookbooks
-
CARPE diem! I seize that cookbook often, also one of my favs. They have a super recipe for potatoes au gratin in there that is a family favourite.
-
paper recipes are the best! Potatoes sound yummy!
-
Have you checked out their apple recipes?
-
not yet despite all my pleas
-
When I beg, my Mom SLAPS me!
