Rose…I am a Georgia native but I have never been to the Okefenokee Park. I do not like gators. What part of Oregon are you from? My DH and I have a home on the Central Oregon Coast, Yachats. Are you near there?
Hope I get to sleep better tonight. It is always a challenge. What cocktail of meds will I try tonight? Usually just benadryl
Nitey nite

Rose I'm across from the space center and the National wildlife & bird refuge. We are just getting into season for birds. October to basically March any more. Are you near me? You were in Augustine? I'm confused. Shouldn't we be meeting for lunch?

Foots and blondie and everyone keep warm
Made Brushetta tonight. Did something unusual. Blended Philly cream cheese(I/2 stick) in with the butter(1 1/2 sticks). Finely chopped Turkey lunchmeat, red onion, green onion, green olive-4, green grapes about ten, plum tomatoes (forget) 3-4. Sprinkle very light with mint. Heavier sprinkle with marjoram, tarragon, cilantro, thyme. Provolone to cover. salt optional --ground pepper. 400* for about 7-8 minutes. Oh meant to add garlic --forgot --didn't miss it. Been back for seconds. Holding back from going for more. Could be really good or I'm just getting smell and taste back with thyroid meds.

Welcome to the newbies! This is a great thread, (almost) anything goes.
Jwow, thanks for the photos, love how you ended, dog tired? Have a wonderful trip! Looking forward to more pix.
Chevy, love all the pretty glass!
Blessings, hoping you're taking it easy and resting up.
Cooling off finally, hoping it stays that way.
Thought this was too funny not to share:

I'm always making jokes about how ppl with expensive cars are the worst drivers.. AUDI drivers the highest on the list of offenders...
guess what our free rental upgrade is???
well, this time for sure- it is true!
1st time driving in England- on the wrong side of the road , and it is a stick- so that is on the left.. good thing in high school i used to change gears in the passenger seat while my boyfriend smoked a bowl, or i would not have this skill!
Instead of "baby on board" we need a sign that says "stay back- texans behind the wheel!"

Kitty lovers, check out www.breakingcatnews.com. It's a great blog.

My cat was restless last night. he was waking me up every two hours because he wanted a cuddle from mommy.
-
Good Morning everyone---My cat woke me up brat, I was sleeping relly good.
JWow I missed u were going to England, they are driving on the wrong side of sleep, so u can do no wrong. Maybe that's why America went in a different direction whenpeople came here thinking, my horse needs to be on the other side, let's break away from England.
Our weather is changing today I think from 50's to 30's like in a minute and a 1/2, yes we need that 1/2 minute to turn for the cold.
This one man called here about 5 times yesterday (work) I think he had me mixed up with my 900 number, I get mixed up too sometimes--no wonder.
I have to take a shower today, I remember the days I would JUMP in the shower now it a slow entrance holding on to several objects.
OK everyone have a decent day

And so WHAT is Cammi talking about? I mean with ... WHAT? Was she actually typing while she was "relly" sleeping? And people driving in England are ALSO driving while "sleeping?" On the wrong side? Of the "sleep".... Could she possibly mean "street?"
That's what she said! And she has a horse! Who knew? It's probably her cat, and she now thinks it is a horse.
Did you guys watch Wheel of Fortune last night? It was so funny, I'm still laughing about it...
The contestants were supposed to guess what this one puzzle was, and these 2 guys came up with something about a "Brown Horse".... And everyone laughed, because that wasn't it.... THEN the other gals said something, only changed it to "White Horse?"
So Pat Sajak just stopped, threw his paper up in the air, and turned around and walked away! It was sooooooooo funny! The right answer had nothing to do with a "horse".... of ANY color... Ha!
They finally got the right answer, but he kept referring to a "Horse" the rest of the show! Best show I ever saw.... So funny!
So anyway, getting back to Cammi and her ..... wait! Spookie, did YOU read what she said? And you think MY brain is froze! What about HER? It ain't even COLD there yet, and she is hallucinating...
Okay, write this down.... It's shower time at the old home-stead...
Cammi, I know! About holding ON.... for dear damn life! I mean to the wall, the sink, the shower curtain, and maybe even the soap!
It is a chore.
-
Oh wait! JWOW! You DIDN'T! Ha, haaaaaaaaaa! A stick in an Audi? I mean a stick is bad enough, without driving on the wrong side! OMD!
And your boyfriend smoked a bowl of WHAT? Rice Krispies you say?
You Go girl! How do you smoke a "bowl".... I have never heard of that one before... I saw a "bong" up close once. It fell out of my Daughter's purse when I went to wash it... I just KNEW it was not a fancy vase or something. Plus the baggie of seeds, and the rolling-papers like my Grandpa rolled up his tobacco with.
I somehow knew it wasn't real thin post-it notes. You two gals should be locked up.... Terrorizing all those people.... Hah!
One time when I went to visit my folks in San Francisco, the gal at the rental counter said, "do you want to upgrade to a black mustang convertible? I said "could you repeat that please?" And I got a BLACK MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE! OMD I thought I would just fall over in a dead faint!
ME, driving some sporty little hot car! I couldn't figure out how to get the top up, or down, for awhile, and then my BROTHER who met me there, had the top down ALL the time, and I HAD THE HEATER ON! San Francisco is not ever HOT shall we say.... But we had a blast! I tried to ditch him, but being my Brother, he insisted on staying with me.
Can you Imagine? Me in San Francisco, with my BLACK MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE? ALONE? Oh damn.... the ramifications!

Checking in ladies....I'm behind by like 80 posts or something. I have an appointment tomorrow with LE PT, my arm, shoulder and side are bothering me. Dh told me last night that my right arm/wrist looked larger than the other. Shoulder hurts too.anyway, it's coooold here! I'm off today for Veteran's day, but tomorrow will be crazy at work with weather issues I'm sure. Corporate travel can be a headache during the winter with flight delays/cxls.
I think I'm gonna take a nap while little dd is at aschool

Jwoo, I went to Scotland many years ago, was on a bus tour but one day we had a break and a couple of the gals and I rented a car and I had to be the driver because I was the only one with a valid license, (Back in the days you didn't have to travel with anything but a passport.) We rented it on the Isle of Mull, and I drove it the 40 miles across the island to the ferry stop and we took the ferry to the island of Iona. What an incredible day! And then drove back. In Scotland, at least back then, if you weren't in a city, all the roads were one lane with pull outs every so often, and you always had to watch ahead and if a car was coming the other way and the pullout was on your side (which was the LEFT side!) you were the one who had to pull over and let the other car by. OMD! What a harrowing trip! So I completely sympathize with you!
I'm off to the MO today for my first PFC checkup. Maybe some answers about rads and u/s. Laters!
-
Had a great visit with my plastic surgeon this afternoon. The expander surgery will be in January! I was so happy I was crying. I see her the week before the surgery to make sure that nothing has changed since this visit!
-
Yay mommy...
Well i made it to the shore.
