Mac, Good luck with your mammo. I asked for mine to be scheduled after the holidays. Told my BS I needed to be able to try and forget all this crap for a few weeks. I hope the new meds help you!

I am happy to tell you that my lump was scar tissue. The was such welcome news to hear. Thank you all so much for your support. I was pretty scared. They did both a mammo and an ultrasound. I got my flu shot there and made my appt with my onc for when she returns from her vacation, well actually January.

Gingerbrew, oh what a relief.

My mammo came back with no cause for concern! Whew! They read them right away for us that come from far away. So I had some nervous moments but it was all good. except for the squishing.

I was worn out, though. My DD went with me and we stayed away over night. We hit the IKEA on the way up. She is shopping for her new house. Then we picked up some basic stuff at Target 'cause it was open until 11pm. Slept until 7am then up and on our way to the cape to pick up some granite shelves that were being specially cut. Then back to the boat by noon because DD had to be to work by 2pm. I'm still recovering.

Even tho, you didn't get to your medical appts, you had wonderful events to attend. Having those med appts just gets in the way sometimes. But I hear you about the extra travel.

when we were in the city, we visited a young friend that had a baby about 2 months ago. The poor little baby has many problems the main one being having a cleft palette. So the little guy needs a feeding tube directly into his belly. He is still in the NICU unit at Children's Hospital. Hopefully he can have surgery to repair the roof of his mouth. I left feeling very grateful for the medical care we have access to.

On Saturday many volunteers placed wreaths in our veterans' cemeteris across America...this one is here in San Diego very near where we have our BCO lunch bunch gatherings..This is also where I will end up eventually.

Thank you all so much for your good wishes and prayers. I was far more scared than I was admitting to myself. I was sort of vibrating.

Has anyone heard from Connie, I forget what her BCO name is. I am feeling concern that we haven't heard back and I want to send you hugs.

I hope I am not overstepping here. For me, sometimes saying something outloud makes it "real." I can be slow to disclose certain events beause of that. As we have all come together to support one another I have come to trust in this group that I will be safe. Connie we all love you and care for you.

Wilsie2 I am sad to hear your tests gave you these results. I too found it very difficult to tell my kids, all grown, that I had BC. I will keep you in prayers.

thanks, GInger and Chrissy. My new treatment is Gemzar/carboplatin. Have to wait 6weeks at least to know if it's working. Guess I may as well get it off my mind, since there is nothing I can do about it.

I don't think I'd be so down if I felt better. Don't know if it's the antibiotic or chemo se.
