Sweet photo Mary!
4 mat day - body balance, pink Pilates and two yoga classes.
-
Made it to yoga!!!
-
Ah Mary, Badger & Mikey, you all look so great!
Got a 6 am call to sub in my old room; spent the day there, came home, made a cake & straightened up a little because I'm hosting my Book Club tonight. If I do anything at all, it will have to be after they leave (or right now, which probably isn't going to happen)!
I WISH it were 40 degrees here!!
-
Ruththat is so funny, but I smile sure annoying yo you!! Absolutely , I have done that same thing!!
-
Body ? plus abs class had different teacher and it was a combo step and floor contortions so I didn't do that one. Did 15 mins bike, 20 mins treadmill and 20 mins weights. Tomorrow back to run in pool.
Nice pic badger and mary. Sure you had a great visit and mikey looks quite happy.

Ruthbru, that's hilarious! I can empathize, though, because I started examestane 2 weeks ago and now my sleep patterns are off. I go to bed and then wake up around 3am and feel like I have slept the night but am still tired. Then I doze off and on until 6:30 when it's time to get up.
Nats and Badger, I think that's fabulous that you got together! Last April I was able to get together in Myrtle Beach, SC with two ladies that I had met on BCO. We need to all try to do more of that!
Yesterday I did the rowing machine at home for 15 minutes before work, and then walked a mile at lunch. Today I took the dog to work with me and we walked a mile at lunch (could not get myself out of bed to exercise earlier....the examestane SE are catching up with me. Have to figure out the best way to deal with this.....
Keep it up everyone you are doing great!

Nats and Badger, you guys look great. Too bad Mikey steals the photo.Hope you guys had a great time.
Lilacblue, you must feel like Gumby on 4 mat day
Ruth, just remember that shivering burns calories and should be considered exercise.
Went to bootcamp tonight which was a variety of exercises. Started with a 5 minute jog, plus warm-up exercises, round of burpees/high -low planks before running thru a six station circuit twice. 2 minutes for each station.
Station one - pushing football sleds with 70 lbs of weights the length of the football field, station two -shoulder pull-ups, station three - tire flips with jumps down the field, station four- squats with medicine ball toss, station five - squat jumps with a 20 lb sack, station six - in and out sit ups. As if that wasn't enough fun, we then did sprints down and back up the field 3x before the final stretching.
Happy Friday ladies. Keep moving as everyone is doing great!
-
Nats and Badger, great pic! Odie, I'm exhausted just reading your routine. Lilac, am inspired enough to go for one mat today. Yesterday was Body Combat.
-
Mary and Badger so glad you could get together and what a gorgeous photo and Mikey is such a love bug. Ruth what a story I'll bet you were glad to go back to bed. Odie I'm exhausted just reading your bootcamp schedule I am so impressed, great job. Heidi I don't know I mentioned this here but the wonderful Eduardo went to New Zealand and filmed BC61 so if you do that release then your instructor saw him on the DVD/download, I have been lucky enough to do Combat 61 with him
Martha I hate to tell you this, those se's are normal menopause se's I could not tell you the last time I ever slept 8 hours straight I sleep in 3 to 4 hour increments, sometimes I wake up read or watch tv for 2 hours then go back to sleep for 3 or 4 more hours, I always say if women wanted to take over the world we could throw our doors open at 3.30am cause we're all usually awake
Tonight did Body Jam.
-
I've only been able to check in every 3-4 days so I'm doing a lot of skimming, but it sure looks like everyone is doing great!
I had 90 minutes of pick-up volleyball at the local rec center last night. Borrowed my daughter's knee pads and had a blast. Haven't played volleyball since BC (before children) so we're talking nearly 28 years! A couple of knuckles are dark this morning (broken blood vessels, I think) and my forearms feel a bit bruised (never learned how to hit it quite right to avoid that) but other than that I'm just nicely muscle sore here and there.
Couldn't find my snow shovel this morning so I got out the push broom for a few minutes before heading to work.
Have a wonderful day all!
-
Well Odie, you are Queen of Bootcamp. HeidiHill, you go for it woman!
Today is a across the country drum-up of monies for a charity that BBC backs called, Children In Need (CiN). This year, the "we" of this household are into it. Son out the door early in non-uniform with pound in his pocket to put in the bucket, I wore a tie-dyed costume to workout in at the gym (freestyle double step and body balance) and darling husband was busy in the kitchen all last night making - get this: almond-scented chocolate cherry wedges, chocolate nut clusters and coconut and lime macaroons to take to London today for the CiN fundraising bake sale in the conference room. A few weeks back, we presented DH with a requested candy thermometer to make cinder toffee and he has become quite the candy maker. Grateful DH takes all he makes to work for sharing and I taste crumbs, perhaps one - really. No way could I afford those calories.
-
another yoga class for me. TGIF Have a good weekend everyone and try to stay warm!!!
-
11/14- cardio/core day with the trainer. More core than anything else, my abs will be sore tomorrow. Did some internal measurements today and my body fat % is now in the upper thirties. Only a few more points to go (low 30s is where I need to be). Yay!
Also went to REI today and bought a Garmin Vivofit on sale. If any of you interested in one of these, they are $79.99 on sale right now vs. the regular $125-130 you see at most locations. There were seven people lined up (including myself) to get one today!
-
1 hour running in pool tonight. RhodyMMM, consider joining us in CA June 2015. Still space in the condos. Odie, I'm sore just reading your 'stations'!
Night sculpted friends.

