didn't know where to post this and maybe stage IIIers would consider this.

I want to get a shower filter and a kitchen sink filter after reading some things about chlorinated water and all the other crap in the tap water. Can't really findanyhing conclusive or isn't trying to sell somthing.

Did anyone get one? Down research on it?

I did get a PUR water filter, it fits on your tap. It does make the water taste a good deal better, its supposed to remove a lot of stuff. I drink lots of water, and I really can taste the difference, between the kitchen water i drink, and the bathroom water i use when i am brushing my teeth. There really can be some nasty stuff in a municipal water supply. at least chlorine will dissapate in the sunlight, but they also add chloramines, which will actually kill fish in a tank. I like my PUR.

We use reverse osmosis. We rent the system, no fuss, no hassle. Guy comes every six months to change the filter, maintain the units and check the water quality. From experience, it did not work being hooked up to the shower because there's just too many of us using the shower at the same time to wait for it to filter. They replace your drinking water tap with a smaller one for the system free of charge so your kitchen water is always on demand. If you happen to rent your water heater and softener from the same company, they often give you a deal on the osmosis systems.

No water from the earth's toilet has touched my lips since 2006 unless it's been filtered. Worth every penny. The difference in the look and smell is amazing.
