Janet, You Go Girl!! Your exercise regimen is wonderful!! Dancing is so much fun, I am sure you are burning calories galore!! You are my inspiration!!! I wish I could eat some of your tomatoes and other veggies from your garden!!
I have been drinking a green smoothie every morning!! I bought a nutribullet !!! I use spinach, spirilina, cinnamon and fruits that I have on hand! Did the elyptical and stationary bike this morning!!
-
Kathy and Janet, I've been thinking about you too. I had been running again and worked up to almost 5 miles but then I got sick :-( That was about 2 weeks ago but I did lose 3 pounds!
I'm getting back into running in the next couple of days. I've been thinking about a nutribullet.....sounds healthy!
-
hi, Tammy! So sorry, you have been sick, hope you are feeling better!! A run of 5 miles, you are awesome!! Rest and feel better soon!!!
-
Hi Gals,
I know you all must be wondering what happened to me. We had a fabulous time in Alaska and walked the deck a lot when we were at sea. I also used the fitness room. Since returning however I have been a slug! We've had a ton of company and I also recently had surgery on my heel to remove a small, flat, hyper pigmented area (not as big as a pencil eraser). The dermatologist thought it should be removed as he was concerned about melanoma. He took a big chunk out of my heel and since then, over three weeks now, it isn't completely healed and is still quite painful. I can only wear open back shoes. He said it could take two months to heal. Fortunately the pathology was benign. So, I haven't been able to use the therapy pool or go walking. 😞 I am frustrated about that. When I get frustrated I eat! NOT good! So I need to get back to riding my stationary bike and stop whining along with choosing healthier meals. 😊
I hope all of you are doing well and will have a wonderful, safe holiday weekend.
-
Rocket, good news about the pathology.....that time will fly and you'll be back exercising.
I did my first run of 2 miles.....working my way back up......
-
Hi, Rocket, good to see you, and so glad the pathology was benign!! Prayers now healing and no more pain!
Tammy! You had a great run!!
I did a lot of walking this weekend and just came back from a long walk and did some hills!
Hi, Janet and Judy!!!!
-
Tammy, glad your feeling better & your running. That's great! I could never run when I was younger so forget about that now! I went for a bike ride after work today, snuck a shorter ride in.....it's getting darker earlier & I'm starting to run out of time.....gonna do some shopping for a stationary bike so I keep moving this winter.
Rocket, glad your pathology was benign! Feel better!
Great job on the walking Kathy!! How's the bullet drinks going?
-
Hi, Janet!! You are so good with the bike riding! We went bike riding a lot last year, and now they are collecting dust!! You have inspired me to take a bike ride tomorrow!! Thanks!! I have been drinking a green smoothie daily!! I am so glad we bought the nutribullet! Are you still drinking the shakes? They are great, too!!
-
we took a long bike ride today, thanks for the nudge, Janet!!! Hope everyone is having a great day!
-
Hi Kathy! Yes I am still drinking the shakes. Not every day but quite often. For example, I Had one for lunch today because I was out on the road doing errands & appointment with my oncologist. I find it to be a healthier choice than eating out. I love my pizza & burgers but they don't love me....he-he I didn't get to ride my bike today but will try after work tomorrow.
Have a great evening! Big hello to Tammy, Rocket & Judy!
-
Good day ladies! I did get to take a bike ride today after work. Cut it short , 2.5 miles cause it was too hot......looking forward to tomorrow, going to see the Yankees tomorrow night with my husband & in laws
Going to wear my Jeter jersey
-
Have fun at the Yankee game!!!
-
Hi Ladies,
I am doing better with exercise. I am riding my exercise bike until my foot is healed enough to wear a walking shoe. I miss my long walks with my DH and puppies. My sister will be visiting for two weeks beginning Saturday. I enjoy having her. My DH is traveling a lot lately, so it is great to have her company.
I hope all of you have a wonderful day!
-
Hi, Rocket! Prayers for a fast recovery! So glad you can use the bike! You are a trooper !! How fun that your sister will be visiting!! I am sure you will have a ball!!
