Been to England once, hoping to go back once hubby is retired, he's never been there. I went in my Senior year of high school for Easter week. Had a blast, didn't want to leave!
-
hi mommy, see you're up. Me too. How's the new baby doing? Does she sleep when you're awake? Mine are all back in my bed. I hate this part where I can't get back to sleep in the middle of the night.
Anybody else up

*Good Morning Owlettes*
Christmas cards are in the mail.

Princess is doing well. Still going to the kitty box on her own. The only thing we have to do for her is to pick her up and put her down in front of her food and water dish. We keep them out of the dog's reach. When she's had her fill, she jumps down on her own though. She naps during the day and then when we go to bed,she crashes in the kitty bed that we had for Charcoal. Thinking about getting her a new one as Charcoal's is about shot!
I got one big part of my day done. Finished decorating the tree, suprisingly the kitten didn't get under my feet while I was doing this.

Badger YAY another accomplishment --great job

Nettie, Hi hope all is well
. Your punch bowl set is Star of David or Prescut. More likely Star of David by Anchor Hocking. Unusual to have a full set. The conical shaped dish is the base for the punch bowl as you likely know. What's fun with the base is you can use it as a dish by itself. Turn it upside down it can be used as a candle holder. Allot of both patterns are coming on the thrift market. What's nice about both patterns is they are so close, you can use them both without really seeing the difference. Not many patterns can that happen with.
Nettie, pick the busiest thrift store near you and make regular visits every week or so. I rapidly was able to get a number of pieces for my cleaning gal. She now has a whole set of serving pieces for a relative pittance. Have fun.
Jwoo------try and get the pattern name for BFF Fostoria
BBL 1 pm appointment with ENT doc about neck thingy.

Jackson, isn't a happy dog right now, Princess laid down on his dog bed! He just looked at me as if to say "Mom, move the kitten!"

Jwoo great pics. if you don't have pattern name, do a pic. I love playing glass detective. Reread your post, sounds like any aqua opalescent piece of Fenton. ???? How do you know they are Fenton? I'm going to look at Replacements.com. If BFF has a group shot of the pieces from different angles , close-ups--I can identify the patterns. Aqua& cobalt are usually higher valued then other colors.2nd ---so delish to not get dressed. Same as choosing not to open the mail, or not cooking dinner, or not doing laundry.
Neck thingy--ENT doc wants to watch and wait. Proirity, is to get the levels to settle. Yeah, trying hard, very hard. Like I want the cancer spreading. Stupid thyroid.
-
Jwoo-
I like this, dc'd in 1912, move your screen back and forth and see how the colors change.

-
jwooo-Aqua Opalescent is a pattern name. But it shows only one piece a bell. Are you buying only bells/http://www.replacements.com/webquote/FENAQO.htm
HahHa- Fenton produced hundreds of patterns. Aqua Opalescent is an actual pattern. Rc only has one item in it's listing for that pattern. Wandering around ebay, Images and this catalog. Other patterns might have an aqua opalescent color. So, this is a rare case where it is a pattern and a color.
I also, found other items that have the coloration of the one item on RC. Tough call to say it's from the pattern Aqua Opalescent. or just the color aqua opalescent.. Rc isn't perfect. Just close to perfect in listing items. I have found items that are to me absolutely in a pattern , but not listed in the lists for RC. Is that clear?
I found this catalog from 2005. It very artfully presents glass on each page. Beautiful. I would suggest wandering through each page. It will give you a good sense of what Fenton is AND is not. I find too often Ebay sellers mislabel things or don't take the time to label at all. After looking at this catalog, try to google catalogs from different years. Never know what you can pull up.
http://www.fentonartglass.com/catalog05/catalog_index.asp
Sometimes on Ebay, you can snag the best deals when a seller doesn't take the time to identify a maker.
In the listings for color aqua & opalescent glass., a couple of pieces were listed at 13+ and 18 + $'s.........all the other listings were way, way pricier. They could be Fenton, maybe not. Could be a lazy seller. Sorry, but it's great for us when they are lazy.
I don't know if Fenton always put a makers mark on the glass. I know many glassmakers either didn't or weren't consistent. If you see a listing that says unknown and you question, and the seller says it can't be a certain glassmaker b/c it doesn't have the MARK. Just isn't true.
The exception to this is.....with pattern molds that have been bought out and sent to China. If you think it's a China reproduction ask the seller. If you buy it, examine it well. Once in hand you can generally feel the quality difference. Once I sought a refund. Another piece the cost was similar to a Target item. It was a red seasonal bowl. Price was okay so, I didn't pursue it.
Have fun

