11/9- took a nice end of the day walk for an hour down by the river to see the end of the foliage.
-
Mary-way to go on your fastest time! I have not gotten below a 12 min miles...yet!
Congrats on your weight loss, M0mmyof2!
Rhody-some days are like that.
I got in 10,000 steps on Friday, ran 3.5 miles on Saturday and have not gotten much exercise today. Only at 6,000 steps...
-
Great job Mommyof 2!!!
Rhody, we all have those days. Just jump back on track and don't worry about it.
Exercise for me yesterday was cleaning house, changing bed linens and lots of laundry. Today I took a trial run in preparation for my Thanksgiving morning race plus did some ab exercises before yet more laundry.
Wishing everyone a great week.
-
Mommyof2 - congrats! That's awesome!
Wonderland - hope you're feeling better
Ruthbru - I haven't been on in a few days and have been catching up on posts...I loved the Queen quote! Need to copy that one down.
Jazzygirl - Great picture - those leaves are beautiful!
Have been getting a work out cleaning out my closet and room yesterday and today and a lot of walking while shopping yesterday. Also did my stretching and 30 minutes on the treadmill today. Goodnight all!
-
First exercise post! 40 minutes walking outside on a beautiful day and 20 minutes yoga at home.
Inspiring to read everyone's accomplishments!

Great job mom writer!
-
Yay, m0mmy and momwriter!
I did Zumba on Saturday and yesterday got a Thai massage at a friend's birthday bash. I will count that as exercise with all the endorphins released. I lost my glasses biking home though. Must have fallen out of my backpack. So bummed.
-
Hoping that sweeping and mopping the floor helped shed at least a couple of pounds. Today is washing hubby's winter coat and the hats and gloves
-
Bike ride this am and trainer this afternoon. Every session with him is different and now I get to use weights
-
Not much exercise, but I am recovered enough for the conference in Miami. Leave tonight on the red eye. And I get to see my guy!!!!! He will be taking me to the airport. He called me Friday evening after he finished his video to tell me how much he missed me

The only redeeming thing about this nasty virus is that I am at least 7 lb lighter, weight I had wanted to lose. We will see how long it stays off. I am still not hungry and odd needing to make sure I eat enough food. Wine has little appeal either. I will know when i am recovered when I want a good meal. I am hoping by Thursday as have a major dinner that evening.
Planning on a major walk, and possibly a swim in the Atlantic, when I get to Miami. Both will be great, and I have tomorrow free.
I had some wonderful fortune at the resale shop. When I looked at my suits and how to represent the organization, I had things I could "make do" with, but nothing new and sensational. I do now. I hit the 25% off anniversary sale at the resale shop, plus serious markdowns on the Dolce suit. So for $300, I got a sensational Dolce & Gabbana suit and a Chanel jacket. (Resale shops are much better here than in NYC...no such deals there - I checked.)
The suit fits like a dream and is a bit edgy, yet very business. Did have to reattach some facings, but what do you expect when you get a $1800 suit for $45? I realized that it has been ages since I had a new suit, and so wonderful to have something fabulous. The Chanel jacket is even more fabulous. Old school tailoring, and silk lined. It makes a huge statement, but quietly. It was maybe worn once. I will have it for years.
Need to exercise, and then color my newly-cut hair. Worked all yesterday, so never got there. Exercise will be walking around Seattle with my guy, and perhaps some other at his place? - Claire

Claire
What a favolous life you live! Can I live vicarously through you? (sorry about the sp). Maybe post some pics of you on your suit at the dinner event? hehe just saying congratulations on a great find, resale shops rock! And congratulations on everything else including seeing your guy.

Did 20 minutes of yoga this morning and now getting ready to take my lunchtime walk which is just about mile.
-
Got in an hour walk this morning....feeling accomplished.
-
Core conditioning and body balance this morning.
-
Have a great time in Miami, Claire! Sounds like a great place to be because I was shoveling SNOW in the cold this morning (luckily we are on the northern edge of the big storm that is sweeping the country, so we only got a little.
Did yoga earlier, and will soon be off to Zumba. I have a beef stew in the oven so need to pre-burn off the calories I know I will be eating!

-
15 minute walk. It's a start.
Plus 15 minutes on the stationary bike.

Welcome Nash and momwriter!
Hi All. I've enjoyed reading the posts and catching up with everyone.
Way to go Mommy!
Ruth: Your cold air will be here on Thursday. Our next 2 day will be in the low 70s so I plan to take advantage of them while I can.
This afternoon I walked/ran at the park. It was 68 degrees, light breeze, and clear sky with full sun shining on the colorful leaves.
Saturday my friend and I hiked a 4.2 mile trail rated strenuous at Hanging Rock State Park. Beautiful hike up and down the mountain in the woods. Below is a picture from the top. Look at the 2nd mountain in the background. It's Pilot Mountain State Park and local people call it the Big Tit in the Sky. You can see how it got that name!

-
Lunges, air squats, push ups, and sit ups. 10 x 8. It was a good workout today
-
4 1/2 miles on the treadmill followed by a Subway footlong sweet onion chicken teriaki (and yes I had cheese)!! As it was "brunch" I tell myself it was really 2 meals and it did have veggies!
-
Saturday - ran 60 mins in pool; Sunday - workout at gym, treadmill, 30 min circuit, 12 min ab-circuit; Tonight 60 mins running in pool. Eating getting better (though Iyzzysmom/s sandwich is tempting so good thing I'm home and not going back out). Instead had Muscle Makers (my new favorite place) cheeseburger salad - Yum - filling and only a little over 600 calories. Picked up oranges, apples, pears and bananas for snacking. Gotta get those blood sugar numbers down! May give Zumba a try tomorrow. Hopefully it will be crowded enough so I can hide.
Voices working - thanks my sculpted friends.
-
Welcome to all the newcomers. Ruth, not the 4 letter word yet??!!!
Izzysmom, your breakfast/lunch sounds yummy.
Nice workout Teacher. Great find Claire. Patoo, I picked up apples and bananas for snacks today too. Great minds think alike, huh?
I went to the gym today for 30 minutes on the Elliptical plus weights.
Edited to add that I am envious of your hiking spot Wonderland. Great photo.
-
11/10- 7 am circuit training with my personal trainer today for one hour. Lots of abs work this morning! I am really starting to like the way my waistline looks!
-
