Hi Everyone,

I finished my five-year Tamox run in July of this year.  Since then, my periods have come back with a vengeance!  They are longer and heavier than ever before and are coming every 25 days!  Yuck!  I hear that this is normal because of thickening of your lining while taking Tamox, now your body is getting rid of the excess.

Have you girls experienced this?  If so, how long did it last?  God, please don't say forever!  Thanks for any input.

I don't know the answer since I am stopping Tamoxifen today, but I'm interested to hear what others have to say! My guess (and hope) is that it is temporary as you get rid of the thickened lining. I'm wondering whether my thinner hair (huge change when I started Tamoxifen) will come back again and whether there will be any other benefits or problems as I transition off. I hope your periods get better soon, AniPie!