-
Yes, I am looking forward to her visit. I have been doing better with my eating lately. My DH has been out of town, and when he is, I don't eat much. It's no fun cooking for one, so before he left I made zucchini lasagne. I have eaten that for the last three days. He returns today. I have lost a couple of pounds, but need to lose more. I also keep myself as busy as possible. Today I will get some exercise cleaning the house before my sister's arrival. Have a great day everyone!
-
Rocket, zucchini lasagne? Sounds very healthy. Enjoy the time with your sister!
-
Rocket, the zucchini lasagna sounds yummy and healthy!!! Enjoy!! Hi, Tammy! Janet and Judy!!
Did lots of walking this weekend!! Babysitting 3 days this week! So we will be pushing the stroller up some hills!!! Have a great day, everyone!!!
-
Hello!! I have registered for a 9 Km run tomorrow... I was on track training wise until I got sick about a month ago. I've never run that far so I need positive thoughts for my run/ walk!
-
Hi, Tammy!! You Go Girl!! You are going to do great!! Sorry, I did not read this sooner!! Please let us know how it went!!!
-
How did your run go Tammy? Hope you rested after that!
Rocket, glad to hear you will be spending time with your sister. Hope your foot is feeling better every day. I know what you mean about cooking for yourself. When my husband travels I love to get some Chinese food because he doesn't like to eat it, but I know that isn't very good for you.
Hi Kathy! Hope all is well with you.
Things are OK here. Got a good report from my oncologist!! Next appointment in 9 months, glad to see the time span is growing,
Have a great evening, Happy Fall!!
-
Hi, Janet!! Such good news about your oncologist visit!! Pretty soon, it will be a yearly visit!! Happy Fall to you!!!
Tammy, how did the Run go??
-
Hi, friends!! How is everyone
-
Hi Kathy, Janet and Rocket, I did it!!! Yes, the whole 9km!!! I amazed myself....
I'm now on holidays so getting some time to finally get back in touch with everyone.
Janet, great to read that you got a good report! I have a 2 year appointment with scans coming up in January and I'm already getting nervous......
Kathy, how is your healthy lifestyle going?
-
Hooray, Tammy!! That is awesome!! I am still maintaining, but have not lost!! Going to keep after it, thanks, Hon, for asking!! Did the elyptical and stationary bike today ,and walked!! When is your next marathon? You are an inspiration!!!
-
Hi everyone, my holiday is nearly over and that's not the only bad news! I've gained....a lot!
I'm already mentally preparing to concentrate on losing so I can look good at the family Christmas do.
I hope everyone else is doing better!
-
Hi ladies, congratulations on your run Tammy. Your an inspiration. Enjoy your holiday, healthier eating is around the corner as is the holidays!! Unbelievable how quick time flies. Try not to stress about your upcoming appointment....that never helps!
Kathy, your exercise & healthy living is also inspirational, keep up the good work!
I've been MIA for a bit....I've been dealing with some joint pain for over a month. At first I thought I over did in the garden & bike riding.....but after weeks of aleeve, Epsom salt baths & no exercise it has only gotten worse. I finally went to the doctor on Friday & had lots of blood work done. Should get some results today....possible Lyme disease. I'm kind do hoping for that as it can be treated with antibiotics. Other scenarios make diagnosis a bit harder. It's just so bizarre on how much pain I'm in, can't even lift my legs to get into pants, etc....it always seems to be something getting in my way to exercise! Thanks for listening......happy, healthy vibes your way!
(((Hugs))) janet
-
Tammy, don't worry! You have plenty of time before the holiddys😄 just take good care of yourself!!!
Aww, Janet😞 sorry that you are dealing with joint pain ! I pray that the doctors have a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Feel better soon!
-
Well.....it's not a tick Bourne disease. Something autoimmune. I have an appointment with a rheumatologist 12/17. (The soonest I could get) started on some prednisone for now & I am able to move my legs now. Still waiting to hear back from my PMD. Looks like I won't be exercising for a bit! Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy
-
Janet (((hugs))), I hope you are already feeling better! Don't forget us here!
I'm doing OK. I've just signed up to a 12 week on-line training program. That should keep me on track!
-
Dear Janet!!! I wish I could give you a hug in person! Just get better, and then you can exercise! Please keep,us posted!
Tammy, good for you! Sounds really good!! Enjoy!!!
