10/22: grateful so many people at Mom's assisted living like her and her caring, loving nature

Also grateful I kept my thoughts to myself earlier today. Was waiting for a parking space with my turn signal on as there were only 2 in the lot. Driving DH's big F150 pickup (which I have trouble parking), some mean twit in a small car didn't take the smaller spot, took the one I was waiting patiently for. Sat there behind her waiting for her to come out of the car (she was young and very tattooed, kind of like she was entitled to the space), got tired of waiting (she couldn't miss me, it's raised several inches, like a mini-monster). Drove around, found another spot, wrote a comment to the rude driver. Decided against leaving it. Chanting "karma" to myself. Went inside the credit union, she was arguing with the teller: apparently had been there earlier that day, didn't have her license. Teller refused to conduct business without license. I was really nice to the same teller and took my time doing what I needed to.The bi-otch had to wait for me (appeared she was in somewhat of a hurry). Karma, baby, karma!

Lol 2TA. Glad you didn't leave the note. Sometimes it makes one feel better just to write it down.

Today I am once again happy to see everyone buying from the bake sale table. Raised over $30 in 30 mins. That brings us up over $700 so far and 2 bbq's yet to go! We'll hit $1000 for the Breast Cancer Society for sure. Yay!

Today I am grateful to have only 2 more trainings to go and I will officially be ready for the new payroll program start up next month.

Onco, I remember when you had trouble walking (the boot) to the end of the driveway and back. You've made great strides since then. Pun intended - moo

Cheryl, it's nice that you got to spend time with your friend.

Speaking of strides - FurFriend2 it super that you participated that 5k. Good for you.

2TA glad to hear your dad is a bit better and that you got a day of rest.

Jazzy, wish I could go to a conference in northern CA. I always get stuck with snow or rain when I attend a conference.

Ruth, how did you decide between books and yardwork. Yet somehow you still got the yardwork done.  Did you make bad choices? lol

Honey, I read for pleasure and warm fuzzy feelings. Can't imagine that Billy Bob's story created too many of those. Did you enjoy it?

Nite nite everyone. It's tub time.

The temperatures have been about 20 degrees ABOVE normal, which is why I picked the yard work.....plenty of indoor reading days lie ahead....

I subbed for a math teacher the last two afternoons.....I'm grateful I don't have to try to teach math very often, all those numbers give me a headache!

10/25- grateful for a beautiful fall weekend. Temps up to 80 and will be the last of the mild weather before the cold weather comes next week.  It is giving me the chance to get some fall yard work done.

Red, I did enjoy Billy Bob's story because it is a positive one.  He has made an incredible life for himself, and for those of us who enjoy his work as an actor, writer and director, much pleasure.

Grateful for garden fresh spinach which I cooked for lunch and baked mashed cauliflower topped with organic cheddar cheese and eggs, oven baked.  My DH loved both dishes.

Today I am grateful for a wonderful benefit for the Trillium Center that I attended last night. It was very busy as i was manning the silent auction and selling T-shirts and tickets for the 50/50 draw, but very satisfying too as I think we raised about $4000.00 for the cancer center. Final count wasn't in when I left at 2:30 AM.

Ruth, I'm glad you were able to get the yard work done. What's not to like about math??? (says the accountant).

Onco, you have come such a long way in the past year. And remembering that far back isn't the problem, it's yesterday that stumps me. Greenies? Ummmm do they taste better than they sound?

Jazzy - define mild. Because in Canada 80 is gorgeous and hot and well loved. We are currently sitting at 36 F and it's going up to 45 tomorrow.

Honey, I do appreciate his body of work, I just have this mental picture of him and Angelina and those little vials they wore around their necks. Ewww.

    Good night everyone.

Red, I like math alright. I just haven't had to do what they were working on for decades & how they teach it now is totally different than how I learned it.....so it is a steep learning curve!!!

Saturday: grateful that DS, who was flying down to Florida for a vacation, had good flights & arrived safe & sound, on time & so did his luggage.

Sunday: my brother, whom I only see a couple times a year, was passing through town on business, so I am grateful that we got to spend some time together today.

Saturday: Grateful I was able to finally purchase a  recliner on sale and with a year interest free to pay it off.

Sunday: Grateful that  after a week with a horrible cold I was finally able to exercise, and that  I was able to meet up with the San Diego BCO ladies for lunch.

Ruth isn't that the truth. They DO teach it very differently now than back in the day. Glad you got to spend some time with your brother

Cheryl so happy you're feeling better.

Saturday, thankful I made it to the end of our benefit show for the Trillium Center. By 245 am I was really exhausted. Not such a young puppy any more.

Sunday thankful I slept through the night - got up at 10!

Today I am grateful for Lumosity. I thought I was losing my mind for a while there. Forgetting things in a split second. So I signed up for it about 2 months ago. I'm not sure how much it has help my memory but it sure helps your self-esteem. I'm all for anything that does that.

Wilsie, welcome back (did I see you here or on another site). Our furfriends are our salvation some days. Even if they just sit and keep us company.

Onco, I like my greens, I just never thought of blenderizing them. I suppose they would retain more nutrients that way. I always blenderize fruit. Love my smoothies.
