IDC in LA (Lower ALABAMA)

the Oncologist had told me over the phone during my Thankgiving vacation, that it was positive for cancer, but seems I couldn't find out what type over the phone, after I found this wonderful board.

There are several more tests she wants me to take before a treatment plan is in place. I go back to her Dec 19.

But today, I did find out IDC possible stage 2. (now why couldn't she have told me that over the phone?)

She told me she did want to start me with chemo SOON. And sometime after that, I'd have operation.

I told her she can have that boob! Remove the whole thing, that way I won't have to worry about it coming back in that one. Matter of fact, she could have both!

This website is WONDERFUL at explaining the different types of cancer, and the treatments for each. As well as a WONDERFUL board . I sure hit a bingo, on my google with this board and website.

    yes Brenda the ladies (and even a few men) here are fantastic! I have learned so much here. And like you, when I found out I had IDC on one breast, I decided on a double mastectomy.

    Seems maybe since we have a few more test, and no treatment plan yet, she seemed to say only single mastectomy. I'm thinking, I do NOT want another damn operation later on the other one, lets nip this krap in the bud taking both at one whack.

    Been looking online for hats and bangs. tlcdirect.org had some really cute hats, as well as hair pieces. I have high forehead, and at 57, it's quite wrinkled. I wear bangs to cover them. They have what they call halo's. Hair in back as well as bangs in front. Really cute and a lot of colors to choose from.
