Visted the surgeon today...

I had a visit with my surgeon today. His plan for me is surgery to check lymph nodes, insert port/cath, chemo, then surgery to remove mass. I will then get a shot every month for a year. Next Wednesday I will see the oncologist to see if he agrees with the surgeon. I don't think there are words to describe how all this makes me feel right now. I just have to hang on for this trip on life's highway.

    hi Sophie14: I am so sorry that you had to join this group and be in this situation. There are so many of us here but we are all pulling for each other. My surgeon wanted me to have chemo first so I would be eligible for a new HER2+ drug, but the MO reversed her and I had surgery first. Either way, you will be ok-you are taking steps to help yourself.. You should consider the porta cath-I have one and even though I find it odd I am relieved  because my fusions are so much easier and faster than others who don't have it. I hope everything works out for you and send you hugs.
