mags.....sorry you are going through...what I call.....mental trampolines......people help out a lot in the beginning, but it's hard for them to keep it up. It's our humanness. When I get in my head to much I go through the same thoughts. I bounce back and forth from its a big deal to it's not a big deal....the mental trampoline. Hope you are feeling better about this soon....added stress is no fun. Hugs
Hi foots
Sleep well owlettes
I am wide awake....but whatever.....don't have to get up before 10am, so I have plenty of time to sleep in

Smarty- have fun on your trip. It's a guy thing to not take enough clothes and think 4 things will last. Only if your sleeping out under the stars alone! Ha. Have fun. Great about your Grandson and SSI. They are something to deal with. When we placed our DD with her long time respite provider through the county, social security refused to up her payments to cover the placement from May to August. They sent us a letter saying they expected her parents to pay the extra. Amazing and what do the folks who have no parents do? Hope he gets the help he needs. We used Alta Regional when we lived in Sacto years ago. They were pretty helpful have to say.
Mags- great cartoon post. The last time I slept really well and woke up refreshed was December 2006. You have a boat load of company. I find I am so chronically tired I fall asleep at the most insane times. Just yesterday waiting for the light to change, huge line of traffic I shut my eyes. I didn't think they were shut for very long until I heard this bitty beep, the car behind me beeped for me to move it. Opened my eyes and there was 8 car lengths of open road where the traffic had gone.. yikes. Nodded off. Oy... needless to say I was not popular.
footprints- happy your dog is better and on the mend.
Blondie-good luck with the bathroom and the family all around. Glad to hear you are getting out with friends.
May we get at least 4-6 hours of sleeep! Be well owlettes.

Looks like MeTV swengooglie is having scary movies all day tomorrow. I am watching Perry Mason hoping to fall asleep.
-
Smaarty, when I got disability, I got that card too (and I have bank accounts). There was some reason CA did this instead of direct deposit, can't remember. Important thing is he'll be getting, woo-hoo (I think it's a B of A card). Enjoy your trip, take lots of pictures!
Little Foot, glad Faith is doing better, you will be too.
Oh, I give up, too tired to write more.
Happy Halloween , be careful driving tomorrow night
-
smaarty...have a fun trip. Yep, it's getting cold. No snow yet. Suppose to get some today. A bit earlier than usual. Got to get the cross country skiis and snow shoes out !!!! I also want to go snow tubing and tobogganing again like a did when I was a kid. You gotta go with the weather if you want to be happy in the Midwest . We have had a great fall.
Watching the replay of the hawks. Was watching diagnosis murder...not a perry mason fan..sorry meow13.
Hope you all not sleeping can fall asleep soon

-
Been awake for a couple of hours due to arthritis is kicking up, only does it when the weather is gonna turn yucky!
-
Oh wait! Is Meow new? She sneaked in on us! How fun Meow! So sounds like you can't sleep either? I'm the only one that can I think, but they let me stay for .... for I don't know why.
Some of you have good NOOZ, of which I am happy, but some still have stuff going on!
-
No .... NO!!!! I wasn't ready yet! I tried to post a fun cartoon that Cammi sent me, but I accidentally hit submit! At least she is up SOMEwhere!
And Spookie and Sassy must be having one dilemma after another... Spookie broke her finger doing a chevy-trick, and Sass, well she will get straightened out soon. She has this DDDDDBBBBBFFFF with a screw-driver, and he will fix everything that he can find. I think she breaks things so's she can keep him around.... I'll try and find this picture I have of him....

-

AND.... he has his Abercrombie's on...

omg, am I ever behind lol Ok mags hope you feel better soon, my sister is having a hard time with chemo. Yesterday I carve two pnks for a Halloween competition at work, here are the pictures.
Hope you all enjoy Halloween.
Chevy thanks for giving a smile to me this early, I am on the train going to work this is my first week been at work 5 days, I am dead tired I don't know if I can do it
I survive day by day. So the theme is walking dead lol -
Morning Enerva! The pumpkin carving is VERY good! You have a great imagination!
But you know, you had better slow down a little~ You have to take care of yourself... Bad things happen when we wear ourselves completely out... or in.... what IS it anyway?
-
Love the pumpkins!
-
enerva. Great pumpkins. Hoping chemo will treat her kinder. Tx is hard. So very sorry you guys live so far apart.
SAS - no wonder you are having a hard tins letting dbf go. Ether the pics Chevy posted I imagine I would have a hard time keeping my hands off this great piece iof art. Yum yum. Something about a bad boy brings out the stilletoes in most of us.
Smarty be safe in your trip.
Have i missed Hawaii pics from gardengumby? Hope she is not where the lava is creating hectic
Blondie glad to see you get out with friends. Before the snow settles in and keeps you frozen inside. Lol.
So tonight is trick or treat night. My family is meeting up with a few other families to go together. I am going as a patient , borrowing a friends moms extra wheelchair. Gonna wrap my head is ace bandage with fake blond and cover up with a blanket. It is gonna be cold. My dh got some scrubs and props to be the dr who is sweet enough to push me. Although many of the adults agreed to help push me so I can go and watch my boys have a blast. It's probsbly their last year. Outgrowing it. Ds's are going to be a hamburger and a yellow m&m. So today j am taking it easy all day. Probably get a long nap ir a couple short naps. I really really want to have the energy to go tonight and be able to bear the pain.
Hope everyone stays safe. Cami - not too much partying ok?

