Grateful that my daughter is coming home tomorrow from college for Christmas break. This Christmas will be tougher than normal both physically and financially, so her being here is my gift.

only this would happen on the gratitude thread, hahaha. I have been MIA as typing on BCO on the iPad has been a very hard task lately, you type a letter then wait for the iPad to catch up, the screen scrolls up and you can't see what happens all this started when Apple did upgrades and so did BCO and the iPad keeps self correcting so I just gave up but I'm grateful that eventually all will be resolve
-
grateful that DH made it home in one piece (had to drive on foggy, icy roads)
-
12/14- grateful for a nice afternoon wine tasting gathering with a women's professional group here in town. I was tired and reluctant to go, but glad I did!
-
Dec 13 grateful that the Children's Christmas Party went well. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the bowling, pizza, Santa's arrival with his elves and were enthusiastic about the gifts.
Dec 14 grateful that the siblings birthday party went over well. 2 of my children had birthdays this weekend so we did a combo for both of them. Also happy that the gifts I had bought each of them were declared awesome.
Dec 15 today I am grateful to be able to welcome Msqueen to our group. We are a nice bunch of girls and we look forward to your postings.
Have a happy Monday ladies.

Grateful that I was able to help out a friend whose mom has ended up in the hospital. She teaches, and I was able to zip over and sub for her at the last minute.

grateful for modern medicine

Today I am grateful for waking up without my alarm for the first time in a long time! Means I had a good sleep and my body was done with sleeping.
-
Last night my 25 year old DS and I went to the last installment of the movie The Hobbit. I read the The Lord of the Rings books to him when he was in second grade and we re-read them separately when the movies came out & have been going to the opening night together for each of the 6 movies ever since they started many years ago when he was in elementary school (for those not familiar, they would release a new movie every other year with the first three books, then there was a gap of years until the last 3 came out). So, I am grateful that he still wanted to carry on the tradition of seeing it with me even though he is a grown up man, and I am very grateful that I have lived long enough for them to finish the series!
-
Ruth that's just wonderful that your DS and you have that close relationship. And traditions are important!
Dec 17 - Today I am grateful for my coworker who helped me devise a scheme for getting an indifferent coworker to buy into our enthusiasm for our project. Now to see if it works.
Have a great day everyone.
-
12/17- grateful to wake up to snow this morning. We always need moisture here in the Land of Enchantment. Snow has changed to a lite rain now.
-
I am grateful that I agreed to sub today because I got to listen to the great middle school bands and orchestra give a concert during homeroom, got invited to the teacher's potluck at noon; and since I was subbing for the librarian, I got to swipe books in and out on the computer, stamp books, visit with students and hang out in a room full of books all day!
-
Ruth - what an awesome relationship with your son.
Today I am grateful to be home from the hospital , sleeping in my own bed and finally getting a shower.
-