Enerva this was on warm and fuzzy's thread. The owl scarf.
You can see Shovava @ the bottom. I went to her web site.
On her tops page, she had two crocheted tops. 48&58 dollars. Not as nice as your creations

Just got word that one of my long time friends went into a hospice facility - she's living with her son & his wife in eastern WA and was on home hospice care. She has advanced breast cancer & has stopped treatment. Her dil says her pain became unbearable and the doctor said she needed to go in for better pain management. I'm feeling so bad for her. I need prayers for her and hugs for me, friends.
Martha

Martha sorry, will be praying Bless you all.

Blessings Transferred a copy of your empathy post to Warm & Fuzzies
Lovely:) Think I'll put it in W&F's topic box so it doesn't get lost. -
This is my "new" car... So far I know where the gas goes, how to open that little door, the hood and the trunk! I am a whiz! I have the radio "set" and I pretend I know what all the other doo-dads are on the dash... So far so good! I even have my seat adjusted! It goes UP, down, forward and backwards, AND it tilts forward! I can even see over the steering wheel! My left foot feels rather useless without a clutch... I have driven it around a few blocks, but compared to my other 15 year old Chevy with a clutch, I feel like I am driving a high-speed Camaro.... AND I can control all the doors and windows.... HAH!So now I will say "Get IN, sit DOWN and shut UP!" I have so much power now... Me AND the car.Our Nephew is coming over tomorrow night, to finalize the deal... So then I will be driving all around this town!Thinking of you Martha..... L&H's......
-
Martha, hugs and prayers for all of you.
-
OhhhhhhChevy!!!!!!! Niiiice!!!!!
But what is it? I can't tell from the pic?????
-
My car is a 2011 Chevy Cruz... with "stuff" in it.... things I am trying to figure out.... Ha! I just went out to look at it in the garage.... It's like a "present" every time I see it.... DH just said he is paying for it! Don't get any better than that...... I thought I was going to... so now I have to be extra nice...Ha!
-
Martha, so sad, many hugs to you both.
Chevy, same color as the pic? Does it have snow tires? You need to post a pic with you in front of the car.
Morning owls. RAINING here! This will help a little with the drought. Got most of my stuff ready and done. Going to wrap presents. No cold so far! Yeah
-
Gotta make out my wish list for Christmas for hubby and the "kids". I always get a present from the "kids" every year.

Chevy- I drove a cruiz all over Jacksonville when I was out. It handles well and is peppy and comfy- big trunk. I didn't like the keyless start and the car was so quiet I left it on one time because I didn't realize it was still running! Luckily I just ran into a store for a few things and when I came back out.. and opened the door the airconditioner was on! It is a very quiet car. The one I rented was deep red. The gas mileage was great! Hope you enjoy it. What color did you choose? I agree with Smarty- take a photo of you with your new wheels!
You know that stupid part to start our Passat costs 450.00! ..gggrrrrr It's still sitting at the dealers... dead! Yay for German engineering! NOT!!! It only has 108K. I wish we had our old toyota back or a Subaru. Although I got a rental car when my Caravan was getting repaired that was a Subaru Outback and the steering was so tight it was like driving a Tank...you needed muscles! Seats were too hard too. I was glad to give it back. We have had Subaru legacies, a sedan and a wagon and I loved both. We gave our Subaru legacy wagon to a family that desperately needed a reliable car and they drove that thing for YEARS. (I actually gave the car to the Quaker Meeting because I didn't think the family would take it from us, but might if it was donated. It had over a 100k but was in otherwise good shape. Made me feel good every time I saw them in the car. Sow seeds of kindness. ) My Caravan is very comfy and it fits 3 kids and 3 dogs much better -gas mileage sucks.
Smarty yay for rain! You folks need it.
Mostlymom- I am sorry for the decline of your friend. Prayers for Martha and her family and you too.
-
CHEVY, if you have the owners manual with it, go have a bubble bath and read it. Then, go sit in it and figure all the stuff out.
It took me 3 months to figure out how to get the high beams to work! I had to ask dealer. Should have read the book!

Good Morning all....
Jwoo, thanks again for the amazing photos. It was like a mini vacation looking at them.
Blessings....Love the video.....that should be shown, over & over in Jr. High.....I think it would sink in if taught, but sadly so many people have no clue. It needs to be role modeled.....
Busy, as always....off to paint, hair cut, PT, tennis....I will be exhausted by 8:00...
