Blondie- oh your granddaughter is very young, not even to college yet. I did not realize that. I hope she makes the best decision she can under the circumstances. I am know you are a concerned grandmother. I wish you some nice time by the shore and know you have been looking forward to it for awhile now......

    Teka- finding Big Foot?

I took a lovely end of the day walk down along one of the ditches near the river. Saw some lovely trees, a great sunset and met a nice lady riding her horse and walking another. Morgans, and they were just beautiful. She stopped and talked awhile and I talked to the horses. Wished I had an apple or carrot with me to give them. One started nibbling on my camera bag (LOL)....

Here are some highlights from this afternoon. The walk did me good!

Jazzy your right. Did what I could with my arm hurting. Got the rest of the week to catch up on stuff I was going to do yesterday.

Boy do I feel stupid this morning. While looking in my spice cabinet this morning for something, I found the nutmeg that I thought I was going to have to get for the pumpkin pie on Turkey Day. It was on the top shelf, hidden behind the Baking Powder!Snooze

Ahhhhh...hermits, the poison from infusion five is leaving my body and I feel it! Coffee tastes good, hope to have some zip today.

Jazzy, wanna see your feast laid out! It must be nice to feel able to host....I am sure it will be a lovely gathering.

    Blondie have fun at shore!

    Teka, Mommy, everyone, happy Monday.

Footprints- bronchitis is miserable. As someone with life long asthma, I have always had problems with it. Feel better, get lots of rest (hard to do when coughing constantly....)

Mommy- I am constantly loosing everything, including finding the spices in my pantry. Good that you found it!

Bippy- coffee is one of my few decadent pleasures. Yesterday I went to Starbucks and got some of their Thanksgiving blend, and enjoying some this morning. I love their holiday peppermint mocha, but cannot do anymore due to the high sugar content. I enjoy nice coffee drinks there without sugar though....

Blondie- that is terrible you have to hide things in your home from your family. Those drugs are very dangerous in the wrong hands. Pregnant grand daughter needs to not go there. I think you need to go to the shore and take your stash with you......

Teka-did they find The Bigfoot yet?

Getting ready for another week and long day ahead, starting with a 7 a.m. personal training session (last time we will do one of these, as next week we move to twice a week).

Hope everyone has a good start to the week and hoping those in treatment have as good a week as possible.

Bippy glad to hear that you are enjoying your coffee. While on chemo last year I temporarily lost my taste for hot coffee but could tolerate iced coffees.

Blondie I'm going to jump on here. I've lurked on here for a long, long time. I and I know everyone else on here wish we could fix the problem of your GD stealing your meds. But as a former hospice nurse the only way I know of stopping this in your home is keeping them in a lockbox that only you have the key to. That and you carry the key with you always on your wrist, on neck chain or one of those badge thingies - forgive me I can't remember the correct term. Believe you me I've had to do it with plenty of patients. The box needs to stay with you and if you must keep only a couple of pills by the sink. I doubt GD would have the gumption to steal the entire box but you never know. Bet she is counting on you not being as vigilant as you are and would not take the box. I think when we did this in the past it was no secret it was being locked up. In fact a show of what you are doing would probably put the fear of God into her at least as far as your meds. Yes and Jazzy is right take everything with you. Big tackle box would work fine so long at it has a hasp for a lock. Now about your son's meds I don't know. Is he responsible for taking his own or do you give it out for him? In any case it won't help keeping his safe when you're away. But leaving out only enough to tide him over when you're gone. And you definitely need your time away and I hope you get to the shore. Forgive me for being long winded and if this is something you're already doing we need to brainstorm something else. Love your bunches.

Might as well make me an official hermie. I'm one most of the time anyway.

Welcome, LMG! You know a buch of us already. What is it about hermits and insomnia, anyway?

Blondie, I had a nephew that stole my pain meds, you better believe I stopped keeping them where he could find them. I don't keep any meds in a medicine cabinet. I have them stashed, and put together a week's worth at a time. I have several of those week-sized containers, and I also have a stackable thing that I fill up for the day. Walgreen's has a smart phone app that I set a reminder for my meds and vitamins, so I don't have to remember when to take them, and since they are organized by day, I can tell IF I've taken them. I'm not on as much now as I have been other times, but it's still helpful.

my nephew is also a pill addict. It will be his death any day. Never ever gets off it for long, always goes right back...so sad. I will very likely outlive him.

Just got back from PS. I am numb. Have to get thoughts together, too scattered to post about it. Overwhelming but decisions made. It has been a rough day.

    Night night hermies

Gosh ladies, I am sorry you have your family taking your much needed pain medication. Luv has a great idea about the lockbox.

No one wonder why so many hermit, you gotta stay home to keep an eye on your goods. Sigh.....

Hi Luvmygoats- I know I am on another thread with you, cannot remember which one, but remember you and love your handle. Welcome to our thread! Nice bunch of ladies here.

I have been lurking lately and thinking of you all.

Anxiety has been more bothersome than usual the last week or so.  Today I made an appointment with my therapist and already feel more relaxed.  I think part of the problem is that I expected to be more back to what I remember as normal by now.  Another part of the problem, no doubt, is that I don't remember accurately what my normal was before BC.  I think I may remember my normal at about 61 when I am now 71.  Plus, I have always said I was a type "Z" person ... way opposite type "A" people.

Footprint, I don't think I have welcomed you yet ... it's good to have you onboard.  I hope your bronchitis is getting better.

M0mmy, I was glad to hear that I am not the only one who thinks she is out of something when actually the item is lurking behind something.  At the moment I can't find a key that I hid so a thief couldn't find it.  At least some drawers are getting organized.

Hi Bippy.  It's good to hear that you are feeling better.

Jazzy, your pictures are beautiful.  Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Mags. Welcome luvmygoats.

Blondie ... thinking of you going to the shore.

    Bippy, thinking of you.  (((Hugs)))

Teka, I must have missed a whole lot because I did not realize that you were worked up about something.  It's wonderful that your PCP could offer a calming solution.

I hope everyone rests well and has sweet dreams tonight.

I had a skin blemish on (L) BC breast and was getting worked up. Kept looking and poking!! That's what I do, fixate. I didn't discuss on the threads until seeing PCP. Doctors have talked me down from fear of a recurrence, bone and skin cancer.

Hi hermits- lots going on here today.

Teka- glad you are doing better. I can get very worried with every little ache and pain, especially if I feel ANYTHING in my breast. I am constantly poking them but also have some scar tissue so that confuses a lot. For those of us that continue on with them, it will always haunt us The worry can just rear it's ugly head when we so least expect it. Sounds like your primary doc gave you some reassuring advice. Did you get your flu shot today too?

Sally- I am sorry about your anxiety. It is hard to remember the way we used to be and also find some things return to normal, but some don't. My body has changed, my energy level has changed, some of my relationships have changed, and there are some things that no longer seem so important to me. Perhaps you are finding your way into your "new normal" and that is an uneasy feeling. I am glad the therapist is helping you. It is great to have these resources to help us when these thing happen. I hope you feel better soon.

Mommy- I am in my PJ's too and going to bed early. I hope your arm is better.

Hope everyone is doing okay to the start of this week. Sleep well my friends.

Arm finally quit hurting yesterday. Had another day of thinking something was missing. Was washing hats and gloves yesterday and I realized after they were done, I was missing at least one hat and a glove. Hubby found the hat this morning where the others had been, but still missing a glove.
