Hi ladies I have been on exemestane for about 8 weeks. I was on letrozole but had terrible se. Initially the exemestane seemed much better. But i think the effects are cumalative. I have terrible feet and ankle pain. I am also having depression. Have any of you ladies experienced this with exemestane?

I had neck and pain in fingers but better than anastrozole. I am tired and feel mild nausea and get reflux at night. I have ringing in one ear

I've been on exemestane a little over a year better than anastrozole

In year 1 of AIs, first arimidex, then aromasin, I had intense foot and ankle pain mostly on one foot, also hip pain in the same leg. X-rays showed no problem except slight osteoarthritis. I bought very supportive running shoes to correct pronation. I also switched the direction I ran around the park path. Took NSAIDs for a while. I've a slightly curved spine and the loss of estrogen exasperated the existing problem. Much better now.

Depression is an unfortunate SE of AIs and/or the breast cancer experience. Usually can be successfully treated with an antidepressant and sometime the addition of talk or mindfulness therapy. It can be difficult to ask for that help, but clearly worth the relief it brings.
