    Hey Mods I logged on this morning from home on my ipad and had the lag typing problem again, I'm at work now on my laptop - no problem.

    Mods - trying to access the new post to "breaking research news". When I click on the article link I get a window that wants another user name & password and says "not authorized". Also says "no bots". This isn't normal to read the articles.

    Ijust spent probably 20 minutes or more trying to post on 'Lets Post our Daily Exercise' thread and it was all lag typing I would type a word and then I'd stop and watch the keys slowly catch up, so frustrating as on the iPad you type something and it auto corrects for you but I came over here to report and it's just fine, weird.......

    We are not sure why that happened. We apologize, but cannot replicate the problem. Have you tried to re-boot?

    Hi mods. I can't see the smiley icon on the tool bar anymore. Don't have access to a computer to see if it's missing there as well, but it's definitely missing from my phone and iPad.

    There seems to be ongoing problems with the iPad interface causing a range of posting problems. The 'smiley icon' (insert emoticons) is visible on computers. Thanks for reporting it though.

    There are major problems on your website..........I have no problems on any others........after typing a few lines the entire system slows down, and things go so slow, I could run the message to you offfice...I'm 20 minues awa....in Drexel Hill, Pa.......Apple says its your website.....many people are having the problem............can't type more.....it wont allow me to......HEL

    I'm having the same problem on an iPad. I type and the letters show up very slowly. It isn't happening while I am typing this note though. Maybe something was working in the background on my side

    Thank you for reporting this iPad slow typing problem. It has been reported and is being investigated. Sorry for the inconvenience but it is hard for websites today as there are so many platforms and browsers that need to be supported and that makes everything very complex.

    What version iPad are you using, and which operating system and browser? Specifics are very helpful to the tech team!

    Please let us know if you experience this slow typing problem still.

    The software used in the post window will probably be updated next week too, so that may help with the iPad problems.

    No problems. However, it's a while since I accessed BCO on the Mac. Very cool that when the cursor hovers on a toolbar icon, it shadows the icon in blue and gives a description. Haven't seen this before (doesn't seem to work that way on the iPad), and like it. Thanks, the newbies will appreciate it.

    Hey Mods I know it's being worked on but last night was the absolute worst for me, I got so frustrated I just logged off and didn't post in the thread I worked on for probably almost an hour... I'm using using 8.1.1, on my Ipad and it kept self correcting, I don't know why the geniuses at Apple think they know what I'm thinking, but they sure as heck don't and it was so slow you would type an "a" and it would take at least 10 seconds to appear, then when it would self correct and by the time you saw it the self correction going back to correct was even more frustrating, guess I'm just going to read at night and then post at work, thanks for all you know I know this is probably just as frustrating for you.

    Was a change just rolled in? All of a sudden in the past 15 minutes or so, a pop up Authentication Required window keeps popping up. I'm logged in and I can still add/edit posts, just ignore the pop up. Never saw this before. I'm on an iPad, BTW

    I logged in this afternoon after being on a lot last evening. I, too, am getting what 2nd time around is getting. Very frustrating. Something about a picture authorization requiring an ID and password. Only website that is doing this. I'm on a PC running Firefox Browser Windows 7. Thank you so much.

    There have been some updates in the software used in the post window that may be causing this. We're sorry for that and we hope that it will only be a temporary glitch. Please let us know if you are still having this problem.

    last night I also experienced for the first time what HBCheryl posted: what I typed was displayed at a snails pace. It was on the iPad, only lasted a couple minutes, annoying. Was writing a long PM, maybe it was telling me it was time for sleep

    Hi mods.  Further to my last post. It's happening again.  This time on my phone. Text shows up right, but once it's submitted,  it leaves extra spaces and/or leaves out the last word.  Not a problem when it's on a post; I can edit,  but it's happening on pm's too and I can't edit those.  I don't want to look like an illiterate fool.  It's also happening to others because their pm's are obviously notcoming out the way they've been typed. Also I can see now that I'm typing this,  no matter what I do,  I can't get a space between "not coming" and it's leaving extra spaces after punctuation.

    It almost seems that on Android,  the text is always trying to catch up.  Maybe that's the problem with the last word thing. If I hit submit when I'm done right away,  the last word isn't there.  If I wait a couple minutes, it is.