Patoo, what is happening in June 2015? I must have missed that. Unfortunately I can't go, we are planning a trip to Seattle in May to see our son and his wife, and then vacation in July. But thanks for the invite!
Walked about a mile today, the second half was up a pretty steep hill. Hope to get to rowing class tomorrow. I won't go on the water if the class does (too cold for my joints) but I will row inside the boathouse.
-
Yoga this morning, been busy all day & still am...yikes!
-
Good session with trainer this afternoon. He had me position arms as close to body as possible which made push ups more difficult. I know I will feel the lunges tomorrow so it will be bike time
-
Thanks everyone. Promise not to bore you with every workout but wanted to give an idea of what"bootcamp entails. Love the variety of the exercises and the challenge of the workouts.
Today was a rest day from exercise. Have a great weekend everyone.
-
30 min on treadmill-- jogging for 20 min of it-- first jog in a long time--
-
10 minutes on the staionary bike.
-
30 minute workout in the gym and walking!! Have a great weekend
-
after 2 days of nothing and not liking what I was seeing on the scale I dialed it in to a 45minute Jillian Michaels DVD followed by a 45 minute zumba DVD this morning then watched the Jersey Boys movie. If I went flat out I would have been flat on the floor!! This afternoon I did an hour in the gym on the cross trainer thingy and then walked with a bit of a jog for 20 mins which registered as 550 calories on my heart monitor so I was able to have a large (but healthy I think) dinner!
-
1 hour on the treadmill & a 30 minute pilates DVD.
-
Walked in the grocery store today.
-
I walked to the grocery store, as well! We moved to a community, where you can walk everywhere! The mall is even within walking distance!! Love it
-
I did some cold weather (extra calorie burning?) exercise today as it is 28 degrees. Did a 35 minute walk/run and then came home and walked the dog 20 minutes. I'm excited that I managed to find a way to dress warmly enough without wearing a bulky winter coat, but I do need to look into something to keep my face warm.
I also pulled up my petunias, which finally succumbed this week and put away the pots on my porch and the hose. Hello winter. I can't really say its good to see you again!
-
hi all, just a fly-by to say I'm back home. Posting 30 miles walked including my first in light snow. Great to see you Mary and thanks for the hospitality. I will be sorry to wash the dog hair off that black sweater LOL. BBL ♥
-
I went to rowing class this morning. We stayed inside because it was 24 degrees out. Did a 15 minute warm-up followed by three 10 minute intervals. Total 45 minutes of rowing for a total of about 7500 meters. Then came home and deep cleaned the kitchen. Feels good to be productive!

Great picture Mary, Badger, and Mikey!
Ruth: you crack me up! 1am is NOT 7am!
Odie: You rock!
Raked and hauled leaves to the curb for 2 hours with dh.
-
half an hour on the treadmill followed by the zumba class I just started attending. The instructor announced that one of the regular ladies just had BC diagnosis, is having DMx and that they will be having a collection through Thanksgiving to help her with some expenses. Cancer sucks...
