Grateful for a beautiful fall day!

Onco, enjoy the 'mod' hairdo. I never, ever thought I'd wear hair that short either, but it was kind of fun! Plus we are at the age where we can just say that we are eccentric!

That path is a 5 minute walk from my house. There are lots of fun places to walk around here!
When my hair came back, I had it dyed purple.....I really did! Just once & just because I wanted to.......

No, but I live in North Dakota so the country is all around us!
I'd have to dig through the old photos...it was more of a maroon than purple/purple.

Happy Weekend!!
Grateful for life's little surprises

Furfriend2, hi there! I know you . Nice to see you again.
Today, I am grateful that my appt with the Care Nurse went well. Some positive things came out of it. Also grateful that mom is still doing well today and says she is going to come down for a few hours tomorrow.
Everyone have a lovely weekend and to all the Canuck's - Happy Thanksgiving!
-
10/11- grateful to be having dinner with some friends tonight that I have not seen in a year.
Wishing everyone a good weekend!

Onco - my hairdresser gives me a hard time about that as well. She did not go short enough for me this time! I want the pixie and a bit of spike. Hell at 60 with stage 4, I think I should get to call how I wear my hair. My 16 dd also voices loud complaints - not sure if she doesn't like the way it would look or reminds her of chemo too much. Ahh well
Ruth - beautiful photo
Grateful to be on Cape Cod this AM - sitting in PJ, drinking coffee and here. The sun will be out later! DD and friends here as well
-
10/10 grateful the day was uneventful
-
2TA, sometimes the very best of days are the uneventful ones. ((Maddy)).
Nel and Onco, what is it with hairdressers being sure that what they are doing is not only perfect but exactly what you are going to want? I spent $72 for the whole nine yards on Tuesday and I hate it. It is flat, flat, flat!!! My natural curl wasn't taken into account at all, so now it goes all flippy at the bottom and... Okay deep breath!
Jazzy, very nice way to spend a Friday night.
Today I am grateful for a lovely morning with my DH and a very nice afternoon with my mom.
Have a great weekend.
-
thanks Red!
10/11: grateful I am lounging around in my pj's today, watching TV with DH and napping, doing a lot of nothing. Haven't done this in forever and feels good with all the stress I've been under. Extremely grateful for my friends and that my prayers have been heard and answered.
-
In my pj's this am as well, friend and dd with me I will get moving at some point!
-
10/12: my DD is running her first half-marathon along with her BF and I can track their progress from my recliner on my iPad. (Note: probably wasn't the smartest thing to do a couple hours ago I saw the aerial view of the course and got motion sickness so only about 3 hours of sleep).
-
Today I am grateful for turkey day! O O I mean Thanksgiving!. The ham is cooked, sliced and in the fridge, the turkey is in the oven and will be for the next 5 hours. DD1 is bringing squash, DD2 the potatoes and DIL is bringing brussel sprouts (ewww) and pumpkin pie. Add in 5 gkids, my son and 3 dogs and a cat. Tomorrow, left overs for the 2 daughters, 5 gkids and 1 ggkid who are going elsewhere today for Thanksgiving. So 11 sit down to dinner tonight and 10 tomorrow. Gosh I love having a big family!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Happy Thanksgiving, Red! Enjoy time with family
-
Red,
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!

10/12- I am thankful for my brother whose birthday is today, and whom would have been 62. He was always there for me when I was a baby, as a child, and into young adulthood. I miss him so, but was glad I got to have him in my life for the time I did.
2nd time- let us know how your daughter does in her half marathon?
Red- happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy all the family and good eats the next few days!
-
thanks, Jazzy, it appears DD and BF finished a few minutes ago. From the looks of the FB photo, she looks fresh as a daisy, not like she just ran so far. Probably won't be hearing from her personally, so grateful for FB and Internet. (She didn't place, completing was her goal. Looks like her BF, who has run before, ran alongside her, very sweet. They wore matching tanks, hers says "Every beauty needs a beast" and his says "Every beast needs a beauty". Cute)
