I must have chemo brain
I went to get dinner and when I got there I realized I had worn my slippers

HI Nancy! I hope you found your shoes! Was round two as bad as round one (hope hope hope it wasn't). There was a good couple on months there when I could only sit down and do paperwork and bills when my brain was cooperating, and I didn't have chemo, so I can't blame that.
-
Hi Jill. Yes I had the second chemo and did do better with it. Still felt lousy on day 3 and part of 4, but snapped out of it. I feel fine now thanks for asking
-
I recently was responding to something that I thought an uncle wrote, turns out it was my cousin who has the same name.
-
Today I put my panties on inside out and my shirt on backwards.
Monday while in the car with my DH and three sons, I said "I wish there were more raccoons in the world." Cracked my kids up and now it's become a family joke.
-
LOL Poppy. It's good to know I am not the only one doing goofy things. My husband found it quite hysterical that I wore slippers that night. I still hear about. Oh well we all need humor in this mess.

Went to put my slippers on this morning and I got them mixed up
-
lol mommyof2- I guess we all have it.
Nancy
-
yeah
-
Went to appt with shirt inside out. Tried to get into van that wasn't mine. Tried to open gate lock with house key. Those are just the ones I caught
-
I actually went to a car that wasn't mine and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't open. This was long before chemo - can I still claim chemo brain lol

Had chemo almost 3 years ago. Can I still claim chemo brain? I went to work one day this week with unmatched shoes - one brown and one black. They weren't even the same style. Didn't notice until I sat at my desk. -
Twice in one week I wore two different shoes out running errands
-
this thread is getting quite funny. We need the humor. Oh and I am really glad it's not just me. Lol

Went to make my coffee this morning and forgot to put a k-cup in the coffee maker!
-
Oh no! I think I would start crying if I messed up my coffee on a Sunday morning! -
I almost did lol
-
I had a chemo brain moment turn out positive! My DS forgot to haul the trash can out to the curb this morning. When I heard the truck on our street, I ran outside to do his job, forgetting I was bald. ( I have not been interested in the whole neighborhood knowing my condition.) As I scurried inside, the driver honked his horn at me - I turned around to see him take off his cap, rub his shiny, bald head, and give me a big thumbs up! Loved it! Lind
-
ha ha Linda that's funny. Love it. Speaking of garbage I threw a bunch of trash into the recycling bin. Too bad none of it was recyclable. It was a lot of dog hair and dirt from the dyson. Had to dig it all back out. That was fun-NOT

I think my DH has chemo brain by association. When we were leaving for church, he couldn't find his wallet. He retraced his steps (visiting the local college campus), checked both cars, dug through the trash and recycled bins, checked all over the house. Finally decided to call the credit card companies and cancel our cards. Five minutes after completing this task, he found his wallet in a random drawer in our kitchen.
I know he's exhausted trying to wrangle our three boys and take care of everything.
-
Poor guy lol. At least he found it even if he did cancel all the credit cards.
-
Walked into the wall next to bathroom door when I got up in the middle of the night to go. Forgot that you have to take a slight jog to the left to avoid the wall. Woke up hubby and the dog.
-
Ouch! -
This morning while making hubby's coffee, I forgot to put a k-cup in for his. Didn't realize it until i went to put cream and sugar in it. -
lol mommyof2. My husband asked me why I bought so much orange juice. I said no I didn't. He said yes you did we have a half a gallon and a full gallon. I don't even remember buying the half gallon and I think the OJ fairy brought it.
On another note this isn't chemo brain but my dog decided to roll in poop while off leash on a walk. I think I should be excused from cleaning the dog. Nope everyone in my family totally ran the other way holding their noses. Chemo card didn't work for me that time lol

I put my jeans on before I put my panties on today.... This is getting serious!
-
or you just wanted to go 'commando'! -
Poppy that is way too serious. I say call MO and tell her lololol. See what she recommends ba ha ha ( sorry just couldn't resist )
Nancy

Well, I start radiation next week.... so maybe I'll go both braless and commando!
I should probably call my MO and tell her about these side effects. Jeans without panties can cause damage to one's delicate parts... and seeing the panties on the outside of my jeans might give someone whiplash!
-
ba ha ha you are cracking me up. I just got a mental picture of someone wearing jeans with bikini underwear on the outside. Could be the newest fashion statement ( wink wink).
I am glad we can all keep a good sense of humor throughout this journey. Poppy you made me spit water all over my iPad when I read your post lol.
BTW looks like I will start radiation January 27th. You can let me know how it goes