Halloween – I'm going to paint eyebrows on with white-out, wear a plain white tshirt and white pants, and go as Mr. Clean. Well, I'm not actually going to GO anywhere. Actually, I probably won't even go to the door. Oh, and I haven't actually had white-out since 1992. Other than that, I'm Mr. Clean. Just not very, since I haven't had a shower in a while...

*Good Morning Owlettes*

-
I'm hanging my head in shame--wait--it doesn't come up as easily as it used to. I can't believe I haven't been on here in so long, how can I possibly do that, I've been on here for a long time too. I can't ketchup u all know that. So if anyone is new WELCOME this is a lively thread with certain people who never shut up--no name mentioned--but it's a wonderful thread day or night.
I've been a little busy with work but not horribly--with just a few mistakes, like wrong phone numbers, wrong names just things like that.
Mags I hope u'r doing better by now, one thing I've always been happy for u with u'r cousin and DH, such a good support team.
Oh I did see the recipes wow sounds great, nice that u wrote them for everyone.
Spookie how are u doing?
Oh and I really liked the pic of Chevy--oops the dog on the pole--I know she does wer costumes for her pole dancing so I got confused and yes Chevy is our spell check but u have to remember she did write a book about 70 yrs ago so that gives her the edge.
-
Teka. / too funny.
Mags. Come on you gotta do it. They sell white out most everywhere. Why not dress up a little different one day a year. I for one get so tired of my sloppy pjs and baggy sweated or shorts. It might be fun. Even if you stayed home and passed out candy it could be fun. Come on Chevy jump in here and get Mags looking and feeling 10 years younger.
Hootie hoo
-
Okay Peppermint! Me and Cammi will go get Mags, and drag her out in the street with a her costume on. White???? I don't think so... We will dress her up as Tinkerbell! How's that?
And yes! Cammi, you little chit! It wasn't 70 years ago.... well close, but not THAT many! So you have been busy? I just knew it! And you do everything wrong? Is that supposed to be new or something?
I don't think your boss cares! Just keep doing the best you can.... answer that phone in your sexy voice, and I can just see those guys falling over in a heap of laughter. And you resolve their issues? With just your voice? You really ARE talented!
-
-
OK com on Chevy we have costumes to get together for Mags, well wait u ad I don't need costumes we can wear our working gals clothes, but Mags that's different and right no white, don't get insulted Mags but I think white anything would go beyond bounds for any of us.
-
Well, it is after Labor Day, so white is a definite no-no.
I just wrote a long post over on the Hermits thread about my morning. I will shorthand it here and tell you I fell. You can go there for the gory details. Suffice it to so I probably won't even be going to the door. But I'm ok.
-
Sorry to hear you hit the deck Magdalene - maybe you should change your costume to patient, same as Peppermint. Sounds like Snookiesmom and Sass should be patients too, or maybe a Sassy a repair man?
Chevyboy- what are you dressing up as?
I just put on a witch hat and open the door a zillion times to hand out candy. We get soooo many kids and they are so cute. Lots of fun. I have never seen a neighborhood so fixated on Halloween as this one! Lots of fun for the kids. Happy Halloween ya'll!
-
Mags I just read it, u poor thing, falls are hard to take when u'r body isn't as strong as it should be. Well at east u didn't fall over a BOULDER like Chevy did, u'd think her body would be limber with her pole dancing.
OK I think I am officially going to get a cane very soon, I hated to give in to this, but maby I've have more confidence in walking not all bent over I hope--I kept on thinking I can do it, well I can but my body is fighting me like crazy.Even tho I gave it a lot of fun over the years.
Oh and BTW Mags I don't think chevy and I were thinking about labor day white--we just thought in general no white for many of us anymore.
-
Teka you're so funny...thread slowing down. Hells bells we can hardly keep up at 2-4 pages a day. It slows down on the weekends from Friday night till Sun. Sun is irregular. I think it has to do with football.Smarrty------------have funnnnnnnnnn
Mags I hope all is better.
Enerva----------you are so artistic.
Patty LOL with Chevy's pics. The guys don't look like my DBF. MY guy's nickname would be "STICKMAN". Skin and bones.
Water heater going in today, then we can check out the dishwasher. Then I can call the bug guy. It's a domino thing. If you spray for fleas, you're supposed to wash everything in hotwater. No hotwater. No if I can just get the guy in the garage to put the WH in. The liftmaster chain broke----life time warranty----they sent the chain DBF had it only partially fixed.
Methinks Just about everything is about replaced .I'll have to inventory.
ANY ways sorry for anyone's troubles, May be BBL starting a sleep attack. It's going to be work staying awake.
-
Too far behind to even try! So I'll just say "hi"! -
Cami, Get a purple cane and decorate with lazer glow stars. Hope KatieKat doesn't react to sticks. We had a foster cat who was terrified of my friend's cane.
