My ds's all out of school all week and dh took off to. Sis snd family is coming for thanksgiving. Wed / sun am. Their are 5 of them plus our 4, sounds like a lot of cooking. Def do paper plates and utensils. Except on thanksgiving day. Gotta have a real plate for that load. Lol. Sounds like great family's miry making times. Laughing at old pics , making new ones , games and just sighing. I am ready a little life in these pain filled days.

We staged our last house when we were selling it – took 10 months to sell! This was our staged dining room:

    image

By the time we had it staged, we already had 2 storage rooms full of what we had removed. Still haven't unpacked it all, nearly 4 years later. Hmmm. What does that tell me?

Sassy, it was never used as a spoon rest. Don't think mom ever even unpacked it in 40 years or more.

Mags I get she used it for teaspoons. It was on the relish Patterglass page that said they could be used as a spoonrest. Then you corrected me re:her usuage.  Anyways. Your staged dining room is lovely. With the stuff in storage, think more of what fun to open a box and remembering stuff versus I haven't missed this in 4 years, I don't need it( I think that's what you are thinking?). It was fun chasing glass yesterday :0 Thanks.

Pepper, so hope all the wonderful visiting helps you forget the pain Hopahopa. Blessings Glad you enjoy the glass fun :)

Momma you sound sooooo happy with Princess :)  I see you're new avatar :) More pics when you can, please :)

I LOVE all those CARS! Have an appointment tomorrow to go see the Dealer... Says he has a golf-cart to take us around, so it won't be so hard! Should have one by tomorrow afternoon.... hopefully.

Momom.... I can't either for some reason. Not even from one thread to another! But that is Princess in your avatar? At least you got that one to post!

Oh! I did it by opening IE, then go to BC.ORG, then finding this picture on another thread, then hit copy, then came to this thread, to post it here.... Just so I could say that this was Cammi, taken a couple days ago.... with her scarlet dress on. Her "work-clothes" when she is working.... "on the phone"..... And then someone is coming over? (" on the eve") ....

Hope you get Mr. shoestromfenagle straightened out....

Patty peppermint, have a wonderful time with your sis & family. Sounds chaotic & fun.

I am going to the mountains for 2 nights. My very good friends 60th b-day. We will come home Thursday morning. I did the whole Thanksgiving last week, I am done with that.

Hello to all......Susan, how ya doing? is your DD coming for Turkey Day? image

I hate to be a party pooper but I am sick of turkey.. we opted for a pork roast. Super low salt from Trader Joes. Hope it comes out ok. Sure is easier and less mess. We can't eat all those left overs! too much. Love the cartoons.

Chevy- we have some neighbors that have a Toyota Prius that they drive all over creation. It has 300,000 miles on it. All they have replaced is tires and brakes, and something with scheduled maintenance. The gas mileage is amazing 45-50mpg. Our Passat is fading and I want my DH to get a Prius like our neighbors. The only thing you live in Colorado.. snow. We have had 2 Subarus and I LOVED them. They are fantastic in snow, super safe, fairly good gas mileage and durable. They have tight steering and are not like driving German cars, but they last! None of those cars are fancy or "fun" but I value safety and cost (long term/ mileage). I wish you luck and get an automatic!!

Sassy, Mags- Pretty dishes you all have! None of mine are fancy.. simple and plain. I have some lovely pottery pieces and some glass "art" platters. No where near like you all. You must set a mean Thanksgiving table! take pictures.

Mom- New kitten is cute- send bigger pictures of princess!

Patty- have your sons worn you out yet? We did a sleep over Friday... and are having another kid over tomorrow.. Guardians of the Galaxy playing in 3D then a sleep over. Vacation? Not for parents.

Funny story - because I quit my AIs, this morning was my LAST appointment with my MO!!!!

I've mentioned several times how much I adore her, so I was really having separation anxiety. I decided to celebrate. Ever since I had my Exchange, I had COVETED a certain European bra, but never got it. Then suddenly one day, the Bra Fairy had it delivered to my door. I almost fainted! But I digress...

So instead of stripping from the waist up, I left this gorgeous bra on, then slipped the hospital gown on over it. When the MO came into the room, her face lit up, she hugged me, and asked how I was doing. I told her I had a surprise for her. And there, in front of the bay window on the third floor, I flashed her - and the rest of the parking lot!

She was in awe. We had to spend some time oooohing and ahhhing before we got down to business.

Bottom line: she now wants me to do Zometa infusions twice a year. She said that the most recent research came out showing a marked reduction in progression to Bone Mets in lower stage women. She said she knew I'd want to research it, so to just let her know.

We hugged some more, and when I left the exam room, the nurse stopped me and gave me my visit summary. The MO had made my yearly appointment with HER, personally, next year! WOOT!!!

Oh, here's the bra, and yes, I do look just this willowy in it. (snort, snort)

Those extras on the side are just cleavage decorations you can put on it.

Chevy, loved the letter from Helen. Great advice from that salty ol' biscuit.

Blessings ! You are rockin a snazzy bra. Is it comfy? I have had 2 Zometa infusions, 6 months apart. I had my 2nd one in Oct. My MO was not 100% on board, since it is not "standard of care". YET ! I told her I would pay out of pocket, or I would go else where, but I was going to get it. So 2, down 4 more to go.

    Blondie, beautiful GD.....

Teka, you have the best cartoons/coffee photos....

Mommy, congrats on your special new addition....I'm jealous.

Rose, Your pork roast sounds perfect. I eat turkey, but not often. Then I always overcook it, which drives DH crazy. Pork is my favorite.

Blondie- Your grand daughter is so cute! I love 2 year olds they say the funnest things. Have a great turkey day.

Mom- a kitten for the holidays- you are lucky. Nothing more entertaining than kitten antics.

Blessings- wow pretty bra. Glad you got the treatment you wanted. Zometa has a crazy long half life, which means it stays in your system longer than most drugs. It will continue working. I had a onc who said we give way too much of it, a little goes a LONG way. Powerful.

Teka great coffee postings.. coffee is my "go juice." drug of choice.

My poor daughter txted me up at college she is so sick.. I told her to take a taxi to urgent care. Now I am all in a worry. I hate being away from my kids... no matter that she's 18. Ack... waiting for the txt after the appointment. She's supposed to work tomorrow and then we pick her up and home for turkey day... well pork roast day and soy nuggets for one vegetarian kid. She can call out -she is sick.
