Had a funny thing occur this morning. Went to make oatmeal for my breakfast in the microwave and I almost put it in the refrigerator to cook!
-
lol Ive almost done that too
-
Good thing my hubby didn't see me do this, he would have called my mom and told her about it
-
lol my hubby would have told me I've lost it
-
made dinner tonight. Went to check on it 20 mins later only to find the potatoes still in the sink, all nicely peeled. Right where I left them.
I really like this thread thanks, you guys make me smile.
-
lol that's another thing I would do. I'm glad I'm not alone
-
lol me too
-
I remembered something to post here but now I've forgotten what it was. sigh
-
I had that happen yesterday. Forgot what I was going to look up online until I was in bed and then I finally remembered!
-
Bought some halogen bulbs. Discovered the next day I had a spare one at the back of a cupboard.
Nearly bought a new handset as couldn't find my mobile phone charger. Found the charger two days later, in the same place where I always put it. Poltergeist activity? If I had a cat, I would blame him!

lol
Usually in the mornings I take the dog out for his morning business and then come in and make coffee. Well this morning my hubby took the dog out while I was busy with other things. Heard the coffeemaker going and didn't think nothing of it until I went to make coffee, I made his cup and mine and when I went to take his cup to him, I discovered that he had made his already. Chemo brain in action
Ended up giving him the cup that I had made for him to take with him to work!

Can you still have chemo brain four years after chemo?
This weekend I filled my electric percolator with water, placed the basket in, scooped the coffee into the basket, plugged it in and took the dog for her morning walk. I totally forgot to put the lid on the basket and pot. I came back home to find coffee all over the counter, over the front of the upper cabinets (white), down the front of the dishwasher and puddled on the floor.
I can't be trusted to make a simple pot of coffee! SMH!

lol ladies but I think I've got you beat. On Monday I was going to get gas at Costco. There I sat in line when a spot opened in another line. To get to it I had to go around a Mercedes Benz. I misjudged the distance and you can guess the rest. Totally my fault. Do you think if I claim chemo brain my insurance company will take pity. Ha - not! So mad at myself
Nancy
-
Oh no Nancy!
-
yeah it was total stupidity on my part - vthats why I want to claim chemo brain lol

Love this thread! Have felt so hopeless and frustrated with my chemo brain, it's nice to hear funny stories and laugh at it for a change

Had a bout of chemobrain yesterday. Thought I was out of tub and tile cleaner, so I bought some at the store. Got home and I not only found the nearly empty bottle but my hubby reminded me that I had gotten some last weekend.
-
Got one better, was putting stuff on the table for supper but could not find the butter anywhere, looked in the fridge, countertops, table. it was gone, disappeared. Finally found later, I was holding it the entire time!!
-
Oh boy!
-
yesterday absolute panic looking for my only pair ofprescription glasses --- until I realized I was wearing the darn things, duh!
-
Dang chemobrain kicked in yesterday. Was taking down the Summer decorations and couldn't find my Fall ones. Found one and though that was all I had, so I went and bought to small ones. Went looking today and sure enough, I found the Fall decoration I had made last year!
-
I forgot my co-workers name when I went back to work...
-
Almost put the dish detergent in the fridge yesterday!
